Description
ポスコから入手した石油副産物であるピッチ(pitch)に対して次のような酸化工程および精製工程を行って製造例1の分散剤を製造した。
ポスコから入手した石油副産物であるピッチ(pitch;ただし、製造例1とは異なるサンプルのピッチを使用)を使用し、酸化反応時間をそれぞれ1時間(製造例2)、3.5時間(製造例3)および7時間(製造例4)で異にしたことを除いては、製造例1と同様な方法で行って製造例2乃至4の分散剤をそれぞれ製造した。
製造例3および4で得られた分散剤試料薬1mgを薄い箔の上で約900℃内外の高温で加熱した。この時、箔が瞬間的に溶けながらその温度が約1500乃至1800℃まで上昇し、このような高温により前記試料から気体が発生した。このような気体を捕集および元素分析して炭素、酸素、水素および窒素の各元素含有量を測定および分析した。このような分析結果は、各分散剤の製造のために使用されたピッチに対する分析結果と比較して下記表1に示した。
THF500mlに、グラフェンフレークおよびカーボンブラックを8:2の重量比で混合した伝導性炭素系素材の5gと、製造例1の分散剤2.5gを入れてチップタイプ超音波照射を通じて60分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して実施例1の粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
THF500mlに、グラフェンフレークおよびカーボンブラックを8:2の重量比で混合した伝導性炭素系素材の5gと、製造例1の分散剤2.5gを入れてバスタイプ超音波照射を通じて180分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して実施例2の粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
エタノール500mlに、炭素ナノチューブおよびカーボンブラックを5:5の重量比で混合した伝導性炭素系素材の5gと、製造例1の分散剤2.5gを入れてチップタイプ超音波照射を通じて60分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して実施例3の粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
エタノール500mlに、グラフェンフレーク、炭素ナノチューブおよびカーボンブラックを6:2:2の重量比で混合した伝導性炭素系素材の5gと、製造例1の分散剤2.5gを入れてチップタイプ超音波照射を通じて60分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して実施例4の粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
エタノール150mlに、炭素ナノチューブ0.5gおよびカーボンブラック0.5gを混合した伝導性炭素系素材と、製造例1の分散剤0.5gを入れてチップタイプ超音波照射を通じて60分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
エタノール150mlに、炭素ナノチューブ0.5gおよびカーボンブラック0.5gを混合した伝導性炭素系素材と、製造例1の分散剤0.5gを入れてチップタイプ超音波照射を通じて60分間超音波照射して分散させた。これを3500rpmで30分間遠心分離し、50℃で真空乾燥して粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
実施例3で得られた粉末型導電材組成物20mgを図8に示された多様な溶媒10mlに加え、バスタイプ超音波照射器(bath type sonicator)で1時間再分散させた。図8には、このような再分散性を評価した結果を示す肉眼観察写真が示されている。
正極材(LG03):実施例3の導電材:バインダー(KF1300)の重量比=92:2:2の組成で製造されたスラリーをバーコーティング(bar coating)を通じてPETの上にコーティングした後、4プローブを使用して面抵抗を測定して図9に示した。参考までに、図9でCで示された結果が実施例3の導電材を使用した測定結果であり、前記実施例3の導電材で、長さ1μm炭素ナノチューブ(ACN社のchopped CNT)およびカーボンブラックの混合物の代わりに、同一の含有量の長さ1μm炭素ナノチューブ(ACN社のchopped CNT;Aで示された結果)および長さ3μm炭素ナノチューブ(ACN社のchopped CNT;Bで示しされた結果)を使用した場合の測定結果を比較して共に示した。
グラインディングゲージ(Grinding gauge)を利用して前記試験例3で得られたスラリー内粒子の最大粒度を5回測定して平均した。その結果を下記表2に示した。混合粉末型導電材の場合、1μm炭素ナノチューブだけを含む導電材を使用して製造したスラリーよりも2次粒子の大きさが低くなり、製造されたスラリーの粘度テストの結果、固形分含有量が多いにもかかわらず、粘度が低い方であり、非常良好な流れ性を保有していることが確認された。
Claims (19)
- 炭素ナノチューブ、グラフェン、およびカーボンブラックからなる群より選択された2種以上の伝導性炭素系素材;および
複数種のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を含み、分子量300乃至1000のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を60重量%以上の含有量で含む分散剤を含む導電材組成物。 - 前記分散剤は、前記伝導性炭素系素材の表面に吸着されている、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 粉末状態を有する、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 前記伝導性炭素系素材は、カーボンブラックの10乃至90重量%と、グラフェンおよび炭素ナノチューブから選択された1種以上の10乃至90重量%とを含む、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 複数種のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を元素分析した時、酸素含有量が前記分散剤の全体元素含有量の12乃至50重量%である、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- ポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物は、5乃至30個のベンゼン環が含まれている芳香族炭化水素に酸素含有作用基が一つ以上結合された構造を有する、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 芳香族炭化水素は、7乃至20個のベンゼン環を構造内に有する、請求項6に記載の導電材組成物。
- 酸素含有作用基は、ヒドロキシ基、エポキシ基、カルボキシ基、ニトロ基およびスルホン酸からなる群より選択された1種以上を含む、請求項6に記載の分散剤。
- 前記伝導性炭素系素材の100重量部を基準に、分散剤の1乃至50重量部を含む、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 電池の電極形成のために使用される、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- リチウム二次電池の電極スラリー組成物に含まれる、請求項10に記載の導電材組成物。
- 前記伝導性炭素系素材と、分散剤が極性溶媒内に分散されている分散液を形成する段階;および
前記分散液に超音波を照射したり物理的力を印加して前記伝導性炭素系素材を分散させる段階を含む請求項1に記載の導電材組成物の製造方法。 - 前記分散段階後に、前記分散液から粉末状態の導電材組成物を回収および乾燥する段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の導電材組成物の製造方法。
- 電極活物質、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物、結合剤および溶媒を含むリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 電極活物質は、正極活物質または負極活物質を含む、請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 結合剤は、ビニリデンフルオライド/ヘキサフルオロプロピレンコポリマー、ポリビニリデンフルオライド、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリアクリレート、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリ(スチレン−ブタジエン)共重合体、アルギネートおよびポリドーパミンからなる群より選択された1種以上を含む、請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 溶媒は、水、N−メチルピロリドン、アセトン、テトラヒドロフランおよびデカンからなる群より選択された1種以上を含む、請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 電極活物質、導電材組成物および結合剤を合わせた固形分の総含有量100重量部に対して、
電極活物質の70乃至98重量部と、
導電材組成物の0.1乃至15重量部と、
結合剤の1.0乃至20重量部と、を含む、請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。 - 集電体と、負極活物質、導電材および結合剤を含み、前記集電体上に形成された負極活物質層を含む負極;
集電体と、正極活物質、導電材および結合剤を含み、前記集電体上に形成された正極活物質層を含む正極;および
電解質を含み、
前記負極活物質層または正極活物質層に含まれている導電材の少なくとも一つは、請求項1に記載の導電材組成物を含むリチウム二次電池。
