表1から明らかなように、参考例1、実施例1の紙容器は、紙容器としての水蒸気バリア値が小さく、表2から明らかなように、参考例1、実施例1の紙容器は、内容物である焼酎の重量減少率が小さく、実用上問題がないが、比較例の紙容器は、紙容器として水蒸気バリア値が高く、また、内容物の重量減少率が大きく実用上問題がある。また、表3から明らかなように、比較例は紙容器を成形する時の熱シールの温度幅が狭く成形加工において問題がある。結論として、密度が0.935〜0.960の範囲で、厚さが20〜100μmの範囲で、水蒸気バリア値が10.0g/m2・day(JIS-K7129)以下であるポリエチレンをバリア層に使用することにより、積層体の水蒸気バリア値を10.0g/m2・day(JIS-K7129)以下とすることができ、また、85mm角、高さ300mm、容量1.8Lのゲーベルトップ型の紙容器で容器あたりで1.0g/day以下とすることができた。このような水蒸気バリア値に紙容器とすることによって、焼酎等の酒類にも好適に利用できるようになる。また、バリア層の耐熱性が良好であるため、炙りピンホールが発生しにくくなり、特に上限温度が高くなり、シール温度の幅が拡がる。さらに、中間ポリエチレン層、内面シーラント層に直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンを使用することにより、シール温度の下限温度が低くなり、シール温度幅が広くなる。

Claims (2)
- 少なくとも、外面シーラント層、紙層、補強ポリエチレン層、バリア層、中間ポリエチレン層、内面シーラント層の順に構成された積層体からなる紙容器であって、前記バリア層に、高密度ポリエチレンを使用し、前記中間ポリエチレン層に、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンを使用し、前記内面シーラント層に、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンを使用し、前記積層体の水蒸気バリア値が、10.0g/m2・day(JIS-K7129)以下であり、前記中間ポリエチレン層を押出しながら前記バリア層と前記内面シーラント層をサンドイッチラミネーションしていることを特徴とする紙容器。
- 前記バリア層を、密度が0.935〜0.960の範囲で、厚さが20〜100μmの範囲で、水蒸気バリア値が10.0g/m2・day(JIS-K7129)以下であるポリエチレンを使用したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙容器。
