Description
本出願は、「ナノチューブ支援自浄性材料(Nanotube Assisted Self-cleaning Material)」と題された、2009年5月14日出願の、同時係属中の米国特許出願第12/465,717号(代理人整理番号第COW−012−1号)に関する。
本開示は、自浄性材料に関し、より詳細には、ブレーズド回折格子を有する自浄性層を用いた材料に関する。

Claims (18)
- 光への曝露に反応する自浄性材料であって、
第1の表面および第2の表面を有する基材と、
前記基材の第1の表面に配置される自浄性層と、
前記自浄性層の露出表面に形成される回折格子とを含み、
前記回折格子が、前記露出表面に入射する光の吸収を高めるように構成されているブレーズ条件を含む自浄性材料。 - 前記回折格子のブレーズ条件が、前記自浄性材料の意図する使用方向に関連する光の入射角に対応している、請求項1に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記意図する使用方向が、ほぼ垂直であり、前記光の入射角が、前記第1の表面にほぼ平行である、請求項2に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記意図する使用方向が、ほぼ水平であり、前記光の入射角が、前記第1の表面に対してほぼ直角である、請求項2に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記回折格子が位相格子である、請求項1に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記自浄性層が、光への曝露に反応して、光触媒性、光誘起疎水性、または光誘起親水性のいずれかを示す、請求項1に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記光が紫外光である、請求項6に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記自浄性層が、二酸化チタンを少なくとも部分的に含む、請求項1に記載の自浄性材料。
- 光への曝露に反応する自浄性材料において、
第1の表面および第2の表面を有する基材と、
前記基材の第1の表面に配置される第1の自浄性層であって、第1のブレーズ条件を有する第1の回折格子が、当該第1の自浄性層の第1の露出表面に形成され、かつ前記第1のブレーズ条件の少なくとも一部に基づいて光の吸収を高めるように構成されている第1の自浄性層と、
前記基材の第2の表面に配置される第2の自浄性層であって、第2のブレーズ条件を有する第2の回折格子が、当該第2の自浄性層の第2の露出表面に形成され、かつ前記第2のブレーズ条件の少なくとも一部に基づいて光の吸収を高めるように構成されている第2の自浄性層と
を含む自浄性材料。 - 前記第1の自浄性層および第2の自浄性層が異なる材料である、請求項9に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記第1の自浄性層による光の吸収が、前記第1の自浄性層および第2の自浄性層に、光触媒性、光誘起疎水性、または光誘起親水性のいずれかを引き起こす、請求項9に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記第2の自浄性層が、前記第1の自浄性層と異なる自浄特性を示す、請求項11に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記第1のブレーズ条件および第2のブレーズ条件が、それぞれ前記第1の自浄性層および第2の自浄性層の前記第1の露出表面および第2の露出表面の意図する使用方向に関連する光の入射角に対応している、請求項9に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記第1のブレーズ条件が、無制御環境で用いられている前記第1の自浄性層に基づいて選択され、前記第2のブレーズ条件が、制御される環境で用いられている前記第2の自浄性層に基づいて選択されている、請求項9に記載の自浄性材料。
- その第1の表面に形成されるブレーズド回折格子を含む自浄性材料であって、
当該自浄性材料による、前記第1の表面に入射する光の吸収が、前記回折格子および前記第1の表面との光の入射角に対応するブレーズ条件に基づいて、前記第1の表面における光誘起自浄状態を引き起こすように構成されている自浄性材料。 - 前記ブレーズド回折格子のブレーズ条件が、前記自浄性材料の意図する使用方向に関連する光の入射角に対応する、請求項15に記載の自浄性材料。
- 前記自浄性層が、光への曝露に反応して、光触媒性、光誘起疎水性、または光誘起親水性のいずれかを示す、請求項15に記載の自浄性材料。
- 第2の表面に形成される第2のブレーズド回折格子をさらに含む自浄性材料であって、前記自浄性材料による、前記第2の表面に入射する光の吸収が、前記第2の回折格子および前記第2の表面との光の入射角に対応する第2のブレーズ条件に基づいて、前記第2の表面における光誘起自浄状態を引き起こすように構成される、請求項15に記載の自浄性材料。
