Description
本発明は、(a)Si‐ブロック共重合体コアシェル粒子を含むスラリー溶液を準備する段階と、(b)炭素原料と前記スラリー溶液を混合して、混合溶液を製造する段階と、(c)前記混合溶液に対して、1次炭化工程の後、粉砕を行って、1次炭化物を製造する段階と、(d)前記1次炭化物に対して、2次炭化工程の後、粉砕を行って、2次炭化物を製造する段階と、を含む炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法を提供する。
本発明は、前記炭素‐シリコン複合体と、導電材と、結合材と、増粘剤と、を含む負極スラリーを負極集電体にコーティングしてなる二次電池用負極を提供する。
本発明は、前記二次電池用負極を含む二次電池を提供する。
(実施例1)
(二次電池用負極活物質の製造)
ポリアクリル酸とポリアクリロニトリルを可逆的付加‐開裂連鎖移動(reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer)方法でポリアクリル酸‐ポリアクリロニトリルブロック共重合体を合成した。この際、ポリアクリル酸の数平均分子量(Mn)は4090g/molであり、ポリアクリロニトリルの数平均分子量(Mn)は29370g/molである。ポリアクリル酸‐ポリアクリロニトリルブロック共重合体0.25gをN‐メチル‐2‐ピロリドン(NMP)分散媒44.75gに混合した。混合した溶液45gに平均粒径が50nmであるSi粒子5gを添加した。Si粒子が添加された溶液を超音波ホーン(sonic horn)により、20kHzの超音波で30分間処理することで、スラリー溶液を製造した。この際、スラリー溶液に対して、動的光散乱法(Dynamic light scattering)(測定機器:ELS‐Z2、Otsuka Electronics社製)によってSi‐ブロック共重合体コアシェル粒子の分布特性を測定した結果、D90/D50が1.37であり、D50が92.8nmであった。
前記炭素‐シリコン複合体:カーボンブラック(CB):カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC):スチレンブタジエン(SBR)を91:5:2:2の重量比で水に混合して、負極スラリー用組成物を製造した。これを銅集電体にコーティングし、110℃のオーブンで約1時間乾燥及び圧延して、二次電池用負極を製造した。
前記二次電池用負極、分離膜、電解液(エチレンカーボネート:ジメチルカーボネート(1:1の重量比)の混合溶媒として、1.0M LiPF6添加)、リチウム電極の順に積層して、コインセル(coin cell)形態の二次電池を製造した。
実施例1と同一条件で行うが、1100℃で1時間2次炭化させて炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。
実施例1と同一条件で行うが、炭素原料としてピッチ(QI:0重量%、SP:110℃)を使用して炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。
実施例1と同一条件で行うが、850℃で1時間2次炭化させて、炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。
比較例1と同一条件で行うが、1次炭化工程後の1次粉砕を省略し、2次炭化工程の後、ボールミル(ball‐milling)方法によって粉砕して、炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。この際、2次炭化物の粒子分布は50μm以下であり、粉砕収率は60%以下である。
比較例1と同一条件で行うが、1次炭化工程後の1次粉砕を省略し、2次炭化工程の後、ゼットミル(jet‐milling)方法によって粉砕して、炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。この際、2次炭化物の粒子分布はD50=7.9μmであり、粉砕収率は30%以下である。
比較例1と同一条件で行うが、1次炭化工程を省略して、炭素‐シリコン複合体及びこれを適用した二次電池用負極と二次電池を製造した。
実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜4で製造された二次電池に対して、下記条件で充放電実験を行った。
実施例1〜2及び比較例1で製造された二次電池に対して、下記条件で放電率別特性を評価した。1g重量当たり300mAを1Cと仮定したとき、充電条件として0.2Cで0.01Vまで定電流、0.01Vで0.01Cまで定電圧で制御し、放電条件として0.2C、0.5C、1C、2Cで各5サイクルずつ1.5Vまで定電流で測定した。
Claims (9)
- (a)Si‐ブロック共重合体コアシェル粒子を含むスラリー溶液を準備する段階と、
(b)炭素原料と前記スラリー溶液を混合して、混合溶液を製造する段階と、
(c)前記混合溶液に対して、1次炭化工程の後、粉砕を行って、1次炭化物を製造する段階と、
(d)前記1次炭化物に対して、2次炭化工程の後、粉砕を行って、2次炭化物を製造する段階と、を含む、炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法であって、
前記(c)段階において、1次炭化工程は、400〜600℃で、前記(d)段階において、2次炭化工程は、900〜1400℃で行われることを特徴とする、炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。 - 前記(c)及び(d)段階において、粉砕は、ミリング(milling)方法によって行われる、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(a)段階において、Si‐ブロック共重合体コアシェル粒子の、前記スラリー溶液内の粒子分布で90%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD90とし、50%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD50としたとき、1≦D90/D50≦1.5であり、2nm<D50<160nmである、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(b)段階において、炭素原料は、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛、ソフトカーボン、ハードカーボン、ピッチ、焼成されたコークス、グラフェン(graphene)、カーボンナノチューブ及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つを含む、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記ピッチは、キノリン不溶分(QI)が0重量%〜20重量%であり、軟化点(SP)が10℃〜120℃である、請求項4に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(c)段階において、粉砕後の1次炭化物の、粒子分布で90%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD90とし、50%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD50としたとき、1≦D90/D50≦2.5であり、3μm<D50<10μmである、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(d)段階において、粉砕後の2次炭化物の、粒子分布で90%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD90とし、50%累積質量粒子径分布直径をD50としたとき、1≦D90/D50≦2であり、3μm<D50<10μmである、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(c)段階において、1次炭化工程は、1〜20bar下で1〜24時間行われる、請求項1に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
- 前記(d)段階において、2次炭化工程は、1〜20bar下で1〜24時間行われる、請求項1または請求項8に記載の炭素‐シリコン複合体の製造方法。
