Claims (4)
- 基板上に形成された導波路型の光機能回路を有する平面型光波回路であって、前記光機能回路からの出射光が出射される光導波路の出射端面または前記光機能回路への入射光が入射される光導波路の入射端面が形成された一辺に接して、光導波路のみが形成されている導波路領域を含む平面型光波回路と、
前記導波路領域が形成された部分においてのみ、前記平面型光波回路を保持する固定用マウントと、
前記出射端面または入射端面が形成された一辺と対向する辺に接して、前記平面型光波回路を保持する補助マウントとを備え、
前記平面型光波回路と前記補助マウントとは、前記平面型光波回路の前記基板の面と前記補助マウントとの間、前記平面型光波回路の前記光機能回路の面と前記補助マウントとの間の2箇所において、弾性接着剤または弾性構造体により固定され、前記弾性接着剤または前記弾性構造体は、前記平面型光波回路と前記固定用マウントとを固定する接着剤または接合材の弾性率より小さい弾性率を有し、前記平面型光波回路の前記基板の面を固定する面積と、前記平面型光波回路の前記光機能回路の面を固定する面積とが異なり、温度変化により前記平面型光波回路の反りが発生して2箇所の弾性接着剤または弾性構造体が変位した後のそれぞれの厚さと、弾性接着剤または弾性構造体自体が発生する力が等しくなったときの前記2箇所の弾性接着剤または弾性構造体のそれぞれの厚さとが一致するように、2箇所の面積が決定されていることを特徴とする光モジュール。 - 前記平面型光波回路と前記補助マウントとの間に挿入された中間補助マウントをさらに備え、
前記平面型光波回路と前記中間補助マウントとが弾性接着剤または弾性構造体により固定され、前記中間補助マウントと前記補助マウントとが接着剤または接合材により固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光モジュール。 - 複数の補助マウントを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光モジュール。
- 前記弾性接着剤または前記弾性構造体の厚さは100μm〜1mmであることを特徴とする請求項1、2または3に記載の光モジュール。
