Claims (29)
- 炭酸塩の一部を水酸化物に変換する方法であって、
0.1M(溶液1リットル当たりのモル)から4.0Mの間の水酸化物と、0.1Mから4.1Mの間の炭酸塩とを含むアルカリ炭酸塩溶液を受け取る段階と、
消和工程において、生石灰(CaO)および低炭酸塩含有量の流体を反応させて主に消石灰(Ca(OH)2)のスラリを生成する段階と、
前記Ca(OH)2のスラリおよび前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液を反応させて、流動層型反応晶析装置において体積が0.0005mm3から5mm3の炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)結晶集合体を成長させる段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記CaCO3結晶集合体を調整する段階と、
前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体をか焼してCaOおよび二酸化炭素(CO2)を生成する段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記CaCO3結晶集合体を調整する段階が、
前記CaCO3結晶集合体を洗浄する段階と、
前記洗浄されたCaCO3結晶集合体を乾燥させる段階と、
を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記洗浄を介して、アルカリ金属、硫黄、ケイ素、鉄、銅、マグネシウム、ホウ素、クロム、アンチモン、カドミウム、モリブデン、バナジウム、亜鉛、または亜リン酸の1つまたは複数を含む化合物を部分的に除去する段階をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記洗浄されたCaCO3結晶集合体を乾燥させる段階が、
熱源から熱を取り込む段階と、
取り込まれた熱を供給して前記洗浄されたCaCO3結晶集合体を20℃から500℃の間の温度で乾燥させる段階と、
を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体をか焼する段階が、アルカリ金属、硫黄、銅、マグネシウム、ホウ素、クロム、アンチモン、カドミウム、モリブデン、バナジウム、亜鉛、亜リン酸、鉄、またはケイ素の1つまたは複数を含む化合物によるファウリングを生じる傾向がある設備において前記CaCO3結晶集合体をか焼する段階を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体をか焼する段階が、前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体を100Paから1000kPaの間のゲージ圧でか焼する段階を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体をか焼してCaOおよびCO2を生成する段階が、前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体をか焼して、CaOと、CO2と、固体生成物またはオフガスとしての熱とを生成する段階を含み、前記方法が、
前記熱から電気を生成する段階と、前記熱を使用して前記か焼炉に入れる前に材料の温度を上昇させる段階と、前記熱を使用してCaCO3結晶集合体を乾燥させる段階と、この方法またはその他の工業プロセスにおいて採用されるその他の設備に前記熱を伝達する段階とをさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記低炭酸塩含有量の流体が水を含み、
前記水中の炭酸塩の量が、消和工程に送られるCaO1モル当たり0.1モル未満の炭酸塩を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 10モル%未満の窒素を含む空気分離ユニット(ASU)からの第1の流れにおける酸素と炭化水素を燃焼させることによって前記か焼する段階に熱を供給する段階と、
空気に関する酸素が消耗され、ASUからの0.1モル%未満の水蒸気を含む第2の流れを生成する段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。 - 洗浄されたCaCO3結晶集合体を調整する段階が、前記洗浄されたCaCO3結晶集合体をASUからの前記第2の流れで乾燥させる段階を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- ASUによって供給される第3の流れにおける酸素と、前記調整されたCaCO3結晶集合体のか焼からのガスを混合する段階と、
酸素及びガスの混合物をボイラにおいて燃焼させて蒸気を生成し、前記蒸気を乾燥器、別の工業プロセス、または電力を生成するための蒸気タービンに供給する段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液がパルプ製造プラントからの緑液を含み、前記方法が、
