Description
本出願は、2012年5月24日に出願の米国仮出願番号第61/651,427号の利益及びそれへの優先権を主張し、その全体は、参照事項として本願に包含される。
モノマー(表1に指示される)は、まず適当な量に計量され、溶媒と混合されて、透明な溶液を生成した。フリーラジカル開始剤が混合物に加えられ、全体の溶液が透明になるまで混合された。その後溶液は、所望の温度で動作する連続撹拌槽型反応器に供給され、リアクタ内で適切な滞留時間を維持するよう、生成物が連続的に取り出された。リアクタからの生成物は、高温及び真空下での蒸発操作に連続的に供給され、樹脂生成物から未反応のモノマー及び溶媒を除去した。樹脂生成物はその後、分子量、ガラス転移点及び酸価の分析がなされた。供給原料中のモノマーの組成物と同一と仮定、又は、リアクタに供給される個々のモノマーの質量収支、のいずれかにより、ポリマーの組成物が評価された。酸素含有量は、算定されたポリマー組成物から算出された。
脱イオン水(1323.31g)及び樹脂2(表1参照;450g)が、2Lのリアクタに供給された。アンモニア水(水中28%溶液、26.69g)が、室温で撹拌しながらリアクタに加えられた。リアクタは、60℃の温度に加熱され、この温度で3時間撹拌された。溶液は、その後室温に冷却され、ろ過されて樹脂溶液No.2を生成した。
脱イオン水(172.18g)、樹脂溶液2(表2;310.47g)、ポリエチレングリコール(P 1200、8.50g)、Tergitol 15−S−7(7.65g)、及び10%の重炭酸ナトリウム溶液(0.77g)を、1Lのリアクタに供給し、撹拌しながら85℃に加熱した。過硫酸アンモニウム(1.53g)を水(9.31g)と共に加えた。スチレン(76.50g)、2−エチルヘキシルアクリラート(38.25g)及びアクリル酸ブチル(38.25g)の溶液を、60分間かけてゆっくりリアクタに供給した。水(6.38g)が加えられ、85℃で30分間反応が保持された。メタクリル酸メチル(76.50g)、2−エチルヘキシルアクリラート(38.25g)及びアクリル酸ブチル(38.25g)の溶液は、50分の間リアクタにゆっくり供給され、その後、水の添加(13.81g)が続いた。60分間85℃で反応が保持され、その後、60℃に冷却され、28%のアンモニア水(1.45g)及び水(14.87g)が加えられた。最後に殺生物剤(0.43g)が加えられ、その後室温に反応物を冷却し、ろ過して、生成物をエマルション4として採取した。他の樹脂溶液は特性評価データとともに表2に示され、エマルションは表4に示される。
青インクは、Flexverse III BGD-3153青分散物(SunChemicalからのフタロシアニンブルー15:3色素拡散)を、HLACエマルションと35:65の質量比で高速分散器により5分間混合して調製される。その後、インク粘度は、色分散物溶液(35/65色分散物対水)との希釈により100のmPa.s(cps)に調製される。インクは典型的には、ポリプロピレン基体上でハンドプルーファーを用いて引き伸ばされ、耐性のための検査前に、室温で一晩乾燥された。膜の耐性は、サザーランド摩擦テストを用い、Windex(登録商標)溶液に対するスクラブ耐性を用いて、その後計測される。
実施例3の場合のように調製されるHLACエマルションは、インクを調製するために、水性色素拡散に配合される。その後、ポリカーボジイミド溶液(水中に分散)は、基体上への塗布の前にインクに加えられる。ポリカーボジイミド溶液は、100部〜6部ポリカーボジイミドのインクの質量比で、インクと混合される。インクはポリマー基体上に塗布され、膜は、室温又は高温で硬化される。インクは典型的には、ポリプロピレン基体上でハンドプルーファーを用いて引き伸ばされ、耐性のための検査前に一晩乾燥された。
HLACエマルションは、高速分散器を用いて5分間白色の二酸化チタン顔料分散物(60:40の質量比)と配合される。溶媒(Dowanol DPnB)及び水は、別々に混合され、ブレンドに加えられ、混合される。分散物は金属パネルの上で引き伸ばされ、室温で一晩乾燥される。
本開示は、本出願に説明される特定の実施形態に関して限定されるものではない。当業者にとって明らかであるように、多くの修正変更は、その精神及び範囲を逸脱しない範囲で行うことが可能である。ここに列挙されるそれらに加えて、開示の範囲内の機能的に等しい方法及び組成物は、前述の記載から当業者にとって明らかである。この修正変更は、添付の請求項の範囲内になることを意図するものである。本開示は、これら請求項が示す等価物の全範囲とともに、添付の請求項の用語によって限定されることになるのみである。この開示は特定の方法、試薬、化合物組成物又は生物系に限定されず、それらは無論変形可能であると理解されるべきである。本明細書中の用語は特定の実施形態のみを説明する目的であり、限定することを意図しないと理解されるべきである。
Claims (24)
- 親水性の低酸含有量樹脂であって、
アクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸グリシジル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、アクリル酸プロピル及びメタクリル酸プロピルから成る群より選択される少なくとも2つの(メタ)アクリレートと、
少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸と
を含む混合物の重合生成物を含み、
前記樹脂は、塩基で中和をすると水溶性であり、かつ前記樹脂は0mgKOH/gから120mgKOH/gまでの酸価を示し、かつ34から38までのO2値を有する、樹脂。 - 前記少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸が、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、イタコン酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、クロトン酸又はそれらの無水物を含む、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、アクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸グリシジル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、アクリル酸プロピル及びメタクリル酸プロピルから成る群より選択される少なくとも2つの(メタ)アクリレートと、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、イタコン酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、クロトン酸又はその無水物から成る群より選択される少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸と、を含む、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸メチル及びアクリル酸を含む、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記酸価が、0mgKOH/gから80mgKOH/gまでである、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記酸価が、20mgKOH/gから60mgKOH/gまでである、請求項5に記載の樹脂。
