Description
(実施の形態1)
図1は、本発明に係る表示装置の斜視図である。表示装置は、例えばテレビジョン受像機である。表示装置は、矩形板状の非発光型の表示パネル2を備えている。表示パネル2は、背後から照明されて画像を表示する。表示パネル2は例えば液晶パネルである。表示パネル2の周縁部分及び側面はベゼル1に覆われている。ベゼル1は額縁状の金属製部材である。
図5は、実施の形態2に係る表示装置の遮光部材5の組み付けの様子を示す説明図である。表示装置の断面の端部分を拡大した模式的部分断面図を示している。実施の形態2では、遮光部材5の形状が実施の形態1と異なるが、その他については、実施の形態1と同様である。実施の形態2では遮光部材5の形状を組み付け後の形状に近いものとする。図5に示すように遮光部材5の断面は段状になっている。即ち、遮光部材5の断面は、共に矩形状断面を有する外枠部51及び内枠部52が連続しており、内枠部52の位置が外枠部51に比べて背面側へ偏移した形状になっている。遮光部材5は断面が矩形状の部材二つを加工して貼りあわせてもよい。また、遮光部材5は、断面が段状になるように成形した成形品であってもよい。
図6は、実施の形態3に係る表示装置の遮光部材5の組み付けの様子を示す説明図である。表示装置の断面の端部分を拡大した模式的部分断面図を示している。実施の形態3では、遮光部材5の形状が実施の形態1及び2と異なるが、その他については、実施の形態1及び2と同様である。実施の形態3では、遮光部材5の外枠部51及び内枠部52は夫々の断面が矩形状をなしており、内枠部52は外枠部51より厚みを薄くしてある。図6中には、外枠部51及び内枠部52の正面側の面が同一面となった例を示しているが、内枠部52の厚みが外枠部51より薄くしてある形状であれば、外枠部51及び内枠部52の正面側の面が同一面になっていなくてもよい。

Claims (7)
- 背面に光を入射され、正面に画像を表示する表示パネルと、該表示パネルの背面側に配置されており、前記表示パネルへ光を照射する光源と、前記表示パネル及び前記光源の間に配置されており、前記光源からの光を通過させる光学シートと、前記表示パネル及び前記光学シートの周縁部を背面側から支持する枠状の支持体とを備える表示装置において、
前記表示パネルの周縁部の背面側に、前記表示パネルの全周に亘って枠状の遮光部材を配置してあり、
該遮光部材は、
前記表示パネル及び前記支持体の間に挟まれた外枠部と、
該外枠部の内側に連なっており、前記表示パネル及び前記光学シートの間に挟まれた内枠部とを有すること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは、
ガラスパネル部及び該ガラスパネル部の背面側に設けられた偏光板を含んでおり、
前記ガラスパネル部は前記偏光板よりも大きく、
前記外枠部は、前記表示パネルに沿った方向へ前記偏光板の端から前記ガラスパネル部が突出した部分に接触しており、
前記内枠部は、前記偏光板の背面に接触していること
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光部材は、前記内枠部の位置が前記外枠部に比べて背面側に偏移した段状の形状を有すること
を特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光部材は、弾性を有すること
を特徴とする請求項1から3までのいずれか一つに記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光部材は、前記表示パネルの周縁部又は前記支持体に接着されていること
を特徴とする請求項1から4までのいずれか一つに記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光部材は、前記外枠部が前記支持体に接着されており、前記内枠部の厚みが前記外枠部よりも薄いこと
を特徴とする請求項4に記載の表示装置。 - 前記光学シートは、前記支持体の内側に配置されており、
前記支持体は、光を遮蔽し、前記光学シートの周縁部の背面に接触して前記光学シートを支持する部分を有すること
を特徴とする請求項1から6までのいずれか一つに記載の表示装置。
