Description
本発明は、包括的には、医療装置制御の分野および臨床医(一人または複数)が同時に複数の作業を遂行することができる患者−臨床医−機械システム内での相互作用を向上させる分野に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、鎮静および鎮痛送出システム等の医療装置のユーザインタフェースおよび制御方法に関する。
臨床医用にユーザインタフェース(UI)を設計することは、多くの臨床医が広範囲にわたる勤務時間中に座る時間または忍耐を有してない場合があるため、特に扱いにくい課題である。臨床医の中での一観点によれば、ある緊急の状況では、そのマニュアルがすぐに手に入らないか、臨床医がそれについて十分に訓練を受けていない、すなわち技能維持に最近その装置を使用していないときに、装置の操作が必要となる可能性があるため、医療装置の操作にマニュアルを読む必要があるならば、その装置の設計者は落第である。多くの医療装置は、この実際的な現実世界での直観性および有用性の定義を欠いている。有用性が不十分であることが臨床処置の最終的な結果に影響する可能性があるとすると、臨床医のニーズを見越した、うまく設計されたユーザインタフェースが極めて重要である。
本発明は、鎮静および鎮痛についての経験があったり、またはなかったりする臨床医がシステムを容易かつ安全に操作できるようにする、鎮静および鎮痛送出システムのユーザインタフェースを包含する。このユーザインタフェースは、鎮静および鎮痛処置に関わるプロセスについて、またはこのプロセスと相互作用する情報を示す、いくつかは状況依存式であることができる、いくつかの異なるウィンドウを表示可能なタッチスクリーン等の対話式装置と、タッチスクリーン上に何が表示されているかに関わりなく、システムの主要機能を起動または停止するいくつかのボタンからなる別個のキーパッドとからなる。表示は、Deep Video Imagingから入手できるもの等、高いデータ密度を実現しやすくする多層ディスプレイであってもよい。
機能的に鎮静および鎮痛送出システムに統合することができるユーザインタフェース(UI)について本明細書に述べる。このような鎮静および鎮痛送出システムの一例は、1999年6月3日に出願され、その全体が参照により本明細書に援用される米国特許出願第09/324,759号に記載されている。
Claims (14)
- 鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステムであって、
少なくとも1つの生理学的状況を反映した信号を受け取るようになっている1つまたは複数の患者健康状態モニタデバイスと、
1つまたは複数の薬物を供給する薬物送出コントローラと、
ユーザ入力を受け取り、システム情報、前記鎮静および鎮痛の施行に関する情報、および前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況に関する情報を中継して伝えるユーザインタフェースサブシステムであって、前記システムは、前記ユーザ入力が前記患者に対して有害となる可能性のある状況をもたらす命令を構成する場合には、前記ユーザインタフェースを介して前記ユーザに警告する、ユーザインタフェースサブシステムと、
前記1つまたは複数の患者健康状態モニタデバイス、前記薬物送出コントローラ、および前記ユーザインタフェースサブシステムに動作可能に接続された電子的コントローラであって、少なくとも1つの生理学的状況を反映した前記信号および前記ユーザ入力を受け取り、これに応答して、パラメータに従って前記1つまたは複数の薬物の適用を管理する電子的コントローラであって、前記パラメータは安全かつ効果的な鎮静に関連するものである、電子的コントローラと、
を備え、
前記ユーザインタフェースサブシステムは、前記システム情報、前記鎮静および鎮痛の施行に関する情報、および前記パラメータに対する関係における前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況に関する情報を監視する少なくとも1つのデバイスと、前記ユーザが前記薬物送出コントローラおよび前記電子的コントローラを制御できるようにする少なくとも1つのデバイスとを備える、鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。 - 前記ユーザインタフェースサブシステムは、
表示用であり、かつ前記システム、前記鎮静および鎮痛の施行、および前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況に関連するユーザ入力を受け取るタッチスクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイの少なくとも一方と、
前記タッチスクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイとは無関係に、前記システムと相互作用する別個のハードボタンセットと、
を備える、請求項1記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況は、ECG、心拍数、血圧、SpO2、呼吸数、ETCO2、および患者の反応性からなる群から選択される、請求項1記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記1つまたは複数の患者健康状態モニタデバイスからのデータは、単一のスクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイ上に表示されるときに組織配列上のエリアにグループ化され、各組織配列上のエリアは、患者の特定の生理学的状況に関連するデータを含む、請求項1記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記1つまたは複数の患者健康状態モニタデバイスからのデータは、心臓血管データの組織配列上のエリア、酸素供給データの組織配列上のエリア、および換気データの組織配列上のエリアにグループ化される、請求項4記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記酸素供給データの組織配列上のエリアは、前記心臓血管データの組織配列上のエリアに隣接する、請求項5記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記酸素供給データの組織配列上のエリアは、前記換気データの組織配列上のエリアに隣接する、請求項5記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記鎮静および鎮痛の施行に関連する情報は、薬物動態学的計算に基づいた患者薬物レベルに関する情報を含み、前記患者薬物レベルに関する情報および前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況に関する情報は、単一スクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイにおいて、前記ユーザが前記患者薬物レベルに関する情報および前記少なくとも1つの生理学的状況に関する情報を関係付けるのを容易にする位置に表示される、請求項1記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記単一スクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイは、患者状態アラームおよび助言ならびにシステム状態アラームおよび助言に関する情報を表示する専用部分を含む、請求項8記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 現在のアラームおよび助言に関する情報は、前記単一スクリーンまたは多層ディスプレイの、前記アラームおよび助言の優先度によって決められた位置に表示される、請求項9記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記ユーザインタフェースサブシステムは、前記ユーザに表示された前記患者状態アラームおよび助言ならびに前記システム状態アラームおよび助言に関する情報を多重的に示す可聴インジケータを前記ユーザに中継して伝える、請求項9記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 前記何重もの可聴インジケータは、前記ユーザインタフェースサブシステムを介して前記ユーザによって消音化可能である、請求項11記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 消音化された何重もの可聴インジケータは、予め設定された期間中消音化されたままであり、残っている消音化時間量が前記ユーザに表示される、請求項12記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
- 現在のアラームおよび助言に関する情報は色分けされ、表示される色は、前記アラームおよび助言の優先度を示す、請求項9記載の鎮静および鎮痛を施行するシステム。
