Claims (10)

  1. システムクロームを含まないディスプレイ装置上で複数のアプリケーションの同時表示を容易にするための没入型環境モジュールであって、少なくとも第１の前記アプリケーションが前記ディスプレイの主要領域に表示される、没入型環境モジュールと、
    前記ディスプレイ装置上で少なくとも１つの他のアプリケーションと同時表示するためにアプリケーションのユーザー選択を可能にするように構成されたＵＩ管理コンポーネントと、
    前記ディスプレイ装置の前記主要領域上の前記第１のアプリケーションのコンテンツの表示と同時に前記ディスプレイ装置の非主要領域上に表示される際に、ユーザー選択されたアプリケーションのコンテンツの少なくとも一方向のサイズを決定するように構成された処理ロジックであって、前記決定は、前記選択されたアプリケーションにより指定された１つまたは複数の所定のサイズ要件に少なくとも部分的に基づいている、処理ロジックと
    を含む、コンピューティング装置。
  2. 前記処理ロジックは、前記非主要領域内に表示されるか、または表示されることになる任意の追加のアプリケーションにより指定される、前記少なくとも一方向の所定のサイズ要件に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記少なくとも一方向の前記選択されたアプリケーションのサイズを決定するようにさらに構成される、請求項１に記載のコンピューティング装置。
  3. 前記所定のサイズ要件は、前記少なくとも一方向の最小および最大のサイズを含む、請求項２に記載のコンピューティング装置。
  4. 前記所定のサイズ要件は、前記選択されたアプリケーションの前記コンテンツが、その最小サイズで表示すべきか、それとも前記非主要領域内の任意の占有されていない空間を最小サイズまで低減させるか、もしくはその最大サイズまで増加させて充填するサイズで表示すべきかどうかを指定する、請求項３に記載のコンピューティング装置。
  5. 前記所定のサイズ要件は、前記少なくとも一方向の固定サイズである、請求項２に記載のコンピューティング装置。
  6. 前記処理ロジックは、前記追加のアプリケーションおよび前記選択されたアプリケーションの前記所定のサイズ要件を満たすように、前記非主要領域に表示される前記追加のアプリケーションの少なくとも１つのコンテンツをサイズ変更するようにさらに構成される、請求項５に記載のコンピューティング装置。
  7. ディスプレイ装置上に複数のアプリケーションのコンテンツを同時に表示するための方法であって、
    第１の前記アプリケーションのコンテンツが、ディスプレイの主要領域に表示されるべきであることを指定するユーザー入力を受領するステップと、
    第２の前記アプリケーションのコンテンツを、ディスプレイの前記主要領域内で前記第１のアプリケーションの前記コンテンツと置換すべきことを指定するユーザー入力を受領するステップと、
    前記第１のアプリケーションの前記コンテンツを前記ディスプレイの非主要領域に移動させるステップと、
    前記第１のアプリケーションにより指定された命令に応じて、前記ディスプレイの前記非主要領域内の前記第１のアプリケーションのコンテンツのサイズを調整するステップと、
    前記第２のアプリケーションの前記コンテンツを前記ディスプレイの前記主要領域内に表示するステップと
    を含む、方法。
  8. 前記命令は、前記第１のアプリケーションにより公開される１組のＡＰＩを通して指定される、請求項７に記載の方法。
  9. 前記命令は、前記選択されたアプリケーションにより指定された所定のサイズ要件を含む、請求項７に記載の方法。
  10. 前記第１のアプリケーションの前記コンテンツを前記ディスプレイの前記非主要領域に移動させるステップは、前記命令で指定された少なくとも最小サイズで前記選択されたアプリケーションを表示するのに使用可能な十分大きいサイズを前記非主要領域が有することを確実にすることにより、前記第１のアプリケーションの前記コンテンツを前記ディスプレイの前記非主要領域に移動させるステップを含む、請求項７に記載の方法。
