Description
このコネクタ100は、電線110の端末に接続される端子金具120と、電線110と端子金具120との接続部分130にモールド成形されて接続部分130を覆うモールドハウジング140と、このモールドハウジング140を収容保持するオーバーモールドハウジング150と、を備えている。オーバーモールドハウジング150の中間部分外周には、シールリング180が嵌合されている。
ところが、この構成では、複数のモールドハウジング140相互を結合しているキャリア部の板厚が厚くなるために、成形した際にキャリア部に生じるヒケや反りの影響で、隣接するモールドハウジング140間の配列ピッチにバラツキが生じ易い。更に、キャリア部の板厚が厚く剛性が高いために、隣接するモールドハウジング140間の配列ピッチにバラツキが生じた場合に、バラツキの矯正が難しく、オーバーモールドハウジング150の成型金型への組付け性が低下したり、モールドハウジング140の成形時の歩留まりの低下を招くおそれがあった。
(1)それぞれが、複数の電線のうち対応する1本の電線の端末に接続される、互いに独立した複数の端子金具と、
それぞれが、対応する1組の前記電線及び前記端子金具における接続部分を覆う複数のモールドハウジングと、
前記複数のモールドハウジングを収容保持するオーバーモールドハウジングと、を備え、
複数の前記モールドハウジングは、隣接するモールドハウジング相互を連結するキャリア部により一体化された構造を有し、
前記キャリア部は、隣接するモールドハウジング間の配列ピッチを調整する可撓性を備えるように、断面寸法を前記モールドハウジングよりも小さく設定したことを特徴とするコネクタ。

Claims (2)
- それぞれが、複数の電線のうち対応する1本の電線の端末に接続される、互いに独立した複数の端子金具と、
それぞれが、対応する1組の前記電線及び前記端子金具における接続部分を覆う複数のモールドハウジングと、
前記複数のモールドハウジングを収容保持するオーバーモールドハウジングと、を備え、
複数の前記モールドハウジングは、隣接するモールドハウジング相互を連結するキャリア部により一体化された構造を有し、
前記キャリア部は、隣接するモールドハウジング間の配列ピッチを調整する可撓性を備えるように、断面寸法を前記モールドハウジングよりも小さく設定したことを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記キャリア部は、前記モールドハウジング相互が並ぶ方向と直交する方向の寸法が、前記モールドハウジングの同方向の寸法に対して少なくとも1/2以下となる小さな寸法に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
