Description
前記ハブ用シールを前記第3世代ユニットタイプの車輪用軸受装置の前記軸受内部空間の車両アウター側の開口部に装着する場合、前記シール部材と前記スリンガを同時に車両アウター側から押圧して、装着する事はできない。(特許文献2参照)
このため、前記ハブ軸に前記スリンガを装着する工程において、前記サイドリップの車両アウター側の端部と、前記スリンガの前記円盤部の車両インナー側の側面との間に、軸方向のしめしろの過不足が発生することを防止できる。
また、上記の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法では、前記位置決め冶具は、円周2分割された円環状であり、円周2分割された前記位置決め冶具を、それぞれ、前記ハブ軸に対し、半径方向に対称方向に移動して配置することが好ましい。
図1、図2において車輪用軸受装置1は、外輪部材10と、ハブ軸20と、内輪30と、複数の転動体としての玉40と、2個の保持器41と、を有する。
シール部材51は、芯金52の円筒部54を外輪部材10のシール嵌合面19に内嵌して外輪部材10に固定されている。
円盤部62のハブフランジ22側すなわちアウター側の側面はスリンガ外側面66となっている。スリンガ60は、軸嵌合面63をハブ軸20の第1内輪軌道21とハブフランジ22の間のスリンガ圧入面24に外嵌してハブ軸20に装着されている。
図4は本発明の一実施形態の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法に用いる位置決め冶具の平面図であり、図4は図3のA−A矢視を示している。
本発明の一実施形態の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法の特徴は、スリンガ60のハブ軸20への装着方法にある。以下図2、図3、図4に基づき本発明の一実施形態の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法の特徴である、スリンガ60のハブ軸20への装着方法について説明する。
図3に示すように、ハブフランジ22、内輪軌道31、内輪嵌合面23、スリンガ圧入面24等、すべての単体としての加工が完了したハブ軸20は、ハブフランジ22のアウター側の側面26をベース100の上面101に接して、ベース100に据付ける。

Claims (3)
- 内周に外輪軌道が形成された外輪部材と、
外周に内輪軌道が形成され、軸方向一方側の端部に半径方向外方に拡径して延在するハブフランジを有するハブ軸と、
前記外輪部材の外輪軌道および前記ハブ軸の内輪軌道の間で転動する複数の転動体と、
前記外輪部材と前記ハブ軸との間の軸受内部空間の前記ハブフランジ側の開口部を密封する密封装置と、を有し、
前記密封装置は、金属製のスリンガと、金属製の芯金と合成ゴム製のシール部を有するシール部材と、を有し、
前記スリンガは、前記ハブ軸の前記内輪軌道と前記ハブフランジの間の肩外周面に圧入される円筒部と、前記円筒部の前記ハブフランジ側の端部から径方向外方に拡径する円盤部とを有し、
前記シール部は、前記円盤部に対向し、前記円盤部の方向に拡径するサイドリップを有し、
前記サイドリップの前記円盤部側の端部は、前記円盤部の前記シール部側の側面に適正なしめしろをもって摺接する
車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法であって、
軸方向の幅が、前記適正なしめしろを得るために設定された、前記円盤部の前記ハブフランジ側の側面と前記ハブフランジの前記スリンガ側の側面との間隔に等しく、円周方向に複数に分割された円環状の位置決め冶具を用い、
前記位置決め冶具を、前記位置決め冶具の軸方向一方側の側面を前記ハブフランジの前記スリンガ側の側面に当接して配置し、
圧入冶具で前記スリンガを押圧することによって、前記スリンガを軸方向他方側から軸方向一方側へ移動させ、
前記スリンガの前記円盤部の前記ハブフランジ側の側面が、前記位置決め冶具の軸方向他方側の側面に当接すると当該移動を停止させて、前記スリンガを装着することを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法。 - 前記スリンガは、前記外輪部材が組み付けられていない状態の前記ハブ軸に対して装着されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法。
- 前記位置決め冶具は、円周2分割された円環状であり、円周2分割された前記位置決め冶具を、それぞれ、前記ハブ軸に対し、半径方向に対称方向に移動して配置することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法。
