Description

本発明の実施形態は携帯型デバイスに関し、より詳細にはタッチスクリーンを利用する携帯型デバイスに関する。
Claims (30)
- 一つ以上の主要面を有するケースと、
少なくとも一つの主要面に配置されたタッチスクリーンと、
前記タッチスクリーンに動作可能に接続されたプロセッサと、
前記タッチスクリーンに近接して配置された一つ以上の触覚ピクセルと、を備え、
前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのそれぞれがアクチュエータに接続された可動部とセンサを備え、
前記アクチュエータは前記プロセッサに接続され、
前記アクチュエータは前記プロセッサからの命令に応答して作動するよう構成され、
前記センサは、前記可動部に圧力が加えられたとき、前記プロセッサによって実行される一つ以上のプログラムへの入力として信号を生成するよう構成され、
前記可動部は、前記プロセッサによる一つ以上の命令の実行に応答して第1位置と第2位置との間で前記アクチュエータによって作動可能であり、
前記第1位置における前記可動部の触感が、前記第2位置における前記可動部の触感と異なることを特徴とする、携帯型電子デバイス。 - 前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルが、前記タッチスクリーンと同一の前記ケースの主要面上に設置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルが、前記タッチスクリーンが配置される前記主要面に近接する前記ケースの側端に設置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記ケースは、前記タッチスクリーンが配置される前記主要面と側端との間に傾斜端部を備え、前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルが該傾斜端部に設置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記タッチスクリーンの所定の状態に応答して、ユーザに触覚フィードバックを与えおよび/またはユーザからの入力を受け取れるように前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルが配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのうち特定の一つ以上が選択的に作動して、前記タッチスクリーン上に表示される画像のスクロールの終点を指し示すように構成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記タッチスクリーンの状態変化に応答して、前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのうち特定の一つ以上が振動するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのうち前記特定の一つ以上の振動周波数が、タッチパッドになされるジェスチャの状態に関係することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- タッチパッドで入力されたジェスチャに応答して、ユーザに触覚フィードバックを与えおよび/またはユーザからの入力を受け取れるように、前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルが配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのうち特定の一つ以上が、携帯型電子デバイスへの特定のコマンド入力に関連づけられたボタンとして機能するように配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 前記タッチスクリーンが、前記特定の一つ以上の触覚ピクセルに近接して、前記特定のコマンド入力を識別する情報を表示するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 携帯型電子デバイスの配向の変化を検知するように構成されたセンサをさらに備える請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 携帯型電子デバイスの配向の変化に応答して、前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのうち特定の一つ以上が前記第1位置と前記第2位置との間で作動するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- ゲーム装置、電話機、携帯型メディアプレーヤ、電子メール装置、ウェブブラウザ装置またはナビゲーション装置として使用されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- ゲーム装置として使用されるように構成され、かつゲーム状態の変化またはゲームイベントに応答して前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルの状態を変化させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 当該携帯型電子デバイスと一つ以上の他のデバイスとの間の通信を容易にするよう適合された通信インタフェースをさらに備える請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 当該携帯型電子デバイスと通信する一つ以上の他のデバイスの状態変化に応答して前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルの状態が変化するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯型電子デバイス。
- 電子デバイスの主要面に配置されるタッチスクリーンと、
前記タッチスクリーンと動作可能に接続されたプロセッサと、
前記タッチスクリーンに近接して配置された一つ以上の触覚ピクセルと、を備え、
前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのそれぞれがアクチュエータに接続された可動部とセンサを備え、
前記プロセッサにトランスデューサが接続され、
前記アクチュエータは前記プロセッサからの命令に応答して作動するよう構成され、
前記センサは、前記可動部に圧力が加えられたとき、前記プロセッサによって実行される一つ以上のプログラムへの入力として信号を生成するよう構成され、
前記可動部は、前記プロセッサによる一つ以上の命令の実行に応答して第1位置と第2位置との間で前記アクチュエータによって作動可能であり、
前記第1位置における前記可動部の触感が、前記第2位置における前記可動部の触感と異なることを特徴とする電子デバイス。 - タッチスクリーンと、該タッチスクリーンに近接して配置される一つ以上の触覚ピクセルとを有する携帯型デバイスを作動させる方法であって、
前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルのそれぞれがアクチュエータに接続された可動部とセンサを備え、
前記可動部は前記アクチュエータによって第1位置と第2位置との間で作動可能であり、
前記第1位置における前記可動部の触感が、前記第2位置における前記可動部の触感と異なっており、
当該方法は、
前記タッチスクリーンでユーザ入力を追跡し、
前記タッチスクリーンの状態を決定し、
ディスプレイの所定の状態の検出に応答して前記一つ以上の触覚ピクセルの状態を変更することを含む方法。 - 前記ユーザ入力を追跡することが、前記タッチスクリーンでユーザの指の動きを追跡することを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記タッチスクリーンの状態を決定することが、前記タッチスクリーン上でユーザが特定のジェスチャを入力したか否かを決定することを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記タッチスクリーンへの前記ユーザ入力が、ビデオゲームに対するユーザ入力に対応することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の状態が、ビデオゲーム状態の変化または一つ以上の特定のゲームイベントを反映することを特徴とする請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の状態が、前記携帯型デバイスと通信する一つ以上の他のデバイスの状態変化に対応することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記携帯型デバイスが傾きセンサを備え、前記所定の状態が前記傾きセンサの状態変化に対応することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚ピクセルの状態を変更することが、バブルレベルをシミュレートする方法で、前記傾きセンサにより検知された前記携帯型デバイスの傾きに応答して一つ以上の特定の触覚ピクセルを選択的に作動させることを含む請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚ピクセルの状態を変更することが、ユーザが一つ以上の特定のピクセルを感じられるように特定のピクセルを選択的に作動させ、前記特定のピクセルが前記携帯型デバイスのスクロールホイールとして機能するように特定のピクセルを構成することを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚ピクセルの状態を変更することが、ユーザが一つ以上の特定のピクセルを感じられるように前記タッチスクリーン上に表示されるコマンドに近接する一つ以上の特定のピクセルを選択的に作動させ、前記携帯型デバイスで前記コマンドを実行するためのボタンとして前記特定のピクセルが機能するように構成することを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記一つ以上の特定の触覚ピクセルを振動させることをさらに含む請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚ピクセルの状態を変更することが、ユーザが前記タッチスクリーンのスクロール限界に到達したとき、ユーザが一つ以上の特定のピクセルを感じられるように一つ以上の触覚特定のピクセルを選択的に作動させることを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
