Description
上流側から下流側に向けて送られるキャリアシート(14)上に未硬化の熱硬化性樹脂を含む樹脂組成物からなる下側樹脂層(11a)を設けるステップと、
前記下側樹脂層(11a)上に長さが12.7〜63.5mmの下側短繊維(13)を散布するステップと、
前記下側樹脂層(11a)上に散布した前記下側短繊維(13)の上に繊維シート(12)を設けるステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)上に長さが12.7〜63.5mmの上側短繊維(13)を散布するステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)上に散布した前記上側短繊維(13)の上に未硬化の熱硬化性樹脂を含む樹脂組成物からなる上側樹脂層(11b)を設けるステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)に前記下側及び上側樹脂層(11a,11b)の熱硬化性樹脂を機械的に含浸させるステップと、
を上流側から順に実行することを特徴とする前記上側及び下側短繊維(13)の含有量が20〜65質量%であるSMCシート材の製造方法である。
<実施例>
短繊維を繊維シートの両側に配した上記実施形態と同様のSMCシート材を作製し、これを実施例とした。材料構成は以下の通りである。
繊維シートを設けなかったことを除いて、実施例と同一の構成のSMCシート材を作製し、これを比較例1とした(ガラス短繊維の含有量:39質量%)。
繊維シートを設けず、また、ガラス短繊維の代わりにカーボン短繊維(東レ社製 商品名:トレカT700,繊維長25.4mm)を用い、そして、その含有量を50質量%としたことを除いて、実施例と同一の構成のSMCシート材を作製し、これを比較例2とした。
実施例、比較例1及び2のそれぞれについて、3枚積層したSMCシート材を、145℃の上型及び130℃の下型で挟み、そこに10MPaの圧力を負荷して600秒間保持し、板状のサンプル成形品をプレス成形した。
図3は、サンプル成形品におけるSMCシート材の中央部分に対応した部分及び周縁部分に対応した部分のそれぞれの曲げ強度を示す。

Claims (1)
- 上流側から下流側に向けて送られるキャリアシート(14)上に未硬化の熱硬化性樹脂を含む樹脂組成物からなる下側樹脂層(11a)を設けるステップと、
前記下側樹脂層(11a)上に長さが12.7〜63.5mmの下側短繊維(13)を散布するステップと、
前記下側樹脂層(11a)上に散布した前記下側短繊維(13)の上に繊維シート(12)を設けるステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)上に長さが12.7〜63.5mmの上側短繊維(13)を散布するステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)上に散布した前記上側短繊維(13)の上に未硬化の熱硬化性樹脂を含む樹脂組成物からなる上側樹脂層(11b)を設けるステップと、
前記繊維シート(12)に前記下側及び上側樹脂層(11a,11b)の熱硬化性樹脂を機械的に含浸させるステップと、
を上流側から順に実行することを特徴とする前記上側及び下側短繊維(13)の含有量が20〜65質量%であるSMCシート材の製造方法。
