Description
さらに、アウタ側シムのアウタ側フックは、制動力を発生させるパーキングブレーキ時に、アウタ側シムがアウタ側ブレーキパッドに対して径方向外側に移動可能な設定バネ定数となるように構成されている。よって、キャリパの外側部からアウタ側ブレーキパッドに対して、パーキングブレーキにより径方向外側に作用する力が発生した場合であっても、アウタ側シムによって、この径方向への力を緩衝することができ、ひいては電動パーキングブレーキ装置の損傷を抑制することができる。
以上のことから、パーキングブレーキ時において損傷が抑制された電動パーキングブレーキ装置を提供することが可能となる。
ホイールシリンダ部12は、シリンダボディー12a内に図示しない連通通路を通じてブレーキ液圧が導入されることで、ブレーキ液収容室であるシリンダボディー12aとピストン12bとにより形成される空間内にホイールシリンダ圧が発生させられるようになっている。
さらに、アウタ側シム16bのアウタ側フック32cは、制動力を発生させるパーキングブレーキ時に、アウタ側シム16bがアウタ側ブレーキパッド15bに対して径方向外側に移動可能な設定バネ定数となるように構成されている。よって、キャリパ11の外側部11bからアウタ側ブレーキパッド15bに対して、パーキングブレーキにより径方向外側に作用する力が発生した場合であっても、アウタ側シム16bによって、この径方向への力を緩衝することができ、ひいては電動パーキングブレーキ装置1の損傷を抑制することができる。
以上のことから、パーキングブレーキ時において損傷が抑制された電動パーキングブレーキ装置1を提供することが可能となる。
これによれば、パーキングブレーキ時に、アウタ側シム16bがアウタ側ブレーキパッド15bに対して径方向外側に移動可能な設定バネ定数となるように、アウタ側シム16bを簡便に構成することが可能となる。
よって、アウタ側シム16bは、アウタ側ブレーキパッド15bの裏面の一部から突出された凸部15b1と係合するアウタ側係合部32bが形成され、アウタ側ブレーキパッド15bの凸部15b1とアウタ側係合部32bとの間の径方向のクリアランスは、インナ側ブレーキパッド15aの凸部15a1とインナ側シム16aのインナ側係合部31bとの間の径方向のクリアランスより大きく設定されるのが好ましい。
したがって、この構成により、インナ側シム16aよりアウタ側シム16bの方が径方向外側に作用する力をより好適に緩衝することができる。
Claims (2)
- 回転部材の回転運動を直進運動に変換してピストンに伝達し、キャリパの内外両側部のうち内側部に設けられて前記ピストンによって付勢されたインナ側ブレーキパッドと、前記キャリパの外側部に設けられて前記インナ側ブレーキパッドの対向側に配設されたアウタ側ブレーキパッドとによって、車輪とともに回転するブレーキディスクを押圧することにより前記車輪に制動力を発生させるパーキングブレーキアクチュエータを駆動するための電動パーキングブレーキ装置であって、
前記インナ側ブレーキパッドは、前記ブレーキディスクとは反対側の裏面に配設されるインナ側シムを有し、
前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドは、前記ブレーキディスクとは反対側の裏面に配設されるアウタ側シムを有し、
前記インナ側シムは、前記インナ側ブレーキパッドの前記裏面の一部から突出された凸部と、前記ピストンの中心軸まわりに相対回転が規制されるように係合するインナ側係合部が形成され、
前記アウタ側シムは、前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドの外周縁に摺動可能に係止されるアウタ側フックが形成され、
前記アウタ側フックは、前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドの径方向外側の外周端および径方向内側の外周端にそれぞれ少なくとも一つずつ設けられ、
かつ、前記制動力を発生させるパーキングブレーキ時に、前記アウタ側シムが前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドに対して径方向外側に移動可能な設定バネ定数となるように構成され、
前記アウタ側シムは、前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドの前記裏面の一部から突出された凸部と係合するアウタ側係合部が形成され、
前記アウタ側ブレーキパッドの前記凸部と前記アウタ側シムの前記アウタ側係合部との間の径方向のクリアランスは、前記インナ側ブレーキパッドの前記凸部と前記インナ側シムの前記インナ側係合部との間の径方向のクリアランスより大きい電動パーキングブレーキ装置。 - 前記アウタ側フックの設定バネ定数は、前記アウタ側フックの幅、厚み、長さおよび曲げ半径のうち少なくとも何れか一つに基づいて設定されている請求項1記載の電動パーキングブレーキ装置。
