Description
請求項4記載の点火プラグによれば、絶縁体と、絶縁体を内側に保持する筒状の主体金具と、主体金具に接合された接地電極と、接地電極に接合された貴金属を含有するチップと、を備えている。接地電極は、表面にめっき皮膜が形成されていない非めっき部を有し、マークは接地電極のうち非めっき部に付されている。従って、接地電極に形成されためっき皮膜を除去する処理を行っても、接地電極に付されたマークが消失しないようにできる。
マーキング工程の下地工程により、第1工程の前に、マークが形成される部分にレーザビームが照射され、下地領域が形成される。下地領域の上にマークが形成されるので、下地領域の周囲に隣接する部分とマークとのコントラストを高くできる。よって、マークの読み取り精度を向上できる。
請求項7記載の点火プラグの製造方法によれば、マーキング工程の第2工程により、第1工程より後に、第1工程においてレーザビームが照射されなかった、第1部が形成される部位または第2部が形成される部位にレーザビームが照射される。その結果、第1部と第2部とのコントラストを高くできるので、請求項5又は6の効果に加え、マークの読み取り精度を向上できる。

Claims (7)
- 内燃機関において混合気に点火する点火プラグであって、
金属製の部材の表面に生じた酸化皮膜、又は、前記金属製の部材および前記酸化皮膜からなるマークを備え、
前記マークは、第1部と、前記第1部よりも反射率の高い第2部と、を備え、
前記第1部または前記第2部における前記反射率の分布のばらつきは、前記金属製の部材または酸化皮膜のうち前記マークの周囲に隣接する部分における前記反射率の分布のばらつきよりも小さく、
前記第1部における前記反射率の分布のばらつき及び前記第2部における前記反射率の分布のばらつきは、前記金属製の部材または前記酸化皮膜のうち前記マークの周囲に隣接する部分における前記反射率の分布のばらつきよりも小さい点火プラグ。 - 軸線方向へ延びる絶縁体と、前記絶縁体の軸線方向の端部に固定された端子金具と、を備え、
前記マークは、前記端子金具の軸線方向の端面に付されている請求項1記載の点火プラグ。 - 前記端子金具は、前記端面の周囲を取り囲む壁部を備える請求項2記載の点火プラグ。
- 内燃機関において混合気に点火する点火プラグであって、
絶縁体と、前記絶縁体を内側に保持する筒状の主体金具と、前記主体金具に接合された接地電極と、前記接地電極に接合された貴金属を含有するチップと、
金属製の部材の表面に生じた酸化皮膜、又は、前記金属製の部材および前記酸化皮膜からなるマークと、を備え、
前記接地電極は、表面にめっき皮膜が形成されていない非めっき部を有し、
前記マークは、前記接地電極のうち前記非めっき部に付されている点火プラグ。 - 内燃機関において混合気に点火する点火プラグの製造方法であって、
前記点火プラグの一部を構成する金属製の部材を準備する準備工程と、
前記金属製の部材の表面にレーザビームを照射して、酸化皮膜、又は、前記金属製の部材および前記酸化皮膜からなるマークを形成するマーキング工程と、を備え、
前記マークは、第1部と、前記第1部よりも反射率の高い第2部と、を備え、
前記マーキング工程は、前記マークが形成される部分にレーザビームを照射して下地領域を形成する下地工程と、
前記下地工程の後、前記金属製の部材の表面のうち前記第1部が形成される部位または前記第2部が形成される部位にレーザビームを照射する第1工程と、を備える点火プラグの製造方法。 - 内燃機関において混合気に点火する点火プラグの製造方法であって、
前記点火プラグの一部を構成する金属製の部材を準備する準備工程と、
前記金属製の部材の表面にレーザビームを照射して、酸化皮膜、又は、前記金属製の部材および前記酸化皮膜からなるマークを形成するマーキング工程と、を備え、
前記マークは、第1部と、前記第1部よりも反射率の高い第2部と、を備え、
前記マーキング工程は、前記金属製の部材の表面のうち前記第1部が形成される部位または前記第2部が形成される部位にレーザビームを照射する第1工程を備え、
前記第1部は、レーザビームの照射によって酸化皮膜の形成を促進することにより形成され、
前記第2部は、レーザビームの照射によって酸化皮膜を除去することにより形成される点火プラグの製造方法。 - 前記マーキング工程は、前記第1工程より後に、前記第1工程においてレーザビームが照射されなかった、前記第1部が形成される部位または前記第2部が形成される部位にレーザビームを照射する第2工程を備える請求項5又は6に記載の点火プラグの製造方法。
