Description
S(N)=1/((FP/N)+FS)*(1−Fc*(1−RR/L))

Claims (33)
- クラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、
通信可能に複数の計算ノードに結合され、ノード間通信距離を最小にするジョブ・パラメータに応じて特定のジョブを実行するために前記複数の計算ノードのトポロジ及び特定のジョブのジョブ・パラメータを判定するよう動作可能な管理ノード上で実行するクラスタ管理エンジンを備え、計算ノードはそれぞれ、カードに統合された少なくとも2つのプロセッサ及びカードに統合されたスイッチング・ファブリックを備え、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記複数の計算ノードのうちの1つにそれぞれが関連付けられた複数のクラスタ・エージェントから判定される前記計算ノードの状態を受信するよう動作可能であり、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記トポロジ及び前記複数の計算ノードのうちの1つ又は複数それぞれの前記判定された状態に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードの特定の部分集合を特定のジョブに動的に割り当て、前記特定の部分集合を使用して前記ジョブを実行するよう動作可能であり、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、配置の重みを使用して前記特定の部分集合に計算ノードを割り当てるよう動作可能であり、前記配置の重みは、計算ノードを前記特定の部分集合に割り当てることに前記クラスタ管理エンジンがどの程度積極的であるかを示すことを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。 - 請求項1記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記計算ノードのポートの数に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードの前記トポロジを判定するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項2記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記計算ノードが3次元トーラス構成で相互接続されることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項1記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記複数の計算ノードにおいて仮想クラスタを動的に割り当てるよう更に動作可能であり、前記ジョブに動的に割り当てられる特定の部分集合が、前記仮想クラスタの少なくとも部分集合を備えることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項4記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、
前記仮想クラスタにおいて第2の計算ノードの特定の部分集合を動的に割り当て、
前記第2の特定の部分集合を用いて第2のジョブを実行するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。 - 請求項4記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記カードがマザーボードであることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項6記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記ジョブを投入するユーザを検証するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項4記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、前記複数の計算ノードに第2の仮想クラスタを動的に割り当てるよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項8記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記第2の仮想クラスタは、第1の仮想クラスタとは異なる計算ノードを備えることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。
- 請求項1記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、
前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを実行するために、
前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、
1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータを備えるジョブ要求を受信し、
前記1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータに少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記ジョブの寸法を判定し、
前記判定された寸法に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記特定の部分集合を動的に割り当て、
前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを実行するよう動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。 - 請求項10記載のクラスタ管理ソフトウェアであって、前記クラスタ管理エンジンは、
前記ジョブ要求に基づいてポリシーを選択し、
該選択ポリシーに更に基づいて前記ジョブの前記寸法を動的に判定するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするクラスタ管理ソフトウェア。 - 計算ノードのクラスタを管理する方法であって、
複数の計算ノードの少なくとも一部分集合それぞれの状態を管理ノードによって判定する工程を備え、
前記計算ノードそれぞれは、カードと統合されたスイッチング・ファブリック、及び前記カードと統合された少なくとも2つのプロセッサを備え、前記方法は、更に、
特定のジョブを実行するためのジョブ・パラメータを前記管理ノードによって判定する工程と、
ノード間通信距離を最小にするジョブ・パラメータに応じて前記特定のジョブを実行するために前記複数の計算ノードのトポロジを前記管理ノードによって判定する工程と、
前記トポロジ及び前記複数の計算ノードのうちの1つ又は複数それぞれの判定された状態に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードの特定の部分集合を特定のジョブに前記管理ノードによって動的に割り当てる工程であって、配置の重みを使用して前記特定の部分集合に計算ノードを割り当て、前記配置の重みは、計算ノードを前記特定の部分集合に割り当てることに前記クラスタ管理エンジンがどの程度積極的であるかを示す工程と、
前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを前記管理ノードによって実行する工程とを備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項12記載の方法であって、前記計算ノードのポートの数に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードのトポロジを前記管理ノードによって判定する工程を更に備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13記載の方法であって、前記計算ノードが3次元トーラス構成で相互接続されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12記載の方法であって、前記複数の計算ノードに仮想クラスタを前記管理ノードによって動的に割り当てる工程を更に備え、前記ジョブに動的に割り当てられる特定の部分集合は、前記仮想クラスタの少なくとも部分集合を備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項15記載の方法であって、
