Description
Claims (10)
- 液晶パネルと、該液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトと、
上記バックライトに設けられた発光素子と、
上記発光素子からの光が入射する導光板とを有し、
上記発光素子は光が出光する出光面と該出光面に交差する側面を有し、
上記導光板は、
上記発光素子の出光面に対面し、発光素子からの光が入射する入光面と、
上記入光面と交差し光が出射する主面と、
上記入光面側から主面に向かうS字状の傾斜部を有し、
上記入光面に沿って複数の発光素子が並んで配置され、
上記入光面の上記発光素子が並ぶ方向と交差する方向を厚さ方向とし、
上記発光素子の出光面は出光部を有し、該出光部の上下に設けられた光が出射しない部分に挟まれることで、上記出光部の厚さは上記発光素子の側面よりも薄く、上記発光素子の側面の厚さは上記導光板の主面の厚さより厚く、上記発光素子の出光部の厚さは、上記導光板の主面の厚さより薄いことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記導光板の入光面に、発光素子の光を拡散させて導光板に入射させるレンズを設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記導光板の主面に交差する側面に固定用突起を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 液晶パネルと、該液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトと、
上記バックライトに設けられた導光板と、
上記導光板の側面に沿って配置された複数の発光ダイオードとを有し、
上記発光ダイオードから光が入射する入射面に柱状レンズを設け、
該柱状レンズの長さよりも薄い厚さを有する導光板の出光面と、
上記入射面と上記出光面との間にS字状の傾斜部を有し、
上記入光面に沿って複数の発光素子が並んで配置され、
上記入光面の上記発光素子が並ぶ方向と交差する方向を厚さ方向とし、
上記発光ダイオードの出光面は出光部を有し、該出光部の上下に設けられた光が出射しない部分に挟まれることで、上記出光部の厚さは上記発光ダイオードの側面よりも薄く、上記発光ダイオードの側面の厚さは上記導光板の出光面の厚さより厚く、上記発光ダイオードの出光部の厚さは、上記導光板の出光面の厚さより薄いことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記入射面に設けられた柱状レンズは、上記発光ダイオードと対面するよう形成されたことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記導光板の入射面とは異なる側面に固定用突起を設けたことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記導光板の入射面とは異なる側面に固定用突起を設け、固定用突起にテーパ面を設けたことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 液晶パネルと、該液晶パネルに光を照射する面状照明装置とを有する液晶表示装置において、
上記面状照明装置には出光面と該出光面に対向する底面とを有する導光板を設け、
上記導光板には出光面および底面と交差する側面を設け、
上記導光板の第1の側面に沿って複数のLEDを設け、
上記第1の側面の上記LEDが並ぶ方向と交差する方向を厚さ方向とし、
上記第1の側面からLEDの光を入射させて、第1の側面を導光板の入射面とし、
上記導光板に入射した光は導光板底面に設けられた散乱部材によって出光面側に向けられ出光面から出射し、
上記LEDに光が出射しない部分と光が出射する出光部を設けて、上記LEDの厚さを上記出光面と底面との間隔よりも厚くし、
上記入射面と上記出光面との間に第1の傾斜面と、
上記入射面と上記底面との間に第2の傾斜面を設け、
上記第1の傾斜面と第2の傾斜面とは同じ向きに沿って傾斜したS字状の傾斜部であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記入射面に円柱状レンズを設けたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記第1の側面に隣接して第2の側面を設け、第2の側面に固定用突起を設けたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
