Description
(1)光学的欠陥の量および不均一性、例えば曇り、しまおよび溶接の継ぎ目がきわめて少ない成形部品を製造することができる。曇りおよびしまは、成形部品内部の曇った部分を記載するために使用される用語であり、前記部分の透明度が他の部分の透明度より低く、理想的な散乱作用および外観に不利益である曇った部分である。
(2)本発明により製造される成形部品は表面欠陥の数が少ない。
(3)更に本発明により製造される成形部品は優れた光学的特性、例えば光の透過性、黄色度指数および散乱力を有する。
(4)製造される成形部品の機械的特性は同様に優れている。
(5)製造される成形部品は長い時間にわたり光に暴露した場合に、光に誘発された化学的または物理的分解による変色が全くないかまたはきわめてわずかである。
(6)これらの特性は本発明により製造される成形部品を照明分野に適用するために特に適したものにする。
(7)本発明の方法は更に成形材料の改良された流動性により特徴付けられる。

コア:コアの質量に対して少なくとも90質量%のメチルメタクリレートを含有するポリマー、
シェル1:第1シェルの質量に対して少なくとも80質量%のブチルアクリレートを含有するポリマー、
シェル2:第2シェルの質量に対して少なくとも90質量%のメチルメタクリレートを含有するポリマー。
コア:メチルメタクリレート(95.7質量%)、エチルアクリレート(4質量%)およびアリルメタクリレート(0.3質量%)からなるコポリマー、
S(シェル)1:ブチルアクリレート(81.2質量%)、スチレン(17.5質量%)およびアリルメタクリレート(1.3質量%)からなるコポリマー、
S(シェル)2:メチルメタクリレート(96質量%)およびエチルアクリレート(4質量%)からなるコポリマー。
Perkin Elmer社 Lambda19を使用してDIN5036によりD65/2°透過率を測定した。Perkin Elmer社 Lambda19試験装置を使用してDIN6167によりD65/10°黄色度指数を測定した。
本発明の実施例に使用される散乱剤はまずTechpolymer(登録商標)SBX−8(製造、積水化学、日本)、TOSPEARL(登録商標)120およびTOSPEARL(登録商標)3120(製造、GE Bayer Silicones)を含有する。
表1に記載される散乱剤を使用して、市販された製品、ポリマーB(比較例1,製造、Roehm社、ドイツ)に匹敵する光学特性を達成するために必要な濃度で、成形材料を製造した。成分を計量した後に混合物をタンブリングにより混合し、一軸スクリュー押し出し機で配合した。
すべての成形材料を同じパラメーターで射出成形した(表3参照)。TOSPEARL(登録商標)およびTechpolymer(登録商標)SBX−8を添加した場合に成形材料の流動特性の改良が認められた。
例1:光散乱剤としてTechpolymer(登録商標)SBX−8を有するポリマーAからなる成形部品
成形材料を製造するために、ポリマーA10kgおよび平均粒度8μmを有するTechpolymer(登録商標)SBX−8、0.3kgを30リットル混合ドラムに計量して入れ、タンブリングにより混合し、35mm一軸スクリュー押し出し機中でメルトで配合した。引き続きホットランナーモールドを使用して、表3に示されるパラメーターを用いて射出成形により成形部品が得られた。成形材料から正方形の板(100×100mm)を射出成形し、異なる壁厚、1mm、2mm、3mmおよび4mmの4つの正方形の部分を有する。
成形材料を製造するために、ポリマーA10kgおよびTOSPEARL(登録商標)120、0.3kgを例1に記載されるように処理して成形材料を得た。引き続きホットランナーモールドを使用して、表3に示されるパラメーターを用いて射出成形により成形部品が得られた。成形材料から正方形の板(100×100mm)を射出成形し、異なる壁厚、1mm、2mm、3mmおよび4mmの4つの正方形の部分を有する。
成形材料を製造するために、無色透明なポリマーA10kgおよびTOSPEARL(登録商標)3120、0.3kgを例1に記載されるように処理して成形材料を得た。引き続きホットランナーモールドを使用して、表3に示されるパラメーターを用いて射出成形により成形部品が得られた。成形材料から正方形の板(100×100mm)を射出成形し、異なる壁厚、1mm、2mm、3mmおよび4mmの4つの正方形の部分を有する。
ポリマーBからなる成形部品
ポリマーBからDEMAG D150射出成形機中でホットランナー注入型を使用して、表3に記載されるパラメーターを用いて100×100mm×1/2/3/4mmの寸法の板を射出成形した。
Claims (22)
- 光を散乱する成形部品の製造方法において、成形材料の全質量に対して少なくとも30質量%が、モノマーの質量に対して少なくとも40質量%のメチル(メタ)アクリレートを含有する混合物のラジカル重合により得られるポリメチル(メタ)アクリレートからなるマトリックスと、前記マトリックスに埋め込まれた球状プラスチック粒子とを含有する成形材料を射出成形法に使用し、前記粒径が1〜24μmの範囲であり、球状粒子がポリメチル(メタ)アクリレートの質量に対して0.05〜30質量%の範囲の濃度であり、使用される成形材料のマトリックスのポリメチル(メタ)アクリレートが20℃でNa−D−ライン(589nm)に関して測定した1.46〜1.54の範囲の屈折率を有し、かつ球状粒子の屈折率がポリメチル(メタ)アクリレート含有マトリックスの屈折率から0.01〜0.2だけ相違し、その際、成形材料に使用されるホモポリマーおよび/またはコポリマーの質量平均分子量Mwは20000〜1000000g/モルの範囲であり、成形材料を複雑な成形部品を製造できる型に注入し、その際、光を散乱する成形部品は、種々の壁厚を有するか、または1個以上の穿孔を有するか、または少なくとも1個の平坦でない表面を有するか、またはこれらの特徴の組み合わせを有することを特徴とする、光を散乱する成形部品の製造方法。
