Description
図1は、第1の実施形態に係るスピントルク発振子を含む磁気記録ヘッドを媒体対向面から見た図である。図1によれば、主磁極10とトレーリングシールド17との間に、第1の実施形態に係るスピントルク発振子100が設けられている。スピントルク発振子100は、主磁極10側から、下地層11、バッファ層12、スピン注入層13、中間層14、発振層15およびキャップ層16がこの順に積層された構造となっている。さらに、スピン注入層13は、中間層14との界面側に第1層2を含み、第1層2とバッファ層12との間に第2層1を含む。
図3は、実施形態に係るスピントルク発振子を含む磁気記録ヘッドを搭載した磁気記録装置150を示す斜視図である。
実施例として、図2に示すスピントルク発振子100を作製し、スピントルク発振のための臨界電流密度を調べた。
比較例として、図2と同様な構造のスピントルク発振子を作製した。このスピントルク発振子では、スピン注入層13の第2層1としてCo80Pt20合金を用いた。
以下に、当初の特許請求の範囲に記載していた発明を付記する。

発振層と、スピン注入層と、それらの間に設けられた中間層とを含むスピントルク発振子であって、前記スピン注入層は前記中間層に接して設けられた第1層と前記第1層に接して設けられた第2層とを含み、前記第1層は(001)面配向したホイスラー磁性合金または(001)面配向した体心立方格子(bcc)構造を有する磁性体を含むスピントルク発振子。

前記スピン注入層の第2層は(001)面配向した垂直磁気異方性を有する磁性体を含む[1]に記載のスピントルク発振子。

前記スピン注入層の第2層に接して設けられたバッファ層をさらに含み、前記バッファ層は(001)面配向したCrまたは(001)面配向したAl−Ni合金を含む[2]に記載のスピントルク発振子。
[4]
前記バッファ層に接して設けられた下地層をさらに含み、前記下地層はアモルファス構造を有し、且つTaを含むか、またはTa、NbもしくはZrとNiとを含む合金を含む[3]に記載のスピントルク発振子。
[5]
[1]に記載のスピントルク発振子を含む磁気記録ヘッドを含む磁気記録装置。
Claims (5)
- 発振層と、スピン注入層と、それらの間に設けられたCu、AuまたはAgから成る中間層とを含むスピントルク発振子であって、前記スピン注入層は前記中間層に接して設けられた第1層と前記第1層に接して設けられた第2層とを含み、前記第1層は(001)面配向したホイスラー磁性合金または(001)面配向した体心立方格子(bcc)構造を有する磁性体を含むスピントルク発振子。
- 前記スピン注入層の第2層は(001)面配向した垂直磁気異方性を有する磁性体を含む請求項1に記載のスピントルク発振子。
- 前記スピン注入層の第2層に接して設けられたバッファ層をさらに含み、前記バッファ層は(001)面配向したCrまたは(001)面配向したAl−Ni合金を含む請求項2に記載のスピントルク発振子。
- 前記バッファ層に接して設けられた下地層をさらに含み、前記下地層はアモルファス構造を有し、且つTaを含むか、またはTa、NbもしくはZrとNiとを含む合金を含む請求項3に記載のスピントルク発振子。
- 請求項1に記載のスピントルク発振子を含む磁気記録ヘッドを含む磁気記録装置。
