Description
図1は、第1の実施の形態に係る偏光光照射装置1の概略を示す平面図である。図2は、偏光光照射装置1の概略を示す正面図である。偏光光照射装置1は、例えば、偏光子を通過させて偏光した光(以下、偏光光という)をガラス基板等の対象物Wの被露光面に照射して光配向処理を行い、液晶パネル等の配向膜を生成する装置である。ここで、光配向処理とは、直線偏光紫外線を高分子膜上に照射して、膜内の分子の再配列や異方的な化学反応を誘起することで、膜に異方性を持たせる処理である。
ステージ21は、図示しない駆動手段により、ステージガイドレール22に沿って移動可能に設けられる(図1、2の太矢印参照)。また、ステージ21は、図示しない駆動手段及び回転機構により、xy平面に沿って回転可能に設けられる(図1点線参照)。ステージ21の上面には、対象物Wが載置される。
第1の実施の形態では、照射面12e及び光学部材13のみをステージ21の上方に設け、光源11は別の位置に設けることで、ステージ21の上方に設けられる部分が軽くなる。したがって、照射面12e及びの光学部材13を移動させることが容易である。
第1の実施の形態では、導光部材12として光ファイバーを用いるため、光源11をステージ21の上方以外の位置に設けることができる。そのため、照射面12e及び光学部材13を様々な位置に複数設けることもできる。
第1の実施の形態では、導光部材として光ファイバー束を用いたが、導光部材はこれに限られない。

Claims (4)
- 対象物が載置されるステージと、
光源と、前記光源から照射された光を導光する導光部材であって、前記光源の光が供給される光入射部と、前記ステージの上方に略帯状に設けられ、前記ステージへ光を照射する光出射部と、を有する導光部材と、を有する光照射部と、
前記対象物を加熱する加熱部と、
を備え、
前記光出射部は、第1の光出射部と、第2の光出射部と、を有し、
前記第1の光出射部と前記第2の光出射部とは、前記対象物の走査方向に沿って隙間をあけて並べられ、
前記加熱部は、前記第1の光出射部と前記第2の光出射部との間に設けられ、
前記第1の光出射部から前記対象物に照射される光は偏光光であり、前記第2の光出射部から前記対象物に照射される光は偏光されていない光である
ことを特徴とする光照射装置。 - 前記導光部材は、複数の光ファイバーを束ねた光ファイバーケーブルであり、
前記光ファイバーケーブルのうちの第1の端は、前記光入射部であり、
前記光ファイバーケーブルのうちの前記第1の端以外の第2の端は、前記複数の光ファイバーが束ねられておらず、長手方向が前記対象物の走査方向と略直交する方向に沿うように前記複数の光ファイバーを略帯状に並べることで、前記光出射部が構成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光照射装置。 - 前記光ファイバーケーブルは、第1の光ファイバーケーブルと、第2の光ファイバーケーブルと、を有し、
前記第1の光出射部は、前記第1の光ファイバーケーブルの一端であり、前記第2の光出射部は、前記第2の光ファイバーケーブルの一端であり、
前記第1の光出射部から前記対象物に照射される光と、前記第2の光出射部から前記対象物に照射される光とは、さらに光の強さが異なる
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光照射装置。 - 前記光出射部を前記走査方向に沿って移動させる移動部を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一つに記載の光照射装置。