前記Ca(OH)2のスラリと前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液との反応から形成されるアルカリ溶液を清澄白液としてパルプ製造プラントに提供する段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 捕獲されたCO2を、前記捕獲されたCO 2 を使用してパルプ化プラントにおける黒液の成分の一部を沈殿させるプロセスに供給する段階と、前記プロセスから副生成物を生成する段階と、をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記Ca(OH)2のスラリと前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液との反応から形成される塩基溶液を捕獲する段階と、
前記捕獲された塩基溶液を、大気中のCO2を捕獲するガス吸収装置に提供する段階と、
前記ガス吸収装置から前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液を受け取る段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記Ca(OH)2のスラリと前記アルカリ炭酸塩溶液との反応から形成される塩基溶液を捕獲する段階と、
前記捕獲された塩基溶液を、工業プロセスからのCO2を捕獲するガス吸収装置に提供する段階と、
前記ガス吸収装置からアルカリ炭酸塩溶液を受け取る段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記低炭酸塩含有量の流体が、蒸気または液体の水の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 消和工程においてCaOおよび低炭酸塩含有量の流体を反応させる段階が、消和工程において、100℃から200℃の間の温度および水の平衡状態が液体である圧力を含む条件で、CaOおよび低炭酸塩含有量の液体を反応させる段階を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記消和工程から生成される熱を捕獲する段階と、
前記熱を使用して、蒸気の生成、前記熱のプロセス流れへの伝達、または電力の生成、の少なくとも1つを実施する段階と、をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 生成されたCaCO3結晶集合体の少なくとも一部を処理してシード材を生成する段階と、
前記シード材上に新たなCaCO3結晶集合体を成長させる段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 1.0Mから4.0Mの間の水酸化物および0.1Mから4.1Mの間の炭酸塩を含む溶液において、炭酸塩の一部を水酸化物に変換する装置であって、
生石灰(CaO)および低炭酸塩含有量の流体を反応させて主に消石灰(Ca(OH)2)のスラリを生成するように構成された消和装置と、
前記消和装置と流体連結しており、かつ前記Ca(OH)2をアルカリ炭酸塩溶液と反応させて体積が0.0005mm3から5mm3の間の炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)結晶集合体を成長させるように構成された流動層型反応晶析装置と、
を備える装置。 - 前記流動層型反応晶析装置が前記CaCO3結晶集合体を含む塩基溶液のスラリのための放出出口を備え、前記装置が、
前記放出出口と流体連結しており、前記塩基溶液のスラリを受け取って前記塩基溶液から前記CaCO3結晶集合体を分離するように構成された、固液分離器と、
前記分離器と材料連結しており、前記前記CaCO3結晶集合体を受け取って洗浄するように構成された、洗浄器と、
前記洗浄器と流体連結しており、前記CaCO3結晶集合体から液体を蒸発させるように構成された乾燥器と、
前記乾燥器と流体連結しており、前記CaCO3結晶集合体をCaOおよび二酸化炭素(CO2)に変換するように構成されたか焼炉と、
をさらに備える、請求項21に記載の装置。 - ASUが、前記か焼炉と連結しており、窒素を含まない酸素を送るように構成されている、請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記ASUが、前記乾燥器と連結しており、水を含まないガスを前記乾燥器に送るように構成されている、請求項23に記載の装置。
- パルプ製造プラント、捕獲されたCO 2 を使用してパルプ化プラントにおける黒液の成分の一部を沈殿させるプロセス、CO2貯蔵器、EORフィールド、CO2パイプライン、藻類培養、温室、またはCO2の工業消費者の少なくとも1つと流体連結するように構成されたCO2出口をさらに備える、請求項24に記載の装置。
- CO2の工業供給源からCO2を受け取るためのガス吸収装置と流体連結するように構成された入口をさらに備える、請求項21に記載の装置。
- 前記CaCO3結晶集合体を粉砕‐ふるいユニットと材料連結するように構成された出口と、
前記粉砕‐ふるいユニットからシード材を受け取るために、前記流動層型反応晶析装置と前記粉砕‐ふるいユニットとの間を材料連結するように構成された入口と、
をさらに備える、請求項21に記載の装置。 - 大気からCO2を受け取るために、ガス吸収装置と流体連結するように構成された入口をさらに備える、請求項21に記載の装置。
- 緑液を受け取るためにパルププラントと流体連結するように構成された入口と、清澄白液を運ぶためにパルププラントと流体連結するように構成された出口と、をさらに備える、請求項21に記載の装置。
