Claims (5)
- 表示領域と前記表示領域の外側に設けられた額縁領域とを有する表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの観察者側に配置された透光性カバーとを備え、
前記透光性カバーは、前記表示パネルの前記額縁領域の一部と、前記額縁領域の前記一部に隣接する前記表示領域内の周辺表示領域の一部とを含む領域に重なる位置に配置されたレンズ部を有し、
前記表示パネルの少なくとも側面に配置された筐体部を有する筐体をさらに備え、
前記筐体部の観察者側には、前記周辺表示領域の前記一部から出射された光の一部および/または背面側から入射する光の一部が出射されており、
前記筐体部は透光性であり、前記筐体部の外側端面は、前記透光性カバーの前記レンズ部の外側端部の外側にある、直視型の表示装置。 - 前記筐体と前記透光性カバーとは一体に形成されている、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記筐体と前記透光性カバーとは一体に形成されており、
前記筐体部の観察者側表面と背面側表面との少なくとも一部はレンズ面である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記筐体部は、前記筐体部の前記観察者側表面が、前記レンズ部の前記観察者側表面と境界を形成するように設けられており、
前記境界は、前記額縁領域の前記一部の観察者側にあり、
前記筐体部の前記観察者側表面はレンズ面である、請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示領域のうち、前記周辺表示領域以外の領域の少なくとも一部に形成される画像は、前記周辺表示領域の前記一部に形成される画像と異なる種類のコンテンツの画像である、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
