Claims (6)
- 基板上に形成された導波路型の光機能回路を有する平面型光波回路であって、
前記光機能回路からの出射光が出射される光導波路の出射端面または前記光機能回路への入射光が入射される光導波路の入射端面が形成された一辺に接して、光導波路のみが形成されている導波路領域を含み、
前記導波路領域が形成された部分の前記基板の底面であって、前記一辺に接した底面においてのみ、前記平面型光波回路を保持する固定用マウントに固定されることにより、前記基板の片端のみで固定されていることを特徴とする平面型光波回路。 - 前記出射端面が形成された一辺と、前記固定用マウントの前記平面型光波回路を固定する部分の一辺とが一致するように、または、前記固定用マウントに前記平面型光波回路を固定するための接着剤の層厚の1000倍未満の長さだけ、前記出射端面が形成された一辺が前記固定用マウントの前記平面型光波回路を固定する部分の一辺よりも外側に出るように固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平面型光波回路。
- 前記平面型光波回路と前記固定用マウントとは、中間固定用マウントを介して固定されており、前記中間固定用マウントの熱膨張係数は、前記基板の熱膨張係数と同じか、または前記固定用マウントの熱膨張係数よりも前記基板の熱膨張係数に近い値であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の平面型光波回路。
- 前記平面型光波回路と前記固定用マウントとは、中間固定用マウントを介して固定されており、前記中間固定用マウントは、前記基板の材料と同じ材料で作製されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の平面型光波回路。
- 前記出射端面が形成された一辺と、前記中間固定用マウントの前記平面型光波回路を固定する部分の一辺とが一致するように、または、前記中間固定用マウントに前記平面型光波回路を固定するための接着剤の層厚の1000倍未満の長さだけ、前記出射端面が形成された一辺が前記中間固定用マウントの前記平面型光波回路を固定する部分の一辺よりも外側に出るように固定されていることを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の平面型光波回路。
- 前記導波路領域が形成された部分以外の前記基板の底面において、環境温度変化による前記平面型光波回路のそり変化に追従して形状が変化する熱伝導性ペーストを介して、前記固定用マウントと熱的に結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の平面型光波回路。
