Claims (3)
- 電子放出パネルの走査電極ラインに走査信号が印加される間に、前記走査電極ラインに交差するデータ電極ラインに、階調によるパルス幅を有する表示データ信号が印加される電子放出装置の駆動方法において、
それぞれの前記データ電極ラインに印加される前記表示データ信号は、奇数番目の走査信号に対応する奇数番目のデータ信号と、偶数番目の走査信号に対応する偶数番目のデータ信号とを含み、
前記データ信号が所定の閾値階調以下を有する時、前記奇数番目のデータ信号と前記偶数番目のデータ信号とのパルスは、それぞれの階調によるパルス幅を保持しつつ、それらの間に介されるブランキング期間を含んで連続され、
前記データ信号が所定の閾値階調以上を有する時は、前記奇数番目のデータ信号のパルスは、データ信号の印加と同時に放出開始電圧を超えて、その階調によるパルス幅を保持し、前記奇数番目のデータ信号の次の偶数番目のデータ信号と前記ブランキング期間で連続しないことを特徴とする電子放出装置の駆動方法。 - 前記奇数番目のデータ信号のパルスは、その階調によるパルス幅を保持するように遅延されて、前記ブランキング期間まで保持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電子放出装置の駆動方法。
- 前記偶数番目のデータ信号のパルスは、前記ブランキング期間からその階調によるパルス幅まで保持されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電子放出装置の駆動方法。
