Description

この測定は、別に記載がない限り、23±2℃の周囲温度及び50±10%の相対空気湿分率で実施する。吸水性ポリマーを測定前に十分に混合する。
この吸水性ポリマーの含水率は、EDANA(欧州不織布協会)により推奨された試験方法番号430.2−02「含水率(Moisture content)」により測定する。
この吸水性ポリマー粒子の遠心保持許容量は、EDANA(欧州不織布協会)により推奨された試験方法番号441.2−02「遠心保持許容量(Centrifuge retention capasity)」により測定する。
荷重下吸収量(AUL)は、EDANA(欧州不織布協会)により推奨される試験方法番号442.2−02「荷重下吸収量(Absorption under pressure)」により測定する。
この吸水性ポリマー粒子の抽出率は、EDANA(欧州不織布協会(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association))により推奨された試験方法番号470.2−02「抽出率(Extractables)」により測定する。
例1
12kgのナトリウムアクリレート(水中、37.5質量%濃度の溶液)および1.1kgのアクリル酸を、3kgの水および9gの15箇所エトキシ化されたトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートと一緒に混合した。この溶液を、開始剤の添加後に、加熱された、窒素雰囲気で充填された液滴生成塔中に滴加した(170℃、12m高さ、2m幅、ガス速度0.1m/s、並流で)中で滴下した。供給速度は、16kg/hであった。液滴形成プレートは、37個の孔を、孔径170μmで有していた。液滴形成プレートの直径は65mmであった。開始剤として、2,2−アゾビス[2−(2−イミダゾリン−2−イル)プロパン]ジヒドロクロリドおよび2,2−アゾビス(2−アミジノプロパン)ジヒドロクロリドを使用した。開始剤の濃度は、モノマーに対してそれぞれ0.2質量%であった。開始剤のモノマー溶液への混合は、液滴生成器のすぐ上流のスタティックミキサを介して、2%水溶液の形で、開始剤を用いておこなった。

Claims (19)
- 気相中での液滴重合によって、吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する方法において、重合後にポリマー粒子を乾燥させ、かつ選択的に凝集および/または後架橋させ、その際、ポリマー粒子を、流動化状態で、重合から、乾燥、凝集および後架橋の工程のうちの少なくとも1つに移行させ、乾燥を、流動床中で実施することを特徴とする、気相中での液滴重合によって、吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する方法。
- 流動化状態を、流動床によって生じさせる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 流動化状態を、空気輸送によって生じさせる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 流動化状態を、自由落下によって生じさせる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 重合から乾燥への移行は、自由落下させることにより実施する、請求項1または4に記載の方法。
- ポリマー粒子が、凝集および/または後架橋中で、流動化状態である、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 流動床中で、凝集および/または後架橋を実施する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 重合を、光開始剤によって開始する、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 重合を、80℃を下回るガス温度で、少なくとも50%のモノマー変換率になるまで実施する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の方法により得られる、粉末状の吸水性ポリマー粒子。
- 請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の方法により得られる、粉末状の吸水性液滴重合ポリマー。
- 請求項10または11に記載の吸水性ポリマー粒子を含有する、衛生用品。
- ポリマー粒子を、重合後に乾燥させ、かつ選択的に凝集および/または後架橋する、液滴重合によって吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する装置において、
乾燥のための装置が流動床装置であり、
重合と乾燥、凝集または後架橋の工程のうちの少なくとも1つとを接続する接続部が設けられ、その中で、ポリマー粒子を流動化状態で運搬することを特徴とする、液滴重合によって吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する装置。 - 接続部が、流動床装置である、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 接続部が、空気コンベヤーである、請求項13に記載の装置。

反応室の上部領域において少なくとも1つの照射源を含み、かつ、反応室の上部と下部との間に、少なくとも1つのキャリヤーガス供給口を含む、乾燥した吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する装置を備え、
重合と乾燥、凝集または後架橋の工程のうちの少なくとも1つとを接続する接続部が設けられ、その中で、ポリマー粒子を流動化状態で運搬することを特徴とする、液滴重合によって吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する装置。 - 請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の方法によって製造された、後架橋された粉末状の吸水性ポリマー粒子の、衛生製品中で、廃棄物の濃縮のため、あるいは、農業における保水剤としての使用。
