Description
(1)金属単硫化物(metal monosulfide)を含有する第1組成物を準備する段階と、
(2)前記第1組成物内の金属多硫化物(metal polysulfide)の含有量を減少させて、第2組成物を得る段階と、
(3)前記第2組成物をハロゲン化アルコールと反応させて、チオエーテル基を有するポリオールを合成する段階と、
(4)前記ポリオールをチオ尿素と反応させた後に加水分解して、チオエーテル基を有するポリチオールを合成する段階と
を含む、ポリチオール化合物の製造方法が提供される。
(1)金属単硫化物を含有する第1組成物を準備する段階と、
(2)前記第1組成物内の金属多硫化物の含有量を減少させて、第2組成物を得る段階と、
(3)前記第2組成物をハロゲン化アルコールと反応させて、チオエーテル基を有するポリオールを合成する段階と、
(4)前記ポリオールをチオ尿素と反応させた後に加水分解して、チオエーテル基を有するポリチオール化合物を合成する段階と、
(5)前記ポリチオール化合物をイソシアネートと混合して、金型で加熱硬化させる段階と
を含む、光学レンズの製造方法が提供される。

(a)溶解度の差を利用して前記第1組成物を洗浄又は再結晶する工程、及び
(b)融点の差を利用して前記第1組成物を再結晶する工程
のうちの少なくとも1つの工程により行うことができる。
(4a)前記ポリオールとチオ尿素とを反応させて、イソチオウロニウム塩を製造する段階と、
(4b)前記イソチオウロニウム塩を塩基条件下で加水分解して、ポリチオールを合成する段階と
を含んで行うことができる。

(1)金属単硫化物を含有する第1組成物を準備する段階と、
(2)前記第1組成物内の金属多硫化物の含有量を減少させて、第2組成物を得る段階と、
(3)前記第2組成物をハロゲン化アルコールと反応させて、チオエーテル基を有するポリオールを合成する段階と、
(4)前記ポリオールをチオ尿素と反応させた後に加水分解して、チオエーテル基を有するポリチオール化合物を合成する段階と、
(5)前記ポリチオール化合物をイソシアネートと混合して、金型で加熱硬化させる段階と
を含む。
別途処理をしていないNa2S・9H2O、K2S、MnS、CaS、又は(MgBr)2Sをそれぞれ用いて、すなわち、金属多硫化物の含有量を減少させていない金属単硫化物の組成物を用いて、前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
Na2S・9H2Oを主成分とする組成物500gを容器に詰めて、水とメタノールとが7:3(体積比)の割合で混合された溶液500mLを20℃以下で投入した後、激しく撹拌した。次いで、フィルタを用いて洗浄することにより、前記組成物内に存在する金属多硫化物(Na2S2)などを除去した。前記過程を5回繰り返した後に組成物内の成分を分析し、目標に到達しない場合は、前記過程を2回〜3回さらに繰り返した。
K2Sを主成分とする組成物について、実施例1と同様の方法で成分を制御した後、これを利用して前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
MnSを主成分とする組成物について、実施例1と同様の方法で成分を制御した後、これを利用して前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
CaSを主成分とする組成物について、実施例1と同様の方法で成分を制御した後、これを利用して前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
(MgBr)2Sを主成分とする組成物について、実施例1と同様の方法で成分を制御した後、これを利用して前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
Na2S・9H2Oを主成分とする組成物500gを容器に詰めて、温度を120℃まで上昇させて充分に溶解させた後、固相に析出した物質をフィルタでろ過した。次いで、液状の組成物の温度を60℃まで徐々に低下させながら、固相に析出される物質をさらにフィルタでろ過した。組成物の温度をNa2S・9H2Oの融点である50℃まで低下させて急激な固相化を行い、20℃までさらに温度を低下させた後、依然として液状で存在する物質を除去して、成分が制御された組成物(Na2S・9H2Oが95重量%以上)を得た。前記成分が制御された組成物を用いて前記製造例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。
前記製造例1で得られたポリチオール化合物481.5g、キシレンジイソシアネート503.5g、硬化触媒としてジブチルスズジクロリド0.15g、及び内部離型剤としてZelec(登録商標)UN(Stepan社製)0.80gを均一に混合して、重合性組成物を調製した。
以上で製造されたポリチオール化合物及び光学レンズについて、以下の方法で試験を行った。
前記比較例及び実施例で使用された金属硫化物組成物内の金属単硫化物の含有量をヨウ素滴定法により分析した。具体的には、1%組成物水溶液25mLに1%デンプン水溶液0.2mLを投入して、充分に撹拌した。その後、0.1N(0.05M)ヨウ素溶液を少量投入して色の変化を観察しながら、薄紫色に変化するところを終点とした。ここで、滴定に使用されたヨウ素溶液の量、組成物の重量、ブランク(blank)滴定に使用されたヨウ素溶液の量などを測定し、金属硫化物組成物内の金属単硫化物の含有量(重量%)を算出した。
金属多硫化物と、アンモニウム塩、炭酸塩、硫酸塩、酸化ヨウ素などとから生成される副反応物は、その分子量において差を有するので、ポリチオール化合物試料をゲル透過クロマトグラフィー(GPC)で透過させる際、主成分であるポリチオール化合物よりも溶出時間が短い成分、又はポリチオール化合物よりも溶出時間が長い成分を除いた含有量から、ポリチオール化合物の純度(%)を算出した。
UV−Vis分光光度計(Lambda−365、Perkin Elmer社製)を用い、ポリチオール化合物試料の色相を測定した。具体的には、石英セル(10mm×10mm)及び光源D65/10°を使用して、380nm〜780nmの波長範囲で、1nmの間隔で色相を測定し、b*値を求めた。
粘度計(DV3T、Brookfeild社製)を用い、CP−51(cone type)及び10.0RPMの条件で、ポリチオール化合物試料の粘度(cP)を測定した。
アッベ屈折計(DR−M4モデル、Atago社製)を用い、20℃における、光学レンズの屈折率及びアッベ数を測定した。
光学レンズについて、色彩色差計(Colormate、Scinco社)を用いて色度座標x及びyを測定した後、測定値x及びyを下記数式1に適用して、黄色度(YI)を算出した。

