Claims (6)
- 正負の電極を捲回した扁平な電極群と、該電極群を収容する扁平角形の電池缶と、該電池缶の開口部を封止する電池蓋と、該電池蓋に固定されて前記電池缶内に収容された絶縁部材とを備えた角形二次電池であって、
前記電池缶よりも容積が小さく、前記電池缶に収容されて前記電極群を電解液とともに収容する袋状の絶縁シートからなる収容部材を備え、
前記電極群は、前記正負の電極が前記電池蓋に垂直な捲回軸を中心に捲回され、前記正負の電極が平坦に捲回された平坦部と、該平坦部の両側で前記正負の電極が湾曲して捲回された湾曲部とを有し、
前記絶縁部材は、前記捲回軸に平行な方向から見た前記電極群の外形に沿う環状接合部を有し、前記電池蓋に密着して該電池蓋との間を封止するとともに前記収容部材の開口部に接合されて該開口部を封止し、
前記環状接合部は、前記捲回軸に平行な方向から見て、前記平坦部に沿う直線部と、前記湾曲部に沿う曲線部とを有することを特徴とする角形二次電池。 - 前記電池蓋は、前記電解液を注入する注液口を備え、
前記絶縁部材は、前記環状接合部の内側で前記注液口に対応する位置に開口部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の角形二次電池。 - 前記電池蓋は、前記電池缶の内圧が所定値まで上昇した時に開放される安全弁を備え、
前記絶縁部材は、前記環状接合部の内側で前記安全弁に対応する位置に開口部を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の角形二次電池。 - 前記絶縁部材は、該絶縁部材の前記開口部を補強するリブ部を有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の角形二次電池。
- 前記収容部材の前記開口部の周長は、前記収容部材の前記開口部と底部との間の中間部の周長よりも縮小されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の角形二次電池。
- 前記電池蓋に設けられた外部端子と、該外部端子に接続されるとともに前記絶縁部材を介して前記電池蓋に固定された集電板と、を備え、
前記電極群は、前記正負の電極の集電体露出部が前記集電板に接合され、前記集電板を介して前記外部端子と電気的に接続されるとともに前記電池蓋に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の角形二次電池。