前記仮想クラスタにおいて第2の計算ノード部分集合を前記管理ノードによって動的に割り当てる工程と、
前記第2の部分集合を用いて第2のジョブを前記管理ノードによって実行する工程とを更に備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項15記載の方法であって、前記カードがマザーボードであることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項17記載の方法であって、前記ジョブを投入するユーザを前記管理ノードによって検証する工程を更に備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項15記載の方法であって、前記複数の計算ノードに第2の仮想クラスタを前記管理ノードによって動的に割り当てる工程を更に備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項19記載の方法であって、前記第2の仮想クラスタは、前記第1の仮想クラスタとは異なる計算ノードを備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12記載の方法であって、前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを実行する工程が、
1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータを備えるジョブ要求を前記管理ノードによって受信する工程と、
前記1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータに少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記ジョブの寸法を前記管理ノードによって判定する工程と、
前記判定寸法に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記特定の部分集合を前記管理ノードによって動的に割り当てる工程と、
前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを前記管理ノードによって実行する工程とを備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項21記載の方法であって、
前記ジョブ要求に基づいてポリシーを前記管理ノードによって選択する工程と、
該選択ポリシーに更に基づいて前記ジョブの前記寸法を前記管理ノードによって動的に判定する工程とを更に備えることを特徴とする方法。 - クラスタ管理システムであって、
複数の計算ノードであって、各計算ノードは、カードと統合されたスイッチング・ファブリック、及び前記カードと統合された少なくとも2つのプロセッサを備え、前記計算ノードは、前記計算ノードの状態を求め、前記状態を管理ノードに通信するよう動作可能であるエージェントを更に備え、
前記管理ノードは、通信可能に前記複数の計算ノードに結合され、ノード間通信距離を最小にするジョブ・パラメータに応じて特定のジョブを実行するために前記複数の計算ノードのトポロジ及び特定のジョブのジョブ・パラメータを判定するよう動作可能であり、前記管理ノードは、前記トポロジ及び前記複数の計算ノードのうちの1つ又は複数それぞれの前記判定された状態に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードの特定の部分集合を特定のジョブに動的に割り当て、前記特定の部分集合を使用して前記ジョブを実行するよう動作可能であり、前記管理ノードは、配置の重みを使用して前記特定の部分集合に計算ノードを割り当てるよう動作可能であり、前記配置の重みは、計算ノードを前記特定の部分集合に割り当てることに前記管理ノードがどの程度積極的であるかを示すことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項23記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、前記計算ノードのポートの数に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記複数の計算ノードのトポロジを判定するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項24記載のシステムであって、前記計算ノードが3次元トーラス構成で相互接続されることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項23記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、前記複数の計算ノードにおいて仮想クラスタを動的に割り当てるよう更に動作可能であり、前記動的に割り当てられた特定の部分集合が、前記仮想クラスタの少なくとも部分集合を備えることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項26記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、
前記仮想クラスタにおいて第2の計算ノード部分集合を動的に割り当て、
前記第2の部分集合を用いて第2のジョブを実行するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項26記載のシステムであって、前記カードがマザーボードであることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項28記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、前記ジョブを投入するユーザを検証するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項26記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、前記複数の計算ノードに第2の仮想クラスタを動的に割り当てるよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項30記載のシステムであって、前記第2の仮想クラスタは、第1の仮想クラスタとは異なる計算ノードを備えることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項23記載のシステムであって、前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを実行するために、前記管理ノードは、
1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータを備えるジョブ要求を受信し、
前記1つ又は複数のジョブ・パラメータに少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記ジョブの寸法を判定し、
前記判定寸法に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記特定の部分集合を動的に割り当て、
前記特定の部分集合を用いて前記ジョブを実行するよう動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項32記載のシステムであって、前記管理ノードは、
前記ジョブ要求に基づいてポリシーを選択し、
該選択ポリシーに更に基づいて前記ジョブの前記寸法を動的に判定するよう更に動作可能であることを特徴とするシステム。
