Description
正極3は、例えば、長尺状の正極集電体31の両面に正極活物質層32が設けられた構造である。正極集電体31は、例えば、アルミニウム箔等の金属箔により構成されている。正極活物質層32は、例えば、正極活物質として、リチウムを吸蔵及び放出することが可能な正極材料を1種又は2種以上含んでおり、必要に応じてグラファイト等の導電剤及びポリフッ化ビニリデン等の結着剤を含んで構成されている。
負極4は、例えば、長尺状の負極集電体41の両面に負極活物質層42が設けられた構造である。負極集電体41は、例えば、銅箔等の金属箔により構成されている。負極活物質層42は、負極活物質として、リチウムを吸蔵及び放出することが可能な負極材料が用いられ、これらのいずれか1種又は2種以上を含んで構成されている。負極活物質層42には、必要に応じて結着剤を含んで構成されている。
セパレータ5は、正極3と負極4との間に介在し、正極3と負極4との間を絶縁し、液状の電解質である非水電解液を保持し、多孔質であるため、正極3及び負極4との間のイオン伝導性を確保することができる。セパレータ5は、図2に示すように、例えば、基材層51と、基材層51の両面上にそれぞれ設けられた架橋ポリイミドを含有する耐熱層52と、各耐熱層52上にそれぞれ設けられたフッ素系ポリマーを含有する接着層53とを有する。
以上のようにして作製したセパレータ5を介して、正極3及び負極4を巻回した巻回電極体6と共に、電池蓋7に装填される電解質としては、液状の非水電解液を用いる。非水電解液には、二次電池に一般的に使用される電解質塩と有機溶媒が使用可能である。
先ず、架橋ポリイミドを含有する耐熱層のNMPに対する耐性について評価した。
次に、セパレータの透気度について評価した。透気度の評価は、実施例2、比較例1及び2のセパレータを作製して行った。
次に、二次電池を作製し、安全性について釘刺し試験を行った。釘刺し試験は、実施例3、比較例3乃至5のセパレータを作製して行った。
Claims (8)
- ポリオレフィン系樹脂材料からなる基材層と、
上記基材層上に形成され、架橋性ポリイミドを架橋した架橋ポリイミドを含有する耐熱層と、
上記耐熱層上に形成され、フッ素系ポリマーを含有する接着層とを有することを特徴とする電池用セパレータシート。 - 上記耐熱層を形成する架橋ポリイミドは、イミド環を構成する酸無水物由来のベンゾフェノン骨格と、イミド環を構成するジアミン由来のフェニル骨格とを有し、上記フェニル骨格においてイミド環のN(窒素)と結合する炭素位置からみてオルト位置の夫々に、炭素数1〜20のアルキル基を有する化学構造を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池用セパレータシート。
- 上記酸無水物は、3,4,3’,4’,−ベンゾフェノン−テトラカルボン酸二無水物であり、上記ジアミンは、3,3’−ジメチル−5,5’−ジエチル−4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルメタンである請求項2に記載の電池用セパレータシート。
- ポリオレフィン系樹脂材料からなる基材層上に、架橋性ポリイミドを塗布してポリイミド層を形成する工程と、
上記ポリイミド層中の上記架橋性ポリイミドを架橋して、上記ポリイミド層を架橋ポリイミドからなる耐熱層に変換する工程と、
上記耐熱層上にフッ素系ポリマーからなる接着層を形成する工程とを有することを特徴とする電池用セパレータシートの製造方法。 - 上記耐熱層を形成する架橋ポリイミドは、イミド環を構成する酸無水物由来のベンゾフェノン骨格と、イミド環を構成するジアミン由来のフェニル骨格とを有し、上記フェニル骨格においてイミド環のN(窒素)と結合する炭素位置からみてオルト位置の夫々に、炭素数1〜20のアルキル基を有する化学構造を含有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電池用セパレータシートの製造方法。
- 上記酸無水物は、3,4,3’,4’,−ベンゾフェノン−テトラカルボン酸二無水物であり、ジアミンは、3,3’−ジメチル−5,5’−ジエチル−4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルメタンである請求項5に記載の電池用セパレータシートの製造方法。
- 上記耐熱層に変換する工程では、上記架橋性ポリイミドを紫外線により架橋することを特徴とする請求項4乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の電池用セパレータシートの製造方法。
- 正極と負極とがセパレータを介して対向配置され、電解質を含み、
上記セパレータは、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の電池用セパレータシートである電池。
