Description
(a)Li0.9+xFe1−yMy(PO4)を粒子の形態で提供する工程と、
(b)水性懸濁物を調製し、任意選択的に、炭素前駆化合物を加える工程と、
(c)水性懸濁物に湿式粉砕処理を行い、懸濁物に導入された粉砕エネルギーは、100−600kWh/tの値に設定される工程と、
(d)粉砕した懸濁物をスプレー乾燥し、Li1+xFe1−yMy(PO4)の二次凝集体を得る工程と、
(e)二次凝集体を熱処理する工程。
また、粉砕工程中に、さらなる分散剤を段階的に、又は連続して加えてもよい。驚くべきことに、主に2つの因子(すなわち、研磨球の直径及び粉砕中に導入される粉砕エネルギー)が、一次粒径及びその後の構造及び二次凝集体の特性に影響を与えることがわかった。
粒度分布の決定
市販デバイスを用いた光散乱方法を用い、二次凝集体の粒度分布を決定する。この方法は、それ自体が当業者に公知であり、特に、特開2002−151082号及び国際公開第02/083555号の開示も参照される。この場合に、Malvern乾燥粉末フィーダScirocco ADA 2000を備えるレーザ回折測定装置(Mastersizer 2000 APA 5005、Malvern Instruments GmbH、Herrenberg、DE)及び製造業者のソフトウエア(バージョン5.40)によって粒度分布を決定した。Fraunhoferデータ分析方法を使用したため、材料の屈折率の設定は、0.00であった。製造業者の指示に従って、サンプルの調製及び測定を行った。空気の分散圧0.2barを使用した。
粉末の抵抗率[Ωcm]=抵抗[Ω]×厚み[cm]×RCF
(RCF=デバイスに依存する抵抗率補正因子)
(真の材料密度をISO 1183−1に従って決定した)。純粋なLiFePO4について、この値は3.56kg/lである。
国際公開第2005/051840号の水熱合成によって、リチウム遷移金属リン酸塩、例えば、LiFePO4、LiCoPO4、LiMnPO4が得られた。この合成方法を、Li0.9+xFe1−yMgy(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−yFey(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−yCoy(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−yZny(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−yAly(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−y(Zn,Mg)y(PO4)、Li0.9+xFe1−yMny(PO4)のようなすべてのリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩に同様に適用され得る。
3.1 炭素コーティングされたLiFePO 4 (C−LiFePO 4 又はC−LFP)二次凝集体の調製
LiFePO4の一次粒子から本質的になる湿った濾過ケーキは、典型的には、針状物及び平板状の形態であり、これを10質量%のラクトース(固体リチウム鉄リン酸塩を基準とする)と混合する。以下の粉砕工程の効率を最大限にするために、固形分含有量が52.5%の懸濁物を、蒸留水を用いて調製した。
実施例3.1のように合成を行った。LiFePO4の代わりにLiMnPO4を使用した。
実施例3.1のように合成を行った。LiFePO4の代わりにLiCoPO4を使用した。
実施例3.1のように合成を行った。LiFePO4の代わりにLiMn0.67Fe0.33PO4を使用した。
実施例3.1のように合成を行った。スプレー乾燥中、300℃の代わりに、気体の投入口温度を180℃に設定した。アトマイザによる霧化ノズル、及びアトマイザによる霧化圧力、出口温度及び乾燥用気体の量のような他の自由なスプレー乾燥パラメータは、実施例3.1と比較して変わらないままであり、低い気体投入口温度に合わせなかった。従って、かなり低い気体投入口温度によって、スラリー供給がかなり少なくなり、スラリー供給は、スプレードライヤの出口温度制御によって決定されるパラメータである。結果として、かなり少ないスラリー供給によって、アトマイザによる霧化後にかなり小さいスラリー液滴が得られ、最終的に、かなり微細な凝集生成物を生じる。
90重量部の本発明のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩又は炭素コーティングされたリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩を、5部の炭素と混合することによって、電極を調製した。5部のバインダーをN−メチル−2−ピロリドン溶液で希釈し、混合物に加えた。この混合物を混練してスラリーを得た。スラリーを、ドクターブレードによって、集電体として働く集電体用アルミニウム箔に塗布した。この膜を500mbarの減圧下、60℃で2時間乾燥させた。
Claims (18)
- x≦0.3、0≦y≦1であり、一次粒子の凝集体から作られる二次粒子の形態で、Mが金属又は半金属又はこれらの混合物である式Li0.9+xFe1−yMy(PO4)のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩化合物であって、800−1200g/lのバルク密度を有し、一次粒子が0.02−2μmの範囲の粒径を有し、二次粒子が10−40μmの平均粒径及び6−15m2/gのBET表面を有し、一次粒子が、一次粒子表面上の少なくとも一部に導電性炭素の堆積物を有する、リチウム遷移金属リン酸塩化合物。
- バルク空隙率が65−80%である、請求項1に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩。
- タップ空隙率が55−65%である、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩。
- タップ密度が1250−1600g/lである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩。
- プレス密度が2000−2800g/lである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩。
- LiFePO4、LiMnPO4又はLi0.9+xFe1−yMnyPO4である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩。
- (a)Li0.9+xFe1−yMy(PO4)を粒子の形態で提供する工程、
(b)水性懸濁液を調製し、炭素前駆体化合物を加える工程、
(c)水性懸濁液を湿式ミリング処理に供し、懸濁液に導入されるミリングエネルギーが100−600kWh/tの値に設定される工程、
(d)ミリングされた懸濁液をスプレー乾燥させ、Li0.9+xFe1−yMy(PO4)の凝集体を得る工程、
(e)500℃−850℃の温度において実施される、凝集体を熱処理する工程
を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム遷移金属リン酸塩の製造方法。 - 炭素前駆体化合物が、デンプン、マルトデキストリン、ゼラチン、ポリオール、糖質、部分的に水溶性のポリマー又はこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 糖質が、マンノース、フルクトース、スクロース、ラクトース、グルコース又はガラクトースから選択される、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)において、さらなる水溶性バインダー及び/又は追加の分散剤が添加される、請求項8又は9に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)の懸濁液が、6から8のpH値に設定される、請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(c)の前に、事前ミリング処理又は分散処理を含む、請求項7から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(c)におけるミリングが、段階的又は連続的に実施される、請求項7から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ミリングが、研磨ビーズを有するボールミルにより実施され、研磨ビーズの直径が、200−500μmである、請求項13に記載の方法。
- ミリング工程(c)中に分散剤が加えられる、請求項7から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ミリング工程(c)の後、さらなる分散処理が実施される、請求項7から15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(d)におけるスプレー乾燥が、120−500℃の入口乾燥ガス温度で実施される、請求項7から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(e)における熱処理が、500−850℃の温度で実施される熱分解である、請求項7から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