熱機械分析装置(TMA Q400、TA instruments社製)を用いたペネトレーション法(荷重:50g、ピン端:0.5mmφ、加熱速度:10℃/min)にて、光学レンズのガラス転移温度(Tg(℃))を測定した。
光学レンズ100枚を水銀ランプ下において肉眼で観察し、不均一相が確認された光学レンズは脈理があるものとして分類して、そのパーセンテージ(脈理の発生率)を算出した。その結果、脈理の発生率が5%未満である場合を良好と判定し、5%以上の場合を不良と判定した。
前記比較例1〜5及び実施例1〜5で使用された金属硫化物組成物内の成分を分析し、金属単硫化物の含有量を下記表1に示した。
前記比較例1及び実施例1で製造されたポリチオール化合物を用いて、前記製造例2の手順に従って光学レンズを製造した。
金属硫化物組成物を反応器に投入する温度を、10℃、20℃、30℃、又は40℃に変化させた(実施例1A、1B、1C、又は1D)以外は、前記実施例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。次いで、これらポリチオール化合物の粘度、純度、及び色相を測定し、下記表3に示した。
成分が制御された金属硫化物組成物を、20℃、30℃、40℃、又は50℃の温度で1ヶ月間保管した後、反応器に投入した(実施例1E、1F、1G、又は1H)以外は、前記実施例1の手順に従ってポリチオール化合物を製造した。次いで、これらポリチオール化合物の粘度、純度、及び色相を測定し、下記表4に示した。
Claims (15)
- (1)金属単硫化物(metal monosulfide)を含有する第1組成物を準備する段階と、
(2)前記第1組成物内の金属多硫化物(metal polysulfide)の含有量を減少させて、第2組成物を得る段階と、
(3)前記第2組成物をハロゲン化アルコールと反応させて、チオエーテル基を有するポリオールを合成する段階と、
(4)前記ポリオールをチオ尿素と反応させた後に加水分解して、チオエーテル基を有するポリチオールを合成する段階と
を含む、ポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記第2組成物内の金属多硫化物の含有量が、5重量%以下である、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。
- 前記段階(2)が、前記第1組成物内のアンモニウム塩、炭酸塩、硫酸塩、及び酸化ヨウ素の含有量を減少させることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。
- 前記第2組成物内の前記金属多硫化物、前記アンモニウム塩、前記炭酸塩、前記硫酸塩、及び前記酸化ヨウ素の合計含有量が、5重量%以下である、請求項3に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。
- 前記段階(2)が、
(a)溶解度の差を利用して前記第1組成物を洗浄又は再結晶する工程、及び
(b)融点の差を利用して前記第1組成物を再結晶する工程
のうちの少なくとも1つの工程で行われる、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記段階(3)において、ハロゲン化アルコールとの反応が、
前記反応時の温度が0℃〜15℃の範囲を維持するように、前記第2組成物の投入量及び投入速度を調節して行われる、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記段階(3)において、ハロゲン化アルコールとの反応が、
前記段階(2)において第2組成物を得た後に、前記第2組成物を1日間〜12ヶ月間保管した後に行われ、前記保管が光遮断条件において0℃〜20℃の温度条件で行われる、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記金属多硫化物が、下記化学式2:

- 前記第2組成物が、ナトリウム単硫化物(Na2S)を95重量%以上含み、
前記第2組成物内のナトリウム多硫化物、アンモニウム塩、炭酸ナトリウム、硫酸ナトリウム、及び酸化ヨウ素の合計含有量が、5重量%以下である、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記ポリチオール化合物が、下記化学式3:

R1及びR2は、それぞれ独立して、チオール基、ヒドロキシ基、及びアミノ基からなる群より選択される1種以上で置換された直鎖又は分岐鎖のC1−C20アルキル基であり、前記R1及びR2に含まれるすべてのチオール基が、合計2個〜6個であり、前記R1及びR2は、それぞれ独立して、アルキル鎖中に−O−、−S−、−C(=O)−O−、−OC(=O)−O−、−NH−C(=O)−NH−、−NH−C(=S)−O−、−NH−C(=O)−S−、−NH−C(=S)−S−、及びNH−C(=S)−NH−からなる群より選択される1種以上の基を含んでいてもよく、含んでいなくてもよい)
で表される、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。 - 前記ポリチオール化合物が、0を超えて2以下のLab色座標によるb*値を有する、請求項1に記載のポリチオール化合物の製造方法。
- (1)金属単硫化物(metal monosulfide)を含有する第1組成物を準備する段階と、
(2)前記第1組成物内の金属多硫化物(metal polysulfide)の含有量を減少させて、第2組成物を得る段階と、
(3)前記第2組成物をハロゲン化アルコールと反応させて、チオエーテル基を有するポリオールを合成する段階と、
(4)前記ポリオールをチオ尿素と反応させた後に加水分解して、チオエーテル基を有するポリチオール化合物を合成する段階と、
(5)前記ポリチオール化合物をイソシアネートと混合して、金型で加熱硬化させる段階と
を含む、光学レンズの製造方法。 - 前記光学レンズが、80℃〜125℃のガラス転移温度(Tg)及び5〜15の黄色度(YI)を有する、請求項14に記載の光学レンズの製造方法。
