Crystal Display)を用いて、光源からの光を液晶分子の向きを変えることでON・OFF制御することで、所定の配光パターンを形成する車両用灯具が記載されている。以下、本願において、ピクセルライトとは、高分解能で配光パターンを可変できる光学ユニットで、例えばDMD、LCD等の表示用デバイスを意味するものとする。

Claims (4)
- 所定領域を照射するピクセルライト光学ユニットと、
前記所定領域の上方を照射するハイビーム光学ユニットと、
前記所定領域の左方、及び右方の領域を照射する側方照射用光学ユニットと、を備え、
前記各光学ユニットの光を合成して、ロービーム領域及びハイビーム領域を照射し、
前記ピクセルライト光学ユニットは主として前記ロービーム領域を照射し、前記各光学ユニットは、必要に応じてそれぞれの担当する領域を個別に照射するように構成されていることを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記所定領域は、上端が仮想鉛直スクリーンにおける水平線の上方1°〜5°で、左右端が仮想鉛直スクリーンにおける垂直線から5°〜20°の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記ピクセルライト光学ユニットは、路面描写機能を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用灯具。
- 車両前方に左右一対に搭載される車両用前照灯のうち、一方のみに前記ピクセルライト光学ユニット搭載の前記車両用灯具が搭載されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の車両用灯具。
