図1(a)および(b)は、本実施例で使用する液体吐出ヘッドH001をそれぞれ異なる角度から見たときの斜視図である。本実施例の液体吐出ヘッドH001は、12色のインクを吐出して画像をプリントするためのカラーインクジェット記録ヘッドである。12色のインクそれぞれは、供給口H010に接続されたチューブを介しサブタンクH030に受容される。その後、インク色ごとに独立した液路が形成された液体供給部材H100を通り、吐出素子部H020に導かれる。吐出素子部H020には個々のインクに対応する吐出素子が複数ずつ配列されており、画像データに基づいた吐出信号が、電気接続基板H050から供給される。個々の吐出素子は、当該吐出信号に従ってインクを滴としてZ方向に吐出する。
図9(a)〜(d)は、本発明で採用可能な、液体供給部材H100と蓋部材H121の連結部の別形態を示す図である。上記実施例では、図4で示したように、液体供給部材H100に設けた開口H500の壁面と蓋部材H121の凸部H521の壁面を、Y方向に平行とした。これに対し、例えば図9(a)および(b)の開口H500および凸部H521は、Y方向に対し傾きを有している。図9(a)は開口H500と凸部H521が同じ方向の傾きを有している場合を示し、同図(b)は異なる方向の傾きを有している場合を示している。

Claims (12)
- 液体を吐出する吐出素子部と、前記吐出素子部に液体を導くための液路が形成された液体供給部と、を備えた液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
本金型と、該本金型の内部にてスライド可能であって、前記液体供給部の第1の部品を成形するための型と第2の部品を成形するための型が前記スライドの方向に配置されているダイスライド金型、を用意し、
前記本金型を型締めした状態で、前記第1の部品を成形するための型と前記第2の部品を成形するための型に樹脂を流入させることによって、前記第1の部品と前記第2の部品を成形する第1の成形工程と、
前記ダイスライド金型をスライドさせて、前記第1の部品と前記第2の部品の前記スライドの方向における位置合わせを行うスライド工程と、
前記第1の部品の内部に形成された中空の領域と外部とを貫通する開口に前記第2の部品の凸部を挿入することにより前記第1の部品と前記第2の部品を当接させた後、前記第1の部品と前記第2の部品を接合させるための樹脂を流入させることによって、前記中空の領域が前記第2の部品によって封鎖された前記液体供給部を成形する第2の成形工程と、
を有し、
前記第2の成形工程において、前記挿入の方向と直交する方向において、前記樹脂が流入する領域の前記開口と最も近い位置と前記開口との距離は、前記開口と前記凸部の隙間よりも大きいことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記開口の壁面と前記凸部の壁面は、前記挿入の方向と平行であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。

前記ダイスライド金型をスライドさせて、前記第1の部品と前記第2の部品の前記スライドの方向における位置合わせを行うスライド手段と、

を有し、
前記第2の成形工程において、前記挿入の方向と直交する方向において、前記樹脂が流入する領域の前記開口と最も近い位置と前記開口との距離は、前記開口と前記凸部の隙間よりも大きいことを特徴とする液体供給部材の製造方法。
