Description
この例は、本発明による添加剤組成物およびポリマー組成物の調製およびそれらによって示される物理的特性を実証する。25種のポリプロピレンポリマー組成物を、約500ppmのIrganox(登録商標)1010および約1,000ppmのIrgafos(登録商標)168で安定化されている市販の反応生成フレーク(reactor flake)中インパクトコポリマーのポリプロピレン樹脂(LyondellBasell Pro−fax SD375Sポリプロピレン樹脂)を用いて調製した。以下の表1に示した量のオキシ硫酸マグネシウム粒子(Milliken & Company製Hyperform(登録商標)HPR−803強化剤)および/または水酸化マグネシウム粒子(Huber製Vertex(登録商標)60HST)をそのポリプロピレン樹脂とブレンドすることによって、ポリマー組成物を調製した。
この例は、本発明による添加剤組成物およびポリマー組成物の調製ならびにそれらによって示される物理的特性を実証する。13種のポリエチレンポリマー組成物を、市販の0.952g/cm3の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレン樹脂(ExxonMobil6719)を用いて調製した。以下の表2に示す量のオキシ硫酸マグネシウム粒子(Milliken & Company製Hyperform(登録商標)HPR−803強化剤)および/または水酸化アルミニウム粒子(Albemarle製Martinal OL−104 LEO)をそのポリエチレン樹脂とブレンドすることによって調製した。
以下に、当初の特許請求の範囲に記載していた発明を付記する。

(a)複数の第1の粒子であって、オキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む第1の粒子と
(b)金属水酸化物化合物と
を含む添加剤組成物であって、
前記添加剤組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子の重量が、前記添加剤組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた全重量の約15%以上であり、前記添加剤組成物が、前記添加剤組成物の全重量に基づいて1重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、添加剤組成物。

前記粒子が、5Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・3H 2 O;5Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・2H 2 O;3Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・8H 2 O;Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・5H 2 O;Mg(OH) 2 ・2MgSO 4 ・3H 2 O;およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるオキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む、[1]に記載の添加剤組成物。

前記粒子の少なくとも一部がホイスカーの形態であり、前記ホイスカーが約7以上の平均アスペクト比を有する、[1]または[2]に記載の添加剤組成物。

前記金属水酸化物化合物が、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化アルミニウム、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、[1]〜[3]のいずれか一に記載の添加剤組成物。

前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化マグネシウムである、[4]に記載の添加剤組成物。
[6]
前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化アルミニウムである、[4]に記載の添加剤組成物。
[7]
前記添加剤組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子の重量が、前記添加剤組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた全重量の約20%以上である、[1]〜[6]のいずれか一に記載の添加剤組成物。
[8]
前記添加剤組成物が、前記添加剤組成物の全重量に基づいて、0.3重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、[1]〜[7]のいずれか一に記載の添加剤組成物。
[9]
(a)ポリマーと、
(b)複数の第1の粒子であって、オキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む粒子と、
(c)金属水酸化物化合物と
を含むポリマー組成物であって、
前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子の重量が、前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた全重量の約15%以上であり、前記ポリマー組成物が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量に基づいて1重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、ポリマー組成物。

前記ポリマーが熱可塑性ポリマーである、[9]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記熱可塑性ポリマーがポリオレフィンである、[10]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記ポリオレフィンが、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、[11]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記ポリマーが、ポリプロピレンホモポリマー、ポリプロピレンコポリマー、ポリプロピレンインパクトコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、[9]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記粒子が、5Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・3H 2 O;5Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・2H 2 O;3Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・8H 2 O;Mg(OH) 2 ・MgSO 4 ・5H 2 O;Mg(OH) 2 ・2MgSO 4 ・3H 2 O;およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるオキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む、[9]〜[13]のいずれか一に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化マグネシウムである、[16]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化アルミニウムである、[16]に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子の重量が、前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた全重量の約20%以上である、[9]〜[18]のいずれか一に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記ポリマー組成物が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量に基づいて、0.3重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、[9]〜[19]のいずれか一に記載のポリマー組成物。
[21]
前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた重量が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量の約25%から約75%である、[9]〜[20]のいずれか一に記載のポリマー組成物。

前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた重量が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量の約30%から約70%である、[21]に記載のポリマー組成物。
Claims (11)
- (a)ポリマーと、
(b)複数の第1の粒子であって、オキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む粒子と、
(c)金属水酸化物化合物と
を含むポリマー組成物であって、
前記ポリマーはポリオレフィンであり、
前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた重量が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量の35%以上であり、前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子の重量が、前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた全重量の60%以上であり、前記ポリマー組成物が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量に基づいて0重量%以上且つ1重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、ポリマー組成物。 - 前記ポリオレフィンが、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマーが、ポリプロピレンホモポリマー、ポリプロピレンコポリマー、ポリプロピレンインパクトコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記粒子が、5Mg(OH)2・MgSO4・3H2O;5Mg(OH)2・MgSO4・2H2O;3Mg(OH)2・MgSO4・8H2O;Mg(OH)2・MgSO4・5H2O;Mg(OH)2・2MgSO4・3H2O;およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるオキシ硫酸マグネシウム化合物を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記粒子の少なくとも一部がホイスカーの形態であり、前記ホイスカーが7以上の平均アスペクト比を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記金属水酸化物化合物が、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化アルミニウム、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化マグネシウムである、請求項6に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記金属水酸化物化合物が水酸化アルミニウムである、請求項6に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマー組成物が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量に基づいて、0重量%以上且つ0.3重量%未満の赤リンを含有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた重量が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量の35%から75%である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマー組成物中に存在する前記第1の粒子および前記金属水酸化物化合物の合わせた重量が、前記ポリマー組成物の全重量の35%から70%である、請求項10に記載のポリマー組成物。
