Description
特許文献1には、固定式等速ジョイントを用い、さらに、回転方向のバックラッシを除去したステアリング用ジョイントが記載されている。
前記オススプラインは外周に焼入れ硬化層を有し、前記接続用孔のメススプラインが形成されていない部分の内径は、前記オススプラインの外径よりも小さく、
軸方向の端部から途中までメススプラインが形成された焼入れ硬化層をもたない接続用孔を有するシャフトクランプの前記接続用孔に前記オススプラインを圧入して、塑性流動もしくは剪断または両方によってスプラインを転写させ、前記接続用孔に前記オススプラインとすきまなく嵌合したメススプラインを形成させることにより、前記オススプラインに前記シャフトクランプを塑性結合させたことを特徴とするものである。
ジョイントの内部には潤滑グリースが充填してあり、その潤滑グリースの洩れを防止するため、また、外部からの異物の侵入を防止するため、ブーツ56が装着してある。ブーツ56は大径側の取付部を外輪10に形成した凹部15に取り付け、小径側の取付部をシャフト40に形成した凹部48に取り付けてある。
押圧部材50はたとえば略半球状の頭部と円筒形状の胴部とからなり、その胴部を、シャフト40の軸端に開口させて形成した軸孔にスライド可能に挿入してある。そして、押圧部材50は圧縮コイルばねを代表例とする弾性部材(図示せず)によってシャフト40の軸端から飛び出す方向に弾性的に押されている。たとえば、略半球状の頭部の胴部から半径方向に張り出した部分と、シャフト40の軸端との間に、圧縮コイルばねを介在させる。
シャフトクランプ60をジョイントに取り付ける前の状態を示す図2に従って説明すると、シャフトクランプ60は、管状のソケット62と一対のアーム68とからなり、ソケット62は軸方向の一端側に円筒形状の接続用孔64、他端側にスプライン孔66が形成してある。一対のアーム68は前記他端側すなわちスプライン孔66の領域にあって、図2(B)からわかるようにソケット62の半径方向に張り出している。一対のアーム68の一方にはめねじ孔72が、他方には通し孔74が形成してある。一対のアーム68はスリット70を介して向き合っており、このスリット70はスプライン孔66に達している。したがって、通し孔74からボルト(図示せず)を挿入し、めねじ孔72にねじ込んで締め付けることにより、スプライン孔66が縮径する方向に弾性変形する。このスプライン孔66にステアリングシャフトのスプライン軸(図示せず)を嵌合させ、ボルトで締結する。

Claims (4)
- 内周にボール溝をもった外側継手部材と、外周にボール溝をもった内側継手部材と、外側継手部材のボール溝と内側継手部材のボール溝との間に介在させたトルク伝達ボールと、トルク伝達ボールを保持するケージとを具備し、前記外側継手部材および前記内側継手部材にそれぞれ塑性結合用オススプラインを形成し、
前記オススプラインは外周に焼入れ硬化層を有し、前記接続用孔のメススプラインが形成されていない部分の内径は、前記オススプラインの外径よりも小さく、
軸方向の端部から途中までメススプラインが形成された焼入れ硬化層をもたない接続用孔を有するシャフトクランプの前記接続用孔に前記オススプラインを圧入して、塑性流動もしくは剪断または両方によってスプラインを転写させ、前記接続用孔に前記オススプラインとすきまなく嵌合したメススプラインを形成させることにより、前記オススプラインに前記シャフトクランプを塑性結合させたステアリング用ジョイント。 - 前記オススプラインの反軸端側の端部に溝を設け、前記オススプラインにシャフトクランプを圧入により嵌合させた後、前記溝に対向する位置のシャフトクランプの端部外周を数箇所かしめた請求項1のステアリング用ジョイント。
- 前記シャフトクランプの外周にブーツ固定用の溝を設けた請求項1または2のステアリング用ジョイント。
- 前記オススプラインの軸端側の端部にシール剤を塗布した請求項1、2または3のステアリング用ジョイント。
