Description
第1の工程(工程ST1)は、耐火性繊維、特に炭素繊維または炭素コア繊維から繊維強化材を形成することからなる。本発明により作られる最終部品中に存在させるべき材料の膨張係数とできるだけ適合する膨張係数を有する繊維を選択することが好ましい。すなわち、関係する材料の熱膨張係数に近い、すなわち、炭化ケイ素の熱膨張係数とケイ素の熱膨張係数の双方に近い熱膨張係数を呈する繊維である。かかる繊維を用いると、差のある寸法変動による応力が制限され、従って材料の割れが制限される。

Claims (18)
- 不透過性耐熱構造複合材料から部品を製造する方法であって、炭化ケイ素繊維、炭素繊維および炭素コア繊維から選択される耐火性繊維で作られた少なくとも1つの繊維強化材から多孔質基材(10)を形成し、前記多孔質基材(10)を炭素の第1の相により緻密化して第1の緻密化された基材を得て、前記第1の緻密化された基材を炭化ケイ素の第2の相により緻密化して第2の緻密化された基材を得ることを包含する方法において、前記第2の緻密化された基材を溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(13)で含浸して前記第2の緻密化された基材の気孔を充填することを特徴とする該方法。
- 前記繊維強化材を、化学蒸気浸透により前記炭化ケイ素の第2の相により緻密化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維強化材の耐火性繊維が、炭化ケイ素繊維、および天然もしくは人工セルロース前駆体、ポリアクリロニトリル前駆体(PAN)、ピッチ前駆体、有機樹脂前駆体を有する炭素繊維または炭素コア繊維から選ばれる繊維であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維強化材を、熱分解炭素の化学蒸気浸透により炭素の第1の相により緻密化することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 熱分解炭素の化学蒸気浸透工程の後に、熱処理工程を行うことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維強化材を前記炭素の第1の相で緻密化することが、前記強化材を炭素前駆体ポリマーを含有する液体組成物で含浸し、前記ポリマーを架橋し、前記架橋したポリマーを炭素に変換することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記炭化ケイ素の第2の相による緻密化を、化学蒸気浸透により行うことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記炭化ケイ素の第2の相による緻密化が、炭化ケイ素前駆体を含有する液体組成物による含浸、および前記前駆体のセラミック化を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記含浸操作前に、前記基材(10)を機械加工して材料中の気孔を開くことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(13)が、ケイ素、またはケイ素とチタン、ジルコニウム、モリブデンおよびゲルマニウムから選ばれる他の材料との合金により構成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 基材(10)を、溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(13)を収容する受け器(12)と、前記基材を支持する少なくとも1つのスタッド(11)を用いて行い、前記スタッドは、前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物が前記記載の気孔中に浸透するように、前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物を毛管作用により前記基材に運ぶための灯心を形成することを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記含浸工程の前に、前記基材(10)の側面を、前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(13)に対するバリヤーを形成する抗湿潤材でコーティングすることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記含浸工程の前に、前記基材(10)の頂面を、前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(13)に対するバリヤーを形成する抗湿潤剤の層(16)でコーティングすることを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物による含浸操作の後に、炭化ケイ素を気相堆積させることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質基材が、炭素の第1の相および炭化ケイ素の第2の相により緻密化された耐火性繊維で作られた2つの繊維強化材(110,120)で作られたものであり、前記溶融ケイ素を含有する組成物(113)による前記基材の含浸操作中に、前記2つの繊維強化材の接触表面を互いに結合させるように、前記繊維強化材を互いに接触させて保持することを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 不透過性耐熱構造複合材料構造を製造する方法であって、少なくとも2つの部品(31,32)を請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法を用いて作製し、前記部品の接触させようとする表面間にろう付け組成物(37)を介在させた後に、ろう付けにより前記部品を互いに取り付けることを特徴とする方法。
- 互いに取り付けようとする部品の表面上に炭化ケイ素(34a,34b,35a,35b)の堆積を形成する事前工程をさらに含み、前記炭化ケイ素(34a,34b,35a,35b)の堆積を、前記部品の強化材を炭素の前記第1の相および前記炭化ケイ素の第2の相によって緻密化したあとに化学気相浸透によって形成することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ろう付け工程の前に、互いにろう付けしない部品の表面部分上に前記ろう付け組成物に対するバリヤーを形成するために抗湿潤剤(36)を適用することをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項16または17に記載の方法。
