Claims (15)
- 色画素値のシリアルストリームを受信する入力部と;及び
前記色画素値のうちの第1の色画素値を記憶し、前記色画素値のうちの現在の1つの色画素値を受信するエンコーダとを具備し、
前記エンコーダは、前記色画素値のうちの前記現在の1つの色画素値が、閾値よりも小さい差で、前記色画素値のうちの前記第1の色画素値と異なるか否かを決定し、そうである場合は、カラーマッチング符号化によって前記現在の1つの色画素値を符号化し、
前記閾値は、3色次元の全次元に対して、正規色空間領域から拡張された拡張色空間領域によって決定され、前記拡張色空間領域の各色軸の前記閾値は、それぞれ、映像知覚のための感度レベルに適応する異なる値にカスタマイズされる、
ことを特徴とする映像符号化装置。 - 前記色マッチング符号化は、ランレングス符号化である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像符号化装置。 - 前記エンコーダは、前記色画素値のうちの第1及び第2の色画素値を記憶し、
前記エンコーダは、前記色画素値のうちの前記現在の1つの色画素値が、閾値よりも小さい差で、前記第1の色画素値と異なるか否かを決定し、
そうである場合は、第1のバイナリ状態を持つビットとして前記現在の色画素値を符号化し、そうでない場合は、前記色画素値のうちの前記現在の1つの色画素値が、閾値よりも小さい差で、前記第2の色画素値と異なるか否かを決定して、そうである場合は、第2のバイナリ状態を持つビットとして前記現在の色画素値を符号化する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像符号化装置。 - 前記エンコーダが、前記色画素値のうちの前記現在の1つの色画素値が、閾値を上回る差で、前記色画素値のうちの前記第1の色画素値と異なることを決定した場合、
前記エンコーダは、色を一意に識別する1バイトを生成することによって、前記現在の色画素値を符号化する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像符号化装置。 - 前記色画素値の各々は色画素成分値を含み;及び
前記エンコーダは、前記色画素成分値の第1の組を記憶し、前記色画素成分値の現在の組を受信し、
前記エンコーダは、前記色画素成分値の現在の組のうちのそれぞれ1つが、閾値より小さい差で、前記色画素成分値の前記第1の組のうちの対応する1つと異なるか否かを決定して、前記現在の組のうち全ての色画素成分値に対してそうである場合は、カラーマッチング符号化によって前記現在の画素値を符号化する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像符号化装置。 - 前記エンコーダは、前記色画素成分値の第1及び第2の組を記憶し、及び
前記エンコーダは、前記色画素成分値のうちの前記現在値のそれぞれ1つが、閾値より小さい差で、前記第1の色画素成分値のうちの対応するものと異なるか否かを決定して、
前記現在の組のうち全ての色画素成分値に対してそうである場合は、前記現在の画素値を第1のバイナリ状態を持つビットとして符号化し、前記現在の組のうち色画素成分値に対してそうでない場合がある場合は、前記色画素の成分値のうちの前記現在のものが、閾値よりも小さい差で、前記第2の色画素成分値のうちの対応するものと異なるか否かを決定し、前記現在の組のうち全ての色画素成分値に対してそうである場合は、前記現在の色画素値を第2のバイナリ状態を持つビットとして符号化する
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の映像符号化装置。 - 画素色値を備えるシリアル映像データ・ストリームを受信し、
前記画素色値のうちの現在の1つの画素色値を識別し、
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値と所定の位置関係を持つシリアル映像データ・ストリーム内で、前の画素色値に等しい基準画素色値を識別し、
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記基準画素色値とどの程度異なっているかを決定し、
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、閾値より小さい差で、前記基準画素色値と異なっている場合、カラーマッチング符号化によって前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値を符号化し、
前記閾値は、3色次元の全次元に対して、正規色空間領域から拡張された拡張色空間領域によって決定され、前記拡張色空間領域の各色軸の前記閾値は、それぞれ、映像知覚のための感度レベルに適応する異なる値にカスタマイズされる、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記カラーマッチング符号化は、ランレングス符号化である
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。 - 前記所定の位置関係は、前記現在の色画素値を含むランの直ぐ左隣の位置である
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記所定の位置関係は、前記現在の色画素値を含むランの真上の位置である
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記所定の位置関係は、前記現在の色画素値を含むランの始点に対して、直前のフレーム内の共通位置である
