Claims (3)
- 核燃料物質としてウランのみを含むウラン燃料棒を複数本格子状に束ねてなるウラン燃料集合体と、核燃料物質としてウランとプルトニウムとを含むウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料棒を複数本格子状に束ねてなるウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料集合体とが取替燃料集合体としてそれぞれ予め定められた本数ずつ同時に装荷される原子炉炉心において、
炉心内の燃料集合体配列領域のうち、炉心内の燃料集合体格子配列を平面視した際に、前後左右斜めの周囲八方向のうち一方向以上が他の燃料集合体に接していない状態で燃料集合体が配置される領域である最外周領域と、前後左右斜めの周囲八方向のうちの少なくとも一方向で前記最外周領域にある燃料集合体と接した状態で燃料集合体が配置される領域である最外周から2層目の領域からなる炉心周辺領域に占めるウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料集合体の割合が、前記炉心周辺領域より内側の中央領域に占めるウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料集合体の割合より大きいと共に、
前記炉心周辺領域に占める3サイクル目の燃料集合体の割合が、前記中央領域に占める3サイクル目の燃料集合体の割合より大きいことを特徴とする原子炉炉心。 - 前記ウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料集合体は、集合体の格子状配列の最外周領域より内側領域にウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料棒が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の原子炉炉心。
- 沸騰水型原子炉炉心であって、前記ウラン−プルトニウム混合酸化物燃料集合体が9行9列以上の燃料棒正方格子配列であり、
出力運転中もっぱら用いる制御棒の周りに予め燃焼の進んだウラン燃料集合体を配置することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の原子炉炉心。
