Description
路は図3の横断面図に示されている。経路26と28では流体流が互いに逆方向に流れており、ステント20の遠位端24で接続されている。互いに逆に流れるようにすることによって、細胞の増殖を止めるか又は防ぐ目的で、放射性、高温、又は極低温の流体を、継続的にステント20内に流すことができる。この「高温」又は「熱い」という用語は、体温よりも温度が高いという意味である。又「極低温」又は「冷たい」という用語は、体温よりも温度が低いという意味である。ステント20は、一時的挿入のために送出カテーテルに接続されたままか、或いはより永続的な挿入のために取り外されるかの何れかである。何れの場合にも、流体の流れは、切り離し前にはステント20全体を通して循環するようになっている。最も単純な設計では、ステント20に接続された流体の通路は送出カテーテルのルーメンであるので、カテーテルが引き抜かれると流体の流れは止まることになる。カテーテルを通るように別個の柔軟なチューブを設け、相対的に小さい流体送出チューブ(図示せず)を後に残して、送出カテーテルを引き抜くようにすることもできる。カテーテル30を取り外した後、ステント20から流体が漏れるのを防ぐために、カテーテル30又はステント20、及び/又は両方にバルブ機構が装着されている。図2に示す実施例では、ゴム製又はエラストマ製のダイヤフラム25に、バルブアッセンブリ40の小さな中空針48が貫通している。更に、バルブ40は単純な逆流防止器を備えている。こうして、入って来る流体からバルブアッセンブリ40に圧力が印加されると、ボールシート44に着座しているボール45はバネ46に逆らって引き戻され、バルブ40は入ってくる流体に経路28を開ける。同様の配置により、圧力で、出て行く流体の経路26を開くことができるようになっている。チェックボールバルブは、例示目的で示しているに過ぎない。フラップバルブ、又は当技術では良く知られている他の多くの逆流防止器弁設計の何れを採用することもできる。差込型アタッチメントがバルブを自動的に開く複合システムでもよい。

Claims (8)
- 管腔内ステントにおいて、
細長いステントのコアと、
前記コアを覆い、前記コアに沿って延在し、かつ前記コアから間隔を置いて設けられたプラスチックのカバーと、
前記コアに沿ったプラスチックのカバー内に画成されていて流体を流すことができる中空の経路を備え、
前記コア及び前記プラスチックのカバーがコイル型ステントに形成されており、
更に、流体源と前記中空の経路の間のコネクタを備えている、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。 - 請求項1に記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記コアの中には中空通路がある、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記コアが支持ワイヤであることを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
- 請求項1ないし3の何れかに記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記コネクタがバルブを備えている、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
- 請求項1ないし4の何れかに記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記ステントがカテーテルに取り付けられている、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
- 請求項1ないし5の何れかに記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、
前記プラスチックのカバーが少なくとも一つの多孔質領域を備えている、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。 - 請求項1ないし6の何れかに記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記プラスチックのカバーが多孔質の伸ばされた発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレンである、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
- 請求項1ないし6の何れかに記載の管腔内ステントにおいて、前記プラスチックのカバーが発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレンである、ことを特徴とする管腔内ステント。
