Description
例えば特許出願:EP816 065、EP1 142 619、EP1 455 923、あるいはWO2004/090294に記載した技術の方法によって、炭化ケイ素で作られたモノリシックハニカム形状素子の第1の集合が合成された。
−純度が98%より高く、粒子の70質量%が10マイクロメートルよりも大きい直径の粒子径を有し、この粒径画分の中位径が300マイクロメートルよりも小さい炭化ケイ素粒子の3000gの混合物。本説明の意味内では、中位径とは、それより下で集合物の50質量%がみられる以下の粒子の直径である。
−セルロースから得られるタイプの有機バインダ150g。
既に記載した合成技術は同様に繰り返されるが、モノリシックブロックを製造するためにこのときダイが構成され、そのモノリシックブロックは図3に示した実施態様にしたがって、内部経路の波状の配列、内面がほぼ平坦である外壁、及び一定で連続的なコーナーの増加厚みを特徴とする。この例は、αが0及びR1=R2である実施態様を説明することが可能である。

Claims (11)
- 多孔質壁(4)で分離された互いに平行な軸を伴う隣接したダクトまたは経路(8、9)の一式を含むモノリシックハニカム素子(1)であって、前記ダクトはそれらの端のどちらか一方で栓で止められてガス吸入面上に開いた吸気ダクト(2)とガス放出面上に開いた排気ダクト(3)を区切り前記ガスは多孔質壁(4)を通過するようになり、
前記素子(1)は、断面において、内部経路及び周辺経路を有し、前記内部経路の前記壁(4)が、前記排気経路(3)の全体体積を減少させて前記吸気経路(2)の全体体積を増加させることを可能とする周期的なうねりを有し、前記素子(1)の外壁(7)の一部を形成する周辺経路(8)が、内面(7’)が素子(1)の全長にわたって平坦である外壁(7)を形成するように構成されていることを特徴とし、並びに
前記平坦な壁はコーナー(11)で増加厚み(10、10’)も有し、断面において素子(1)のコーナー(11)の角を二等分する線に沿って測定される壁の厚みEcは前記壁の最小厚みEminより厚く、その比率Rは1.5よりも大きい、ということを特徴とするモノリシックハニカム素子(1)。 - 前記外壁(7)の厚みEminが、前記素子(1)の側面の中央で測定される、請求項1に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記増加厚み(10)が、前記素子のそれぞれのコーナー(11)から前記外壁の一部分上に伸び、前記増加厚みが前記部分上で連続的で一定である、請求項1または請求項2に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記増加厚み(10’)が、前記素子のそれぞれのコーナー(11)から前記外壁の一部分上に伸び、前記増加厚みが前記部分上で連続的で減少する、請求項1または請求項2に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記増加厚み(10、10’)が、前記素子のそれぞれのコーナー(11)から、前記外壁の前記内面の全表面領域の少なくとも8分の1と等しい全表面領域上に伸びる、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記素子のコーナー(11)の角を二等分する線に沿って測定される外壁(7)の厚みEcは、前記経路の内壁(4)の平均厚みeより厚く、その比率は2.7よりも大きい、請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記素子のコーナー(11)の角を二等分する線に沿って測定される前記外壁の厚みEcは、150マイクロメートル〜5000マイクロメートルである、請求項1〜請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記素子の側面の中央での前記壁の厚みEminは、100マイクロメートル〜3500マイクロメートルである、請求項1〜請求項7のいずれか1項に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 前記経路の前記内壁の平均厚みeは、100マイクロメートル〜400マイクロメートルである、請求項1〜請求項8のいずれか1項に記載のモノリシック素子。
- 請求項1〜請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の複数のモノリシック素子を組み立てることで得られるフィルタであって、前記素子が結合セメントで一緒につながっているフィルタ。
- 前記素子と前記結合セメントが同一のセラミック材料をベースとする、請求項10に記載のフィルタ。