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。 - 画素色値を備えるシリアル映像データ・ストリームを受信し、
前記画素色値のうちの現在の1つの画素色値を識別し、
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値を含む画素のランの直ぐ隣の異なる2つの前の画素色値に等しい第1及び第2の基準画素色値を識別し、
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記第1の基準画素色値とどの程度異なっているかを決定し;
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、所定の閾値より小さい差で、前記基準画素色値と異なっている場合、ビットに基づく符号化によって前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値を符号化し、ここで、前記ビットは、前記第1の基準画素色値にそれぞれ対応する2つのバイナリ状態のうちの1つに符号化され;
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記所定の閾値を超える差で、前記第1の基準画素色値と異なる場合は:
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記第2の基準画素色値とどの程度異なっているかを決定し;及び
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、所定の閾値より小さい差で、前記第2の基準画素色値と異なっている場合、ビットに基づく符号化によって前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値を符号化し、ここで、前記ビットは、前記第2の基準画素色値に対応する2つのバイナリ状態のうちの1つに符号化され、
前記閾値は、3色次元の全次元に対して、正規色空間領域から拡張された拡張色空間領域によって決定され、前記拡張色空間領域の各色軸の前記閾値は、それぞれ、映像知覚のための感度レベルに適応する異なる値にカスタマイズされる、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記画素色値は、複数の画素成分値を備え;
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記第1の基準画素色値とどの程度異なっているかを決定するステップは、前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値の各画素成分値が、前記第1の基準画素色成分値の内の対応するものとどの程度異なっているかを決定することを含み;
前記現在の画素成分値の全てが、所定の閾値より小さい差で、前記第1の基準画素色成分値のうちの前記対応するものの全てと異なる場合は、ビットに基づく符号化によって前記現在の画素色成分値を符号化し、ここで、前記ビットは、前記第1の基準画素色成分値にそれぞれ対応する2つのバイナリ状態のうちの1つに符号化され;
前記現在の画素成分値が、前記所定の閾値を上回る差で、前記第1の基準画素成分色値と異なる場合は:
前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値が、前記第2の基準画素色値とどの程度異なっているかを決定するステップは、前記画素色値のうちの前記現在の1つの画素色値内のそれぞれの画素成分値が、前記第2の基準画素色値のうちの対応するものとどの程度異なっているかを決定することを含み;
前記現在の画素成分値の全てが、所定の閾値より小さい差で、前記第2の基準画素色成分値のうちの前記対応するものの全てと異なる場合は、ビットに基づく符号化によって前記現在の画素色値を符号化し、ここで、前記ビットは、前記第2の基準画素成分色値にそれぞれ対応する2つのバイナリ状態のうちの1つに符号化される
ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。 - 複数の異なる圧縮コマンドタイプを使って、映像ストリームを圧縮するエンコーダを含む映像システムであって、これら圧縮コマンドタイプの少なくともいくつかは、既知の画素値をもつ映像ストリーム内の現在の画素値の比較分析を利用する比較コマンドであり、
このシステムの改良は:
選択的に所定のヒステリシス関数を前記比較コマンドのうちの対応するコマンドに追加するシステムを前記エンコーダに備え、
前記ヒステリシス関数によって、異なる圧縮コマンドタイプに関連する対応する比較分析で、カスタマイズされた感度の低減が提供され、
前記ヒステリシス関数の閾値は、3色次元の全次元に対して、正規色空間領域から拡張された拡張色空間領域によって決定され、前記拡張色空間領域の各色軸の前記閾値は、それぞれ、映像知覚のための感度レベルに適応する異なる値にカスタマイズされる、
ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記異なる比較圧縮コマンドタイプは、少なくとも1つのランレングス符号化と、少なくとも1つの2色シリーズ・コマンドタイプとを含み、
前記エンコーダは、前記2色シリーズに対してではなく前記ランレングス符号化に対する異なるヒステリシス関数を提供する
ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載のシステム。
