さらに、高濃度で添加できたとしても、ある条件下では、ブリードしやすくなる場合も多くなる。ブリードが発生すると、熱転写性シートのブロッキング、被転写媒体への転写不良、さらには透明性低下が起き易くなると共に、耐退色性にも影響を与えるようになる。また、紫外線吸収剤が保護層中で共重合されたとしても、それが最表層にくると、紫外線吸収剤を含まない樹脂単体の構成材料で保護層が形成されている場合よりも表面硬度が低下することがある。紫外線吸収剤を含む層が最表面に位置しないように中間層中に紫外線吸収剤を含むようにしても、箔切れ等に影響する場合が多い。
ビア印刷法等の従来公知の薄膜形成方法を用いることが可能である。厚さは、塗液の種類や加工機や加工条件によって最適条件が異なり、特に限定されるものではない。具体的には、乾燥後の厚さが0.1〜3μm程度であればよい。厚さが0.1μm未満の場合は、均一な塗膜が形成され難くなり、十分な耐熱性が得られない場合がある。
チルセルロース、セルロースアセテートプロピオネート等のセルロース誘導体、ロジン、ロジン変性マレイン酸樹脂、ポリイソブチレンゴム、ブチルゴム、スチレン−ブタジエンゴム、ブタジエン−アクリロニトリルゴム、ポリ塩素化オレフィン等の天然樹脂や合成ゴムの誘導体、カルナバワックス、パラフィンワックス等のワックス類を挙げることができる。中でも、ポリエステル、エポキシ樹脂は好適に用いられる。

レートフィルム(三菱化学ポリエステルフィルム製)を用意した。次に、ポリエステルポリオール樹脂100重量部、イソシアネート硬化剤10重量部(三井化学ポリウレタン製)、滑剤1重量部(第一工業製薬製)のそれぞれを、メチルエチルケトン36重量部とトルエンを36重量部からなる混合溶剤に溶解させ耐熱滑性層用の塗液を調製した。そして、調製した塗液の薄膜を前記基材シートの非易接着処理の面上にグラビアコート法により乾燥膜厚で1.0μmとなるように形成し、耐熱滑性層を得た。
離型層用の塗液として、酢酸セルロース樹脂(ダイセル化学製)5重量部のみをメチルエチルケトン90重量部とシクロヘキサノン5重量部の混合液に溶解させて調製したものを用いた以外は、実施例と同様にして、比較例1の熱転写性シートを作製した。
剥離層用の塗液として、酢酸セルロース(ダイセル化学製)30重量部に対して、ポリエステル樹脂(東洋紡製)を70重量部混合して調製したものを用いた以外は、比較例1
と同様にして、比較例2の熱転写性シートを作製した。
以上のようにして作製した実施例1、および比較例1、2の熱転写性シート、および熱転写プリンターを用いて黒ベタを印画した。そして、これらについて下記の条件で評価した。
実施例1、および比較例2、3に係る熱転写性シートに対して、室温(23℃、50%)中で、オーバーコート層部分(基材シート+離型層+剥離層+接着層)をカッターで10cm角に切り、その端面における層の脱落(剥離)の有無を判定し、評価を行った。
○:全く剥離せず。

(2)熱印画時の転写剥離性
実施例1、および比較例2、3に係る熱転写性シートを用い、室温(23℃、50%)に十分おかれたプリンターで、Y(イエロー)、M(マゼンタ)、C(シアン)、オーバーコート(OC)層(3層:離型層、剥離層、接着層)により順全画面印画し、黒ベタを印画した。そして、その際のOC層の熱転写剥離状態を観察し、評価判定した。
○ :印画時に容易に全面設定界面(離型層=剥離層間)で転写した。
実施例1、および比較例2、3に係る熱転写性シートを用い、室温(23℃、50%)に十分におかれたプリンターで、Y(イエロー)、M(マゼンタ)、C(シアン)、オーバーコート(OC)層(3層:離型層、剥離層、接着層)で順全画面印画し、黒ベタを印画した。そして、その際の光沢値(60°反射)を10点測定し、その最低値を代表値とし、評価判定した。

×:光沢値80°未満
評価結果を表1に示す。

Claims (3)
- 基材シートの一方の面に、少なくとも熱転写性インク層と感熱転写層とが基材シートの長手方向に順次設けられている熱転写性シートであって、感熱転写層は少なくとも離型層と熱転写性保護層とを具備する複層構成で、離型層を介して基材シート上に設けられており、感熱転写時には離型層を基材シート側に残したまま離型層と熱転写性保護層中の剥離層との界面で剥離し、熱転写性保護層が被転写媒体側に転写されるようになっていると共に、離型層の構成材料は少なくとも2種以上の樹脂を含み、そのうちの1種が基材シートの構成材料中のメインバインダーと同系の樹脂であり、且つ離型層の構成材料の内、基材シートのメインバインダーと同系の樹脂が重量部で離型層全体の5割を超えず、且つ離型層の構成材料の内、剥離層のメインバインダーと同系の樹脂が重量部で離型層全体の5割を超えないことを特徴とする熱転写性シート。
- 前記離型層の構成材料中に含まれる樹脂が少なくともセルロース系とポリエステル系の
樹脂であり、前記基材シートがポリエステル系の樹脂からなることを特徴とする請求項1
に記載の熱転写性シート。 - 前記熱転写性保護層は複層構成で、剥離層を介して離型層上に設けられていると共に、
離型層の構成材料中に含まれる樹脂のうち、少なくとも1種はセルロース系の樹脂である
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の熱転写性シート。
