Description
図1及び図2は、第1の実施形態に係る電池1を示す。図1及び図2に示すように、電池1は、電極群2、外装容器3及び蓋部材5を備える。外装容器3及び蓋部材5のそれぞれは、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金、鉄、銅又はステンレス等の金属から形成される。ここで、電池1(外装容器3)では、奥行き方向(矢印X1及び矢印X2で示す方向)、奥行き方向に対して交差する(垂直又は略垂直な)横方向(矢印Y1及び矢印Y2で示す方向)、及び、奥行き方向及び横方向の両方に対して交差する(垂直又は略垂直な)高さ方向(矢印Z1及び矢印Z2で示す方向)が、規定される。電池1及び外装容器3のそれぞれでは、奥行き方向についての寸法が、横方向についての寸法、及び、高さ方向についての寸法のそれぞれに比べて、小さい。なお、図1は、電池1を部材ごとに分解して示す斜視図であり、図2は、斜視図である。
なお、電極群2のそれぞれは、捲回軸Bを中心として正極13A及び負極13Bが捲回される捲回構造である必要はない。ある変形例では、電極群2A,2Bの少なくとも一方は、複数の正極及び複数の負極が交互に積層されるスタック構造に形成されてもよい。スタック構造の電極群2では、正極及び負極の積層方向が厚さ方向になり、スタック構造の電極群2は、正極及び負極の積層方向が電池1の奥行方向と一致又は略一致する状態で、内部空洞8に配置される。スタック構造の電極群2でも、一対の集電タブ15は、電池1の高さ方向について蓋部材5が位置する側へ突出し、電池1の横方向について互いに対して離れて位置する。また、スタック構造の電極群2の外表面でも、電池1の横方向について外側の両端部のそれぞれが、電極群端面51A,51Bの対応する一方によって形成される。
Claims (10)
- 底壁及び周壁を備え、高さ方向について前記底壁が位置する側とは反対側へ開口する内部空洞が形成される外装容器と、
前記内部空洞の開口を塞ぐ状態で前記外装容器の前記周壁に取付けられる蓋部材と、
正極及び負極を備え、前記外装容器の前記内部空洞に収納される電極群と、
前記蓋部材が位置する側へ前記電極群において突出する集電タブと、
前記蓋部材の外表面において外部に露出する電極端子と、
前記内部空洞において前記電極群と前記蓋部材との間に配置され、前記集電タブと前記電極端子との間を電気的に接続するリードと、
電気的絶縁性を有する材料から一体に形成されるスペーサであって、前記リードと前記蓋部材との間で挟まれる天板部と、前記天板部から前記電極群が位置する側へ向かって延設され、前記内部空洞において外周側から前記リード及び前記集電タブを覆う周板部と、を備え、前記蓋部材が位置する側から前記周板部が前記電極群に当接するスペーサと、
を具備する、電池。 - 前記スペーサの前記周板部に、前記周板部を貫通する貫通口が形成される、請求項1の電池。
- 前記貫通口は、前記高さ方向に交差する奥行き方向に沿って前記周板部を貫通し、

- 前記スペーサは、前記高さ方向について前記底壁が位置する側へ前記周板部において突出する突起を備え、
前記高さ方向に交差する奥行き方向、及び、前記高さ方向及び前記奥行き方向の両方に交差する横方向を規定した場合に、前記スペーサの前記突起は、前記横方向の外側から前記電極群に近接する、
