Description
〔第1実施形態〕
このバルブタイミング制御システムは、図1及び図2に示すように、シリンダヘッド01のアッパデッキ上に固定された枠状の軸受部材06によって回転自在に支持された吸気側カムシャフト02及び該吸気側カムシャフト02に平行に配置された排気側カムシャフト03と、該各吸排気側カムシャフト02,03の前端部にそれぞれ設けられた電動式の吸気側バルブタイミング制御装置(以下、吸気側VTCと称す。)04及び同じく電動式の排気側バルブタイミング制御装置(以下、排気側VTCと称す。)05と、を備えている。
また、前記モータ出力軸13(偏心軸部39)の外周面と前記ハウジング5の延出部5cの内周面との間には、減速機構8の内部から電動モータ12内への潤滑油のリークを阻止する小径なオイルシール46が設けられている。
一方、前記電動式の排気側VTC05は、図1、図8〜図10に示すように、基本構成が吸気側VTC04と同一であるから共通の構成箇所は同一の符番を付して具体的な説明を省略する。
〔請求項a〕 請求項1に記載の内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システムにおいて、
前記排気側よりも作動領域大きな吸気側電動式バルブタイミング制御装置の電動モータの最大効率の回転数領域は、前記排気側バルブタイミング制御装置の電動モータより高回転領域であることを特徴とする内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システム。
〔請求項b〕 請求項2に記載の内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システムにおいて、
前記吸気側電動式バルブタイミング制御装置の減速機構の減速比は、前記排気側電動式バルブタイミング制御装置の減速機構の減速比よりも小さいことを特徴とする内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システム。

Claims (1)
- 吸気側カムシャフトと排気側カムシャフトの両方に電動式バルブタイミング制御装置を設けてなる内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システムであって、
前記それぞれの電動式バルブタイミング制御装置は、通電されることによって回転力を出力する電動モータをそれぞれ備え、
該各電動モータは、最大効率のモータ回転数領域が要求に合わせてそれぞれ異ならせていることを特徴とする内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御システム。