- 1〜30mmの範囲の壁厚を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1記載の方法。
- 最小壁厚と最大壁厚との差が1mmより大きい成形部品を製造する請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 最小壁厚と最大壁厚の比が1:2に等しいかまたはこれより大きい、成型部品を製造する請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 使用される成形材料において、球状プラスチック粒子の質量割合がポリメチル(メタ)アクリレートの質量に対して0.1〜25質量%である請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 使用される成形材料中の球状プラスチック粒子の大きさが2〜15μmの範囲である請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 使用される成形材料中の球状プラスチック粒子の少なくとも60%が1μm以上の大きさを有し、球状プラスチック粒子の多くとも30%が15μmより大きい大きさを有する請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 使用される成形材料中の球状プラスチック粒子が架橋シリコーンおよび/または架橋ポリスチレンおよび/または(メタ)アクリレートおよびスチレンをベースとする架橋コポリマーを含有する請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 使用される成形材料が添加剤および/または染料を含有する請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 溶融した成形材料の温度が210〜270℃である請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 射出成形ノズルの温度が230〜270℃である請求項1から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 注入型の温度が40〜80℃である請求項1から11までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- シリンダーの温度が220〜260℃である請求項1から12までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 成形材料溶融物を50〜1000バールの範囲の圧力で注入型に注入する請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 注入速度が段階付けられ、第1段階で0.01〜0.1m/sの範囲であり、第2段階で0.1〜1m/sの範囲である請求項1から14までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 注入速度が第3段階において0.05〜0.5m/sの範囲で段階付けられる、請求項15記載の方法。
- 配量距離がスクリュー直径の1〜4倍である請求項1から16までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 5°以上のエネルギー半減角度を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1から17までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 1.5°以上の強度半減角度を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1から18までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 厚さ3mmの層に関して50%に等しいかまたはこれより大きい光透過率を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1から19までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 12に等しいかまたはこれより小さい黄色度指数を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 70MPa以上のISO527による降伏応力を有する成形部品を製造する請求項1から21までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
