Description
本実施形態の電極材料は、正極活物質又は負極活物質を含有する粒子と、その粒子に結合し、‐Si‐tBu基を含有する保護基と、を備える。この保護基によって、電極材料が電池に用いられたときに、電池の放電容量の低下が抑制される。
なお、保護基は、‐Si‐tBu基と粒子由来の基との間に、酸素、置換されていてもよい炭化水素等、他の原子(原子群)を有していてもよい。
上記電極材料を備える電池の一例として、図1に、リチウムイオン二次電池の要部構成を示す。
上記1.欄に記載の電極材料は、反応性官能基を有する正極活物質又は負極活物質に、R‐Si‐tBuで表される化合物(Rは上記正極活物質又は負極活物質の反応性官能基と反応可能な基である)を反応させる工程を含む方法によって、製造可能である。反応性官能基とは、例えば活性水素基である。

Claims (3)
- 正極活物質又は負極活物質を含有する粒子と、
前記粒子に結合し、‐Si‐tBu基を含有する保護基と、
を備える電極材料。 - 正極と、負極と、電解液と、を備える電池であって、
前記正極及び負極の少なくとも一方が請求項1に記載の電極材料を備える、
電池。 - 反応性官能基を有する正極活物質又は負極活物質に、R‐Si‐tBuで表される化合物(Rは前記反応性官能基と反応可能な基である)を反応させる工程を含む、
電極材料の製造方法。
