Description
また、樹脂性の先端チップに溝を設けることにより、先端チップに柔軟性を付与したカテーテルが提案されている(例えば、特許文献2)。
特に、外側被覆がスリットの内部に入り込むことによって先端チップにしっかりと固定されるので(アンカー効果)、先端チップの平滑面を確実に維持することが可能となる。
以下では、上述した本発明の内容を明確にするために、本発明のカテーテルの各種実施形態を説明する。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態のカテーテル1の構成を示した説明図である。図示されているように、本実施形態のカテーテル1は、カテーテルシャフト10と、カテーテルシャフト10の基端部に設けられたコネクタ80と、カテーテルシャフトの先端部に設けられた先端チップ50とから構成されている。
尚、本明細書中の「カテーテルシャフト」は本発明の「チューブ体」に対応する。
尚、先端チップ50に用いる金属材料は特に限定されず、ステンレス鋼(SUS304、SUS316等)、金、白金、タングステン、プラチナ、ニッケル、これらの元素からなる合金などを用いることができる。但し、放射線透視画像下でカテーテル1の先端の位置を把握できるように、金属チップ50を放射線不透過性の金属材料で形成することが好ましい。
尚、図2(b)に示されているように、本実施形態のカテーテル1では、先端チップ50に対してスリット52がらせん状に形成されているので、先端チップ50が何れの方向に対しても同等の曲がり易さで曲がることができるようになっている。また、スリット52のピッチが先端に向かって小さくなるように形成されており、先端チップ50の先端領域が特に柔軟となっている。このため、先端チップ50によって血管を穿孔する危険性を低減させることが可能となっている。
図3は、本発明の第2実施形態のカテーテル2の先端付近の拡大図である。図示した第2実施形態のカテーテル2は、上述した第1実施形態のカテーテル1とは以下の点が異なっている。すなわち、先端チップ50の外周面に外側被覆60aが設けられているだけでなく、先端チップ50の内周面に、内側被覆70aが設けられている。そして、先端チップ50のスリット52の内部に入り込んだ外側被覆60aが内側被覆70aまで到達して、外側被覆60aと内側被覆70aとが密着している。
図4は、本発明の第3実施形態のカテーテル3の先端付近の拡大図である。第3実施形態のカテーテル3は、上述した第2実施形態のカテーテル2とは以下の点が異なっている。すなわち、第3実施形態のカテーテル3では、カテーテルシャフト12の外層40bと先端チップ50の外周面を覆う外側被覆60bとが一体に形成されており、且つ、カテーテルシャフト12の内層20bと先端チップ50の内周面を覆う内側被覆70bとが一体に形成されている。
図5は、本発明の第4実施形態のカテーテル4の先端付近の拡大図である。第4実施形態のカテーテル4は、上述した第3実施形態のカテーテル3とは以下の点が異なっている。すなわち、第4実施形態のカテーテル4では、補強体として、金属の素線をらせん状に巻回することによって形成されたコイル体30cが設けられている。そして、コイル体30cの先端部に金属製の先端チップ50が溶接されている。図5には、コイル体30cと先端チップ50との溶接部wが、太い波線で示されている。
図6は、本発明の第5実施形態のカテーテル5の先端付近の拡大図である。第5実施形態のカテーテル5は、上述した第4実施形態のカテーテル4とは以下の点が異なっている。すなわち、第5実施形態のカテーテル5では、コイル体30dの先端に、コイル体30dを構成する素線を互いに溶融させて一体に成形した部分(溶融部32d)が設けられており、溶融部32dに対して、先端チップ50が溶接されている。

Claims (1)
- 内層と、前記内層を覆い複数の金属素線を巻回して形成された補強体と、前記補強体を覆う外層とを有するチューブ体と、
前記チューブ体の先端に設けられ、表面にスリットが形成された金属からなる管状の先端チップと
を備え、
前記先端チップは、前記補強体の先端に設けられた、前記複数の金属素線を溶融して一体的に形成された溶融部に溶接されており、
前記外層は、前記スリットに入り込むように、前記溶融部及び前記先端チップの外周面を覆っていることを特徴とするカテーテル。
