Description
Claims (1)
- 光出力を生成するレーザダイオードと、制御信号に応答して前記レーザダイオードを駆動する駆動回路と、前記光出力を検知し、当該光出力に対応するモニタ信号を生成する出力モニタ部と、前記モニタ信号に応じて前記制御信号を生成する制御部とで構成される閉ループにより、前記レーザダイオードの光出力を所定の値に制御する光送信機において、
前記光送信機の内部温度を測定し、当該内部温度を示す温度モニタ値を出力する温度モニタ部と、
当該光送信機の外部から入力されるシャットダウン信号に応答して前記閉ループを遮断するスイッチと、
前記閉ループの遮断に応答して、前記制御信号として発光停止信号を前記駆動回路に供給し前記レーザダイオードに供給されるバイアス電流と変調電流を0とする手段と、
を備え、
前記制御部は、前記閉ループが前記シャットダウン信号により遮断されているときは、前記温度モニタ部から前記温度モニタ値を取得し、当該温度モニタ値に基づいて、前記閉ループが再開されるときの前記レーザダイオードの駆動電流の初期値を取得する手段を有し、
前記制御部は、D/A変換器およびA/D変換器を含むディジタル中央処理装置であり、
前記モニタ信号が前記A/D変換器によりディジタル値に変換され、ディジタル値に変換された前記所定の値と比較の結果得られた、ディジタル化された制御信号を前記D/A変換器によりアナログ値に変換して前記制御信号として前記駆動部に提供することを特徴とする光送信機。