- 前記重合生成物が、2,000g/molから30,000g/molまでの質量平均分子量を有する、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記重合生成物が、6,000g/molから12,000g/molまでの質量平均分子量を有する、請求項7に記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、前記混合物中のモノマーの全質量に基づき、少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸を、1質量%〜16質量%含む、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、前記混合物中のモノマーの全質量に基づき、少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸を、3質量%〜12質量%含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、前記混合物中のモノマーの全質量に基づき、少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリレートを、88質量%から99質量%含む、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 前記混合物が、前記混合物中のモノマーの全質量に基づき、3質量%から12質量%までの少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸、25質量%から65質量%までの第1の(メタ)アクリレート、及び30質量%から50質量%までの第2の(メタ)アクリレートを含み、第1の(メタ)アクリレート及び第2の(メタ)アクリレートとは、同じでない、請求項1に記載の樹脂。
- 少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリレート、少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸及び開始剤を混合して混合物を形成することと、
透明な溶液が得られるまで混合物を撹拌することと、及び
前記少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリレート及び少なくとも1つの(メタ)アクリル酸を重合させるに十分な温度で保持されるリアクタに、前記透明な溶液を供給して、親水性の低酸含有量樹脂を形成することと、
を含み、
その際、
前記親水性の低酸含有量樹脂は、0mgKOH/gから120mgKOH/gまでの酸価を示し、かつ
前記温度が、170℃から270℃までである、方法。 - 前記リアクタが、連続撹拌槽型反応器、管型反応器、環状反応器、押し出し反応器、又は、プロセスカスケード中のその任意の二つ以上の組み合わせである、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記混合物が、溶媒を更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記酸価が、0mgKOH/gから80mgKOH/gまでである、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記酸価が、20mgKOH/gから60mgKOH/gまでである、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記混合物が、スチレン系モノマーを含まない、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 保護コロイドとして請求項1〜12のいずれかの樹脂と、少なくとも1つの乳化重合性モノマーの第2の重合生成物とを含む、エマルション。
- 前記少なくとも1つの乳化重合性モノマーが、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、イタコン酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、クロトン酸、アクリル無水物、メタクリル酸無水物、イタコン酸無水物、無水マレイン酸、フマル無水物、クロトン酸無水物、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、エチルスチレン、イソプロピルスチレン、第三級ブチルスチレン、メタクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸ブチル、メタクリル酸ブチル、2−エチルヘキシルアクリラート、アクリル酸エチル、酢酸ビニル、アクリル酸メチル、開鎖共役ジエン、メチロールアクリルアミド、アクリル酸グリシジル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、ビニルエステル又は塩化ビニルを含む、請求項19に記載のエマルション。
- 水、界面活性剤、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項記載の樹脂及び塩基の存在下で、少なくとも1つの乳化重合性モノマーを重合させることを含む、エマルションの製造方法。
- 請求項19の前記エマルション、水性媒体、及び架橋剤を含むコーティング組成物。
- 前記架橋剤が、アジリジン、オキサゾリン、カルボジイミド、亜鉛又はジルコニウムを含む、請求項22に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 請求項22の前記コーティング組成物及び顔料を含むインク。
