Claims (3)
- 液晶ディスプレーに用いられる検査方法であって、
シーケンス制御器はソース駆動器に、周期的な矩形波信号である極性反転信号を提供するステップ201と、
前記ソース駆動器は、予め設置された参考電圧とシーケンス制御器が提供する極性反転信号に基づいて、受信された表示データ信号に対してデジタル−アナログ変換を行って第1の画素電圧信号を生成するステップ202と、
検査対象CELLに階調画面を載せるように、ゲート駆動器が前記検査対象CELLに行走査信号を提供し、当該行走査信号の制御で前記ソース駆動器が生成された前記第1の画素電圧信号を前記検査対象CELLに送信するステップ203と、
制御スイッチは、信号源と前記ソース駆動器と接続される状態になるように制御するステップ204と、
前記信号源は前記ソース駆動器に連続するハイレベル信号と連続するローレベル信号を含む極性反転信号を提供するステップ205と、
前記ソース駆動器は、予め設置された参考電圧と前記信号源が提供する極性反転信号に基づいて、受信された階調画面を前記検査対象CELLに表示するための表示データ信号に対してデジタル−アナログ変換を行って前記検査対象CELLの横方向隣接画素の極性を、所定の画素数毎に反転させる第2の画素電圧信号を生成するステップ206と、
前記検査対象CELLに階調画面を載せるように、前記ゲート駆動器が前記検査対象CELLに前記行走査信号を提供するとともに、前記ソース駆動器が前記検査対象CELLに前記第2の画素電圧信号を送信し、配向膜破損領域における白い点を突出させ、前記行走査信号と前記第2の画素電圧信号によって前記検査対象CELLの画素の極性を列単位で反転させるステップ207と、
階調画面において顕著な明るい領域があるか否かに基づいて、前記検査対象CELLにおいて白い点があるか否かを判定するステップ208と、
を含み、
ステップ202において生成された前記第1の画素電圧信号が形成する極性反転モデルは、行反転モデル或いは点反転モデルであり、
ステップ206において生成された前記第2の画素電圧信号が形成する極性反転モデルは、列反転モデルであることを特徴とする検査方法。 - 前記列反転モデルは、前記検査対象CELLの画素を一列毎に反転するモデル或いは二列毎に反転するモデルであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検査方法。
- 前記制御スイッチは、マルチチャネル選択スイッチであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検査方法。
