Description
ビニルエステル類としては、酢酸ビニルなどが挙げられる。
得られたエマルジョンに、ラジカル重合開始剤を添加し、重合が進行する温度まで加熱し、重合を完結させればよい。
なお、樹脂エマルジョンの分析は次の方法によって実施した。
得られた粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを25℃で10日間放置し、沈降物の有無を目視で以下の如く判定した。
○:良好 △:少量の沈降あり ×:多量の沈降あり
レーザー回折式粒度測定装置((株)島津製作所製、商品名「SALD−2000」を用い、屈折率1.70−0.20i(式中iは虚数部を表す。)、吸光率0.06の条件で測定した。)
攪拌装置、温度計、還流冷却管、滴下ロートおよび窒素導入管を備えた反応容器に、窒素ガス気流下、水43.4部およびポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸エステルナトリウム塩(アニオン性乳化剤:商品名「ハイテノール073」:第一工業製薬(株)製)0.92部からなる水溶液を仕込み、70℃に昇温した。次いで、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート90部、ブチルアクリレート7部およびアクリル酸3部からなる混合物と、過硫酸カリウム(重合開始剤)0.24部、pH調整剤(重曹)0.11部および水8.83部からなる開始剤水溶液の各々の1/10量を反応容器に添加し、窒素ガス気流下にて70℃、30分間予備重合反応を行った。次いで、前記混合物と前記開始剤水溶液の残りの9/10量を2時間に渡り反応容器に添加して乳化重合を行い、その後70℃で1時間保持して重合反応を完結させた。こうして得られたアクリル系重合体エマルジョンを室温まで冷却した後、100メッシュ金網を用いてろ過し、固形分47.8%のアクリル系重合体エマルジョンを得た。
攪拌装置、温度計、還流冷却管、および窒素導入管を備えた反応容器に、窒素ガス気流下、ポリオキシエチレンフェニルエーテル系の反応性乳化剤(商品名「アクアロンRN−50」、第一工業製薬(株)製)を固形分換算で25部、スチレン12.5部、メタクリル酸メチル12.5部、メタクリル酸40部およびスチレンスルホン酸ソーダ10部を仕込み、さらに水20部を加えて前記仕込み成分を透明な均一系とした。次いで、これにドデカンチオール1部、ベンゾイルパーオキサイド2部および水300部を混合し重合を開始した。65度で2時間攪拌した後、28%アンモニア水29部添加し、さらに65℃で6時間攪拌して重合を終了した後に常温まで冷却した。不揮発分22.5%の高分子乳化剤の分散液を得た。
攪拌機、冷却管、温度計および滴下ロートを備えた加圧式反応装置に、粘着付与樹脂である軟化点160℃の重合ロジンエステル(商品名「ペンセルD−160」、荒川化学工業(株)製)90部を加熱溶融し、240℃でステアリルメタクリレート(SMA)4部を溶融混合させ、190℃まで冷却させた後、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート(2EHA)6部を溶融混合させた。その後、160℃まで冷却し、次いで加圧条件下でアニオン性乳化剤(商品名「ネオハイテノールF−13」、第一工業製薬(株)製)5部を攪拌しながら添加し、系内を140℃に保ちながら、滴下ロートから熱水15部を添加することによりクリーム状の油中水型エマルジョンを得た。次いで、激しく攪拌しながら熱水を54部添加し転相させ、水中油型エマルジョンとし、さらに熱水で濃度55%まで希釈した。
得られたエマルジョンを窒素雰囲気下で80℃に保温し、20%過硫酸アンモニウム水溶液を1%加え、2時間反応させた。その後、該エマルジョンを25℃まで冷却し、250メッシュ金網でろ過して粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを得た。
用いた粘着付与樹脂(A)、ラジカル重合性モノマー(B)および開始剤量を表1のように変更した他は実施例1と同様にして粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを得た。ラジカル重合体モノマーは略称を示した。
用いた粘着付与樹脂(A)、ラジカル重合性モノマー(B)および開始剤量を表1のように変更し、乳化剤を製造例2で得られた高分子乳化剤7部に変更した他は実施例1と同様にして粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを得た。
粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを添加せず、製造例1で製造したアクリル系重合体エマルジョンを粘着試験に供した。
軟化点160℃の重合ロジンエステル100部をトルエン60部に80℃にて約2時間溶解した後、アニオン系乳化剤(商品名「ネオハイテノールF−13」、第一工業製薬(株)製)を5部および水120部を添加し、80℃にて1時間攪拌し予備乳化を行った。得られた予備乳化物を高圧乳化機(ガウリン社製)により30MPaの圧力で高圧乳化して乳化物を得た。次いで、減圧蒸留装置に前記乳化物200部を仕込み50℃、13kPaの条件下に6時間減圧蒸留を行い固形分50%の粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを得た。
用いた粘着付与樹脂(A)、ラジカル重合性モノマー(B)および開始剤量を表1のように変更した他は、実施例1と同様にして粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンを得た。
製造例6で得られたアクリル系重合体エマルジョン100部(固形部)に、前記実施例および比較例で得られた粘着付与樹脂エマルジョン10部(固形部)を混合した調製物にアクリル系の増粘剤として「プライマルASE−60」(日本アクリル化学(株)製)0.5部(固形部)を添加し、水性粘着剤組成物を得た。得られた水系粘着剤組成物を厚さ38μmのポリエステルフィルム(商品名「S−100」、三菱化学ポリエステルフィルム(株)製)にサイコロ型アプリケーター(大佑機材(株)製)にて乾燥膜厚が28μm程度となるように塗布し、次いで105℃の循風乾燥機中で5分間乾燥させて、粘着シートを作成して各種試験を行った。結果を表1に示す。
各種試験は以下の方法による。結果は表2に示す。
Claims (2)
- 粘着付与樹脂(A)100重量部に対し、ラジカル重合性モノマー(B)3〜30重量部を溶融混合し、乳化剤および水を加えて水性分散体とした後に、ラジカル重合開始剤を添加して重合させることを特徴とする有機溶剤の含有量が50ppm以下の粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンの製造方法。
- 溶融混合を、粘着付与樹脂(A)の軟化点(SP)以上、粘着付与樹脂(A)の軟化点(SP)+100℃以下の温度範囲で行う請求項1に記載の粘着付与樹脂エマルジョンの製造方法。
