Description
Rは炭化水素基を表し、
Zはオキシエチレン基を表し、
Bは1〜5個の炭素原子を含むアルキル鎖を表し、
Yは0又は1を表し、
Xは0よりも大きな数を表す。
PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド(Promidium(商標)CC、Croda)491.4gを、触媒としての30%ナトリウムメトキシド溶液4.9gとともに反応器に充填し、脱水してメタノールを除去した。次いで、この混合物491.4gをエチレンオキシド233gと160℃で反応させ、PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド単位あたり公称3モルのEOを与えた。得られたエトキシ化生成物529.3gをさらにエチレンオキシド170gと160℃で反応させ、PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド単位あたり合計6モルのEOを与えた。最後に、次いで、得られたエトキシ化生成物496.4gをエチレンオキシド81gと反応させ、PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド単位あたり8モルのEOを与えた。
PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド(Promidium(商標)CO、Croda)454.9gを、触媒としての30%ナトリウムメトキシド溶液3.03gとともに反応器に充填し、脱水して水分含量を0.01wt%にした。
PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド(Promidium(商標)IS、Croda)496.8gを、触媒としての30%ナトリウムメトキシド溶液3.3gとともに反応器に充填し、脱水してメタノールを除去した。次いで、この混合物496.8gをエチレンオキシド226gと160℃で反応させ、PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド単位あたり3モルのEOを与えた。得られたエトキシ化生成物562.9gをさらにエチレンオキシド176gと160℃で反応させ、PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド単位あたり合計6モルのEOを与えた。最後に、次いで、得られたエトキシ化生成物542.2gをエチレンオキシド86gと反応させ、PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド単位あたり8モルのEOを与えた。
PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミドとPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミドを、上記のとおり3、6及び8モルのエチレンオキシドでエトキシ化した。得られたエトキシ化化合物の物理的性質を試験し、PPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド及びPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミドに関連する物理的性質と比較した。同様に、エトキシ化化合物の物理的性質を、増泡剤として従来用いられているPEG 5コカミドと比較した。特に、化合物の発泡特性及び知覚特性を比較した。試験は、SLS/SLES/ベタインベース中に得られたエトキシ化化合物を含む溶液について行い、この溶液は、3.0%の得られたエトキシ化化合物、又は3.0%のPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、PPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド若しくはPEG 5コカミド化合物を含む。比較の結果を以下にまとめる。
Claims (9)
- Zが3、6又は8モルのオキシエチレンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 式1の化合物が、3エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、8エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、3エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、8エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、3エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド、又は8エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミドである、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 式1の化合物が20〜25℃の温度で前記組成物に添加される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物によって作り出される泡の量及び密度が少なくとも20%増加し、及び/又は前記組成物によって作り出される泡の持続性が少なくとも20%向上する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が1つ又は複数の賦形剤を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、シャンプー、毛髪着色剤、ヘアコンディショナー、入浴製品、ボディソープ、洗顔料、スキントリートメントクリーム又はスキントリートローションの形態である、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 3エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、8エチレングリコールPPG−1ヒドロキシエチルカプリルアミド、3エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、8エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルコカミド、3エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド、6エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミド、又は8エチレングリコールPPG−2ヒドロキシエチルイソステアラミドである、請求項8に記載の化合物。
