本発明の有機発光層の電子輸送層48を形成するのに使用される好ましい薄膜形成材料は、金属キレートオキシノイド化合物、例えばオキシン自体のキレート(一般的に、8−キノリノール又は8−ヒドロキシキノリンとも称される)である。このような化合物は、電子を注入及び輸送し、高レベルの性能を示すのに役立ち、且つ薄膜の形態で加工するのが容易である。オキシノイド化合物の典型的なものに、上記したものがある。
Claims (2)
- a)アレイ状発光画素であって、各画素が、色域を特定する色の異なる光を放出するための3種以上のOLEDと、該色域内の色の光を放出するための少なくとも1つの追加のOLEDとを有し、該追加のOLEDのパワー効率が該3種以上のOLEDの少なくとも1つのパワー効率より高い発光画素、及び
b)該画素におけるOLEDを駆動して、一定の色及び輝度を生じさせる手段
を備えたOLED表示装置であって、
該3種以上のOLEDが赤色光、緑色光および青色光を放出し、かつ、該追加のOLEDが白色光を放出し、さらに前記OLEDが、同じ発光材料と、異なる色の光を生成するための異なるカラーフィルターとを備えていることを特徴とする、OLED表示装置。 - 各画素が、前記追加のOLEDにより放出される光と同じ色である光を放出するための一つ以上のOLEDをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のOLED表示装置。
