Description
先ず,本発明の実施形態にかかるリチウムイオンキャパシタ用電極製造装置(以下「電極製造装置」と称する。)について図面を参照しながら説明する。ここでは,リチウムイオン二次電池などのリチウムイオンキャパシタに用いられる負電極(アノード)を製造するための工程として,電極シート上の電極材料にリチウムイオンをドーピングする工程を実施するための電極製造装置(ドーピング装置)を例に挙げる。
次に,電極製造装置100による電極製造処理において,リチウムイオンをドーピングする際に用いられるロール状の電極シートについて説明する。ここではリチウムイオン二次電池の負電極を製造する際に用いられるロール状の電極シートを例に挙げる。
次に,このような炭素材料Cが形成された電極シートWに対して,本実施形態にかかる電極製造装置100を用いてリチウムイオンをドーピングすることによって,リチウムイオン二次電池用の負極のロール状電極シートを製造する電極製造処理について図面を参照しながら説明する。制御部300は,所定のプログラムに基づいて電極製造装置100の各部を制御することによって,ドーピング処理を実行するようになっている。図4は本実施形態にかかる電極製造処理の具体例を示すフローチャートである。

Claims (6)
- 電極シート上の電極材料にリチウムイオンをドーピングしてリチウムイオンキャパシタ用電極を製造する電極製造装置であって,
前記電極シートを搬出入可能な処理室と,
前記処理室内に希ガスを導入するための希ガス供給部と,
前記処理室内を排気して所定の真空圧力にする排気装置と,
前記処理室内に搬入される前記電極シート上の炭素材料から成る電極材料に向けて,リチウム含有粉末を粉末噴射口から粉末のまま噴射し,ヒータで加熱した加熱ガスを前記粉末噴出口と前記電極材料との間に供給して前記リチウム含有粉末を溶融させながら吹き付けて,前記電極材料にリチウムの薄膜を成膜することにより,前記電極材料にリチウムイオンをドーピングするリチウム溶射部と,
前記リチウム溶射部に設けられる加振器と,
を備えたことを特徴とする電極製造装置。 - 前記リチウム溶射部は,前記粉末噴出口から前記電極シートの電極材料に向けて前記リチウム含有粉末を噴出するリチウム含有粉末供給部と,前記リチウム含有粉末供給部の前記粉末噴出口から噴出されたリチウム含有粉末を溶解する前記加熱ガスを供給する加熱ガス供給部と,を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極製造装置。
- 前記リチウム含有粉末供給部は前記電極材料に対して垂直に配置され,前記加熱ガス供給部は前記リチウム含有粉末供給部に対して傾斜して,前記リチウム含有粉末供給部の前記粉末噴出口と前記電極材料との間に前記加熱ガスが噴出されるように配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電極製造装置。
- 前記電極シートはロール状であり,
前記処理室の両側に前記電極シートの収容室をそれぞれ設けてこれらを連通させて,前記電極シートを一方の収容室から巻出し,前記処理室内を通って他方の収容室で巻き取るように構成し,
前記リチウム溶射部は,前記電極シートが巻出されて前記処理室内を通る際に,その電極材料上にリチウムの薄膜を成膜することを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の電極製造装置。 - 前記リチウム含有粉末供給部は前記電極シートの幅方向に延出し,前記電極材料に対して垂直に配置された板状部材に,前記リチウム含有粉末を供給するための複数の前記粉末噴出口を前記電極シートの幅方向に並べて形成してなり,
前記リチウム含有粉末供給部の各粉末噴出口についてそれぞれ,1つの粉末噴出口に対して前記電極シートの長手方向の両側に,2つの前記加熱ガス供給部を対称に配置したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電極製造装置。 - 電極シート上の電極材料にリチウムイオンをドーピングしてリチウムイオンキャパシタ用電極を製造する電極製造方法であって,
前記電極シートを搬出入可能な処理室内を希ガス雰囲気にして減圧し,
前記処理室内に搬入される前記電極シート上の炭素材料から成る電極材料に向けて,加振器で振動させながらリチウム含有粉末を粉末噴射口から粉末のまま噴射し,ヒータで加熱した加熱ガスを前記粉末噴出口と前記電極材料との間に供給して前記リチウム含有粉末を溶融させながら吹き付けて,前記電極材料にリチウムの薄膜を成膜することにより,前記電極材料にリチウムイオンをドーピングすることを特徴とする電極製造方法。
