Description
図3〜13に示される実施形態は、平坦な中央領域および先細の末端領域を有する樽状ローラを有する。図18〜21は、代替的なローラ形状の範囲を示す。このリストは、網羅的であることを意図するものではなく、例示されていない他の形状も本発明の範囲内に含まれるものとする。ローラ、または転動部材の集合体は、図18に示されるような実質的に球形を有することもできるし、図19に示されるような切り落とし面811、812を備えた球形を有することもできる。真球体は、質量中心と表面との距離が一定に保たれるため、本体が直進位置から転向されるときにローラを転向するのに必要な力が一定に保たれるという利点を有する。また、ローラ組立品の幾何学的中心と外面との距離が一定に保たれるため、本体が長手軸211を中心に回転されるときにヨーク235とクリーナヘッド230との間の継手237の高さが一定に保たれる。これによって、本体とクリーナヘッド230との接続要件が簡素化される。
再び図6および7を参照すると、本体210とクリーナヘッド230との間の接続は、アーム243の長手軸に対して傾斜した平面に形成された継手237を有するヨーク235を介してなされる。継手が配置される平面238の角度を、ここに示される角度から変えることができる。継手の平面238がアーム243の長手軸に垂直になるように継手237を形成することは許容できるが、ヨークを回転させてもアーム243(およびクリーナヘッド230)が転向しないため、本発明の十分な利点を提供しない。平面238が、アーム243の長手軸に対して傾斜し、(機械を前進位置にして)床表面に対して実質的に垂直になるように継手237を形成すると、良好な結果が提供される。平面238を図6に示される位置まで傾斜させ、またはさらに傾斜させると、本体が長手軸を中心に回転するときにクリーナヘッド230が移動する範囲が大きくなる。

Claims (18)
- 表面処理機器であって、
ユーザ操作可能なハンドルを有する本体と、
該本体に取り付けられているとともに、前記ハンドルによって前記機器を表面に沿って移動させることを可能にするために前記本体に対して転動するように構成されている支持体組立品と、
前記表面を処理するための表面処理ヘッドと、
を備え、
前記支持体組立品は、転動支持体表面を形成する1つ以上の回転可能部材を備え、前記転動支持体表面は、前記支持体組立品の転動の軸方向の両端部に向かって直径を減じており、
前記支持体組立品は、モータ、フィルタ、及び流体の流れから取り込まれた物質を分離するための装置から選択された少なくとも1つの構成部材を収容していることを特徴とする機器。 - 前記構成部材は、前記転動支持体表面が前記構成部材の周りを回転するように前記支持体組立品内に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の機器。
- 前記支持体組立品は、流体の流れを受け入れるための流体導入口と、流体を排出するための流体排出口と、を備え、前記構成部材は、前記導入口を通じて受け入れた前記流体の流れに作用することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の機器。
- 前記流体導入口は、前記本体と前記支持体組立品との間に支持を与えるように構成された導入ダクトを備えていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の機器。
- 前記流体排出口は、前記本体と前記支持体組立品との間に支持を与えるように構成された排出ダクトを備えていることを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の機器。
- 前記流体導入口および流体排出口は、前記支持体組立品の同じ側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記流体導入口または排出口の一方は、前記流体導入口または排出口の他方を取り囲んでいることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の機器。
- 前記流体排出口は、前記転動支持体表面に複数の孔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項3〜7のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記本体は、前記流体の流れから取り込まれた物質を分離するための分離装置を備えていることを特徴とする請求項3〜8のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記流体導入口は、前記分離装置から流体の流れを受け入れることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の機器。
- 前記構成部材は、インペラと該インペラを駆動するモータとを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記構成部材は、前記機器のさらなる構成部材を駆動するためのモータを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記さらなる構成部材は、表面処理ヘッドの一部を形成することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の機器。
- 前記さらなる構成部材は、表面攪拌手段を備えていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の機器。
- 前記支持体組立品は、互いに離間している2つの回転可能部材を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の機器。
- 前記構成部材は、前記離間している2つの回転可能部材間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の機器。
- 流体導入口または排出口が、前記離間している部材間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項15または16に記載の機器。
- 真空掃除機の形態をとる請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載の表面処理機器。
